Dear Beloved Members,

In preparation for the eventual full re-implementation by the Professional Regulation Commission
(PRC) of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements for PIC renewals, please be
reminded that pursuant to Section 7 of PRBCB Resolution 2017-05 (Operational Guidelines on the
Implementation of RA 10912 otherwise known as the “Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Act of
2016 for Customs Brokers), customs brokers should earn specific credit units in the following four (4) major
areas:
Credit Units Minimum Credit
Major Area Coverage of the Area Required Units to be
Earned per Year
Ethics Management and Code of Ethics for customs brokers and
Social Responsibility management responsibility, Standards 10 credit units 4 credit units
(EMS) of professional practice and other
competencies
Customs and Tariff All laws relating to customs and tariff
Laws, Rules and including rules and regulations 15 credit units 5 credit units
Regulations (CTL) affecting the practice of customs broker
profession
International Trade (IT) Updates on international conventions,
agreements and treaties on trade 10 credit units 5 credit units
involving the Philippines
Supply Chain and The supply chain and logistics
Logistics (SCL) management 10 credit units 4 credit units
17 credit units
Total 45 credit units per year

In this regard, please be informed that your CCBI has prepared a series of weekly FREE
webinars for this year, beginning March 2024. There will be two (2) topics per month where each
topic would be offered for two (2) consecutive weeks VIA ZOOM PLATFORM. Accommodation is on a
first-one thousand-to-register basis. An attendee in the first offering of the topic who attends
its second offering shall not be credited with units.
