Salutations to father, grandfather, great grandfather.

They are my lineage of forefathers. Salutations to all my
forefathers.
My forefathers themselves were born as their forefathers. So,
eventually I was also in the lineage of these forefathers. I am
myself born in several janmas as myself. The true self the Lord
is responsible for this cycle of births. So, I am myself born across
in the cosmos in different ways and combinations. I go back in
to fire, I go back in to water, I go back in to earth, I go back in to
air, I go back in to space and I am back in many forms. I am my
own father, I am my own grandfather, I am my own great
grandfather, I am my own mother, I am my own grandmother
and I am my own great grandmother. I am my own fathers side
relatives and mothers side relatives. I am my own fathers side
male and their wife’s relatives. I am my own mother side male
and their wife’s relatives. It is ultimately the Lord’s grace that I
am born ever as myself everywhere as ‘aham’ - Pitru dyanam.

Pitru Paaduka aradhana is a very rare event which is supposed
to invoke the blessings of all Pitrus and it will be a great blessing
to those who are destined to participate. I don’t think I will get an
opportunity to perform it any time later in my life, unless there
are compelling special circumstances to do it. I am saying this
well in advance so that all our devotees and disciples are
prepared to participate in this function.
I have all long heard stories like
- If your blessings are there, I will participate.
- I have been assigned a new project and hence I cannot come,
etc.,
There is no compulsion that you have to participate. But I have
heard many lamenting later that they could not for obvious
reasons which are given more importance than such events.
Out of 33 koti devatas, 31 crores are Jiva pitru devatas. Whether
you all can come or not, with Lord’s grace they will be gracing
the occasion. To get a Pitru Paaduka one should have done
many crores of good actions.
Pitrubhya swadhavibhya swada namaha
Pithamahebhya swadavibhya swada namaha
Prapitamahebhya swadavibhya swada namaha
Akshan pitaraha.
To conduct one ‘Pitru Paaduka aradhana’ we do.
8 Atheetha prayoga deva prashnam.
16 Prayoga deva prashnam.
24 Karana prashnam.
108 Yoni prashnam.
264 Dina prashnam.
All these Prashnams are done in advance to get to know the
directions of 31 crores of Jiva pitru devatha. After performing
‘Pitru Paaduka aradhana’ we do some Prayaschittha homams
4
to satisfy various celestial bodies for a period of 628 days. In
case of one day break in continuity while doing this
Prayaschitthams, an additional 4 days of Prayaschitthams have
to be performed.

A note on forefathers (Pitrus).
We are all born to our parents. Our parents are born to their
parents and so on. This chain is endless. This chain is called
Pitrus. This chain extends to thousands of years. Once we are
born in this world, the runam which we are attracted to is called
‘Pitru runam’.
The body becomes the temple for the soul which is the God.
The archaka is the mind. To house the soul, the body had to be
generated. Once the temple was built, an archaka was needed
and the mind found it’s due place to do it’s job. This system was
made possible by the Pitrus and hence the ‘Pitru runam’ starts
on the birth of a child. It’s parents runam towards their
parents due to their birth to them and the generations of Pitrus
runam remains intact due to the chain of births in the family. The
soul is expected to visit the Pitru loka get cleansed and be born
once again till finally a Sadhguru takes up the responsibility of
relieving the soul from the chain of births and deaths. The karma
so accumulated is shouldered by the Sadhgurus of various
families, who once again look to a ‘Prayogi’ to dispose off their
accumulated burden of their disciples for their own exit from the
chains of births and deaths.
The runam towards the pitrus can never be resolved and hence
one is expected at least to show some reverence to their
forefathers. Since mother and father are treated as
representatives of the forefathers, one is supposed to take care
of them befittingly and always show respect & regards to them.
This very life is because of the pitrus. Their imprints can be
found everywhere in one’s life. Right from education to job to
earnings to comfort to property to prosperity to health to

5
relationships to love to peace is their domain. None can escape
them and they are found in every walks of one’s life. Most of us
take them for granted and when such situations arise, they do
remind us and it reflects in our day to day life. Many of us demand
their blessings but do not care to perform even our basic
obligatory duties towards them.
Today is Naga chavuthi and is celebrated by many in Telangana,
Andhra Pradesh and many parts of the Bharatha maha desha.
People visit Naga puttas. Some have the habit of pouring milk
and doing abishega to Naga murthies etc., It is believed that the
Pitrus live in the form of snakes in the Patala loka. In some
cases since snakes have the ability to visit Patala lokas and
some do a living there, the snakes are considered to be closer
in relationship to the Pitrus. Of course we have yet another
occasion to celebrate our forefathers through ‘Pitru paaduka
aradhana’ at Ahobilam commencing on 7th Jan 2020.

I was very young, may be my age was 14 or 15 years, Maharishi
Rajar took me to the river Kaveri, poured water many times in to
my hands. I have to offer it to Surya. A Mantram will be recited
by him and I was asked to drink that water. Likewise, many times
during the day and many times during the nights this went on.
Sometimes he will say offer it to Chandra, sometimes to Kuja,
sometimes to Soumya, sometimes to Guru, sometimes to Sukra,
sometimes to Shani, sometimes to Rahu , sometimes to Ketu,
this went on as he called, Gayatri, Savitri, Ashwini Kumaras,
ashta vasus, ekadasa rudras, dwadasa aadityas. Further he
called the rakshasas, asuras, yakshas, kinneras, apsaras,
kimpurushas, gandharvas, the various manus and many
thousands of aksharas. This went on day and night. I was just
consuming water. This went on non-stop for 24 days. We
returned back to forest and we did yagnam for another 24 days.
After seven days, I collected the yagna vibhuthi. He asked me
to mix it with water and drink the whole lot. It took me another 2
days to complete it. I felt some sort of giddiness. He made me
6
to lie below a banyan tree. I slept for 4 days. When I got up, he
was not there. I went back to our hut. I found him more in the
form of agni. I did 108 pradakshnas and prostrated him. He
came back to Maharishi Rajar’s form. He smiled and said, ‘all
the Prarabdhas which were left to be consumed have been
consumed. Now you bear the burden of millions of people. These
will remain with you and give you the capacity to consume more
and more of it. The gothra rishis and the pitrus will be with you.
The other side of it is that you have to undergo the sufferings in
all forms of life for the Prarabdhas consumed and the Prarabdhas
which you will consume in future. The sufferings cannot be
expressed to anyone for none can understand it. But you will
not worry for you have the blessings of the nature always with
you’. That day I could hardly understand the meaning of what
he said. Today, I know what he meant. Bhagawan has blessed
me more today as I am able to consume more of it with much
more ease & comfort. Everything is ‘Bhagawan’s grace’. I salute
Maharish Rajar and all my Masters.

‘Zeal to live’ is very important for survival. Some times when
people are laid up due to ill health, this ‘zeal to live’ becomes
absent and they die in the process. In such cases people are
not prepared to fight back. Why this happens? First and foremost
is the pitrus. The encouragement to live life comes from them.
When such an encouragement doesn’t come from the pitrus,
the ‘zeal to live’ life reduces. Some are not just prepared to fight
out the disease and consequently they succumb. In some cases,
its more the curse of the forefathers that such humans even
tend to curse or start talking about their past disappointments in
life. When they die it will be a death with anguish/agony/regrets,
which is not good for the family. Ultimately the soul too doesn’t
reach the pitru loka and needs help to be placed back in pitru
loka.
The aksharas in the environment can create depression. This
too reduces the intensity of the ‘zeal to live’ life. Once again the
7
aksharas and the pitrus act in tandem. When the pitrus are
unsatisfied they can make the environment dull through certain
aksharas which create depression.
Sometimes the fate of the past life in the form of karmas do not
allow a person to live life with zeal. So, the karmas of the past
haunt the person to have a depressive view of life.
There are many more reasons too. But, in all cases the karmas
& pitrus play an important role in ‘zeal to live’ life.

Right is power and left is wisdom. It is believed that Lord holds
the Chakra in the right and Shanku in the left. In some cases,
he likes to use wisdom as power and power as wisdom. In such
cases the Lord is considered param satvik. In Mangalagiri also,
Nrusimha holds in reverse direction. In all such cases the Lord’s
1st priority is wisdom and the power aspect is secondary. Right
is karna pisachi and left is hasthi pisachi. Karna pisachi provides
all information where as hasthi pisachi provides classified
information. As you face East right shoulder points to South and
left shoulder to North. North is devatas. South is Pitrus. When
you wear the sacred thread it starts from left shoulder towards
right waist. This is yagnopavitham. When you do pitru karyams,
it is from right shoulder to left waist. It is prachinaveetham. Chakra
is needed to tackle pitrus. Shankhu is enough to tackle devatas.
In some cases, Lord prefers to tackle pitrus through wisdom
and devatas thru power. it is called archavatara rahasyam.

Initially, I thought of performing all the eight Prayoga Paaduka
Aradhana before offering ‘Prayogi Paada Deeksha’ to my
disciples. The 8 Prayoga Paaduka Aradhanas almost takes 8
years and the 9th year would have been the ‘Prayogi Paada
Deeksha’. Already we have completed the ‘Raksha’ & ‘Kamala’
Paaduka Aradhanas in the year 2017 & 2018. Since I have a
number of other things to do as a Prayogi, with the divine
permission of the Lord, it has been decided to perform the ‘Pitru
8
Paaduka Aradhana’ at Simhachalam on 7th January and
hopefully the ‘Deva Paaduka Aradhana’ and ‘Prayogi Paada
Deeksha’ together in the next yagnam.
So, instead of 8 Paaduka aradhanas only 4 will be performed.
Only those who have been blessed with these 4 sets of Paadukas
will be eligible to participate and get the ‘Prayogi Paada deeksha’.
Please be guided accordingly.

Pitru paaduka aradhana.
It was desired that at least one person from a family attend the
Pitru paaduka aradhana so that the benefit goes to families of
different gotras. Now I am flooded with requests to accommodate
more people from a single family etc., Some requesting me that
they cannot attend personally and still want the Paadukas.
Padmini Priyadarshini was the first to spot my weakness and
asked me whether I am serious that only 216 Paadukaas will be
allowed and not more. She is right in spotting my weakness for
you all. Now I have decided to extend it to 432 Paadukaas.
As far as possible, please be physically present to receive the
Paadukaas, else collect it after the function from Sri Kutumba
Rao or Sri Kuppa Rao. More than one member from a family is
also being allowed. I do hope that you will be judicious while
registering for Paadukaas, so that many families are benefitted.
Those who cannot attend, please submit your gotra and
nakshatra since there will be a special Pitru paaduka prayoga
sankalpam which is very important.

Banana leaf is considered to be good for invoking the blessings
of the Pitrus. It is said that Pitrus are very happy when food is
offered in banana leaves. Food taken from banana leaf invokes
the blessings of the Pitrus and hence came the vachanam -
‘annam amritham’. There is a remedial measure in Prayoga veda/
chaya atharva veda which states that the person who covers
9
himself with banana leaves and is seen by mother the drishti
dosha disappears, in case inadvertently she has not seen him
so when he was a kid. So, by only covering the private parts and
not the other parts of the body, the other portions of the body
becomes vulnerable to drishti. Already Bhima had vowed that
he will break the thighs of Duryodhana and hence that part needs
to be exposed in order to see that vow of Bhima is fulfilled.

Shat tila ekadasi (07/03/2013).
More prayers to pitrus on this day.
Six ways in which til (gingelly) is used on this day. It is believed
that Sri Mahavishnu is pleased with this practice and his blessings
help you to live a pompous life in this world and occupying a
good cosmic constellation in the nether world.
1. Taking bath in til water - thila snanam.
2. Grinding til and applying it as paste after the bath.
3. Tila homam at home.
4. With tilam and water doing tharpanams to pitrus.
5. Til or til oil as daanam to a Brahmin.
6. Taking tilannam - Til bath as prasadam of the Lord.

Doing this six things on the Shat tila ekadasi day earns the
blessings of the pitrus. Lord Maha Vishnu is immensely pleased.

For those who feel life is a choice, the legend says -
After death, the jeeva reaches the loka called pitru loka. Here,
there is a palace for Yama Dharma Raja. There will be a council
headed by Yama. There are 12 members including Yama.
Chitragupta will read your life history to the august panel. The
12 members are
1.Yama Dharma Raja
2.Dharmadhipar.
10
3.Danadyakshar.
4.Dananjayar.
5.Dharma Guptar.
6.Dharma Jeevar.
7.Dharmagyar.
8.Dharma Nandanar.
9.Needhi Margar.
10.Artha Vadar.
11.Satyavaan.
12.Gyana Lochanar.
Since while living life, we claim we r the doers, what all good
and bad was done by us is evaluated. Finally a decision is taken
according to the merits of the case.

We are all born with wings but we prefer to crawl in life. The
inner meaning of this statement is the wonderful relationship
between the devatas and the pitrus. What flies is the Garuda
which is the devata. What crawls is the snake, the pitrus. Though
there are ways and methods for one to live choicelessly
conscious life full of awareness where you get to know that you
are not the doer and Lord is the doer, we always think we are
the doers and keep doing things without that awareness of non-
doer. So, the karma gets attached and your journey is limited to
shuttle service between the bhooloka and pitru loka. Never it
comes to the mind that we are not the doer and Lord is the doer
So that you can escape the karma aspect and live a joyous life
and fly off to the deva loka. So, though we are all born with the
wings of choiclessly being conscious to be aware of non doership,
we prefer to crawl like a snake owning responsibility of doership
in the form of karma. This is what Rumi meant according to me.

Kannan of Devarmalai has asked a question.
Q My friend’s parents are not performing the yearly karma for
their elders. My friend is very upset about this. So, can my friend
11
perform?
A It is said that one’s duty one has to perform. I cannot perform
my father’s duty. My father cannot perform my duty. Krishna
says in Bhagawad Gita,
‘Swadharmo nidanam shreyaha, Para dharmo bhaya vaha’.
‘By doing our duty let death be the penalty thereof. We will do
our duty and gracefully accept death as the gift instead of doing
someone’s duty and fearing throughout life’.
There are some exceptions to this rule.
1) If a Guru says, accept this and do it, it can be done.
I would like to bring to the notice of all my friends an incident
that happened in my life. Through my Guru Maharishi Rajar
those days, I knew a vedic pundit by name Sri Siva Gurunadha
Sastry, who hailed from a village near Paramakudi, South of
Tamil Nadu, those days. I used to meet him very often to get to
know the intricacies in vedas. I used to call on him as per
directions of my Guru Rajar. Somehow, he used to like me a lot
and used to very often say,’I would be glad if you do my
samskaram after death’. I used to laugh at this since he had 3
sons and 3 daughters.
One day when I was in forest with Maharishi Rajar, he told me to
go and meet Sri Siva Gurunadha Sastry at his village and do a
duty which I was expected to do. I could not understand my
Master’s words. I just left and came to the village. He had died
the previous night and the six children were quarelling about his
property. He had a lot of self-earned property and he had written
a will writing the entire property in the name of some veda
patashalas, orphanages and to his kula devata. Nothing he had
written in the name of his kids. So, the kids refused to perform
his funeral. I got the opportunity to perform his funeral when I
was 18 years old. Please note here then my father too was alive.
2) Since parents are alive on the thithi day, your friend can do
‘aamaroopena hiranya shrardham’. One plantain leaf, on that 2

12
kgs of rice, two kachha plantain (vazhaikka), 200gms seppang
kizhangu, 200gm moong dhal, 200gm jaggery, one brass or
copper tumbler with water and dakshina which is affordable, to
be given to a brahmin on the thithi day by praying to the elders
and prostrating the brahmin.
3) In case your friend wants me to do, I can do as a Guru on
their behalf. But I need details. He has to bear the cost part
since he has to spend for his forefathers and not me.
Other than my father’s shrardham, I almost get done 56
shrardhams in a year for people known to me or whereever I
have done the deha smaskaram. Lord’s grace.
***
Once we are born, we have to perish. Lord mentally prepares
us for death. It looks like once you are born you wait for death.
Between birth and death, God did not want you to be lonely. So,
he created family, friends, business, job, love, service just to
keep you engaged with something or other. Unfortunately, we
get struck up with these things and start fighting, quarrelling,
ego, depression etc., and become blissfully unaware of the
impending death. Everyday you sleep for some time. That is
nothing but temporary death. In deep sleep, you don’t know
anything. So, don’t fear death. Boldly mature and learn to face
it. Lord’s grace.
****
With Bhakthi you do yagnam.
With Shradda you do shrardham. In fact, shrardham is called
technically Pitru yagnam.
*****
I see in families if there are three brothers, they join and do the
shrardham. This is not acceptable. Those days, if you eat from
the same kitchen, shrardham can be done together. If kitchens
are different, individually brothers have to do shrardham at their
place. Meeting on shrardham day and doing not acceptable.

Surya is soul. Chandra is mind. On Amavasya, it is considered
that the mind is totally absent and somewhere in the dark the
soul alone exists. Once anyone dies, they reach the pitru loka.
Once body is not there, the mind also doesn’t exist and the soul
alone exists. So amavasya pitrus are revered since they are
more a soul without body.
Worshippers of Surya always celebrate ammavasya as
auspicious as there is no trace of Chandra. Worshippers of
Chandra always feel ammavasya as inauspicious since there is
no trace of Chandra.
Worshippers of Surya are called Sauram - Surya vamshi.
Worshippers of Chandra are called Chandrayanam - Chandra
vamshi.
Surya is father - aatman
Chandra is mother – mind - manas
Surya doesn’t undergo any change barring eclipses time.
Chandra undergoes changes every day and during eclipses.
Aatma doesn’t change. Mind keeps vacillating. Lunar movements
have an effect on earth (bhoo...matha). Tidal waves in the ocean
changes due to moon’s effect. Like this there are thousands of
reasons. I celebrate everything, including the sun and moon and
these things have no effect in my dictionary of life.
***
There are two types. People who pray to Surya, Sun God and
people who pray to Chandra, Moon God. People who pray to
Surya are from Sauram or the Surya clan.
People who pray to Chandra are from Chandrayana or the
Chandra clan. People who pray to Surya are more of the soul
type. For them, mind is always wavering and not acceptable.
People who pray to Chandra are more mind type. They feel soul
is unattached and not flexible. So not acceptable.
Surya is father, Chandra is mother. Father is in his own world.
Mother is flexible.
14
Father is strict and mother is compassionate. One sect believes
that unless one is strict, discipline will not exist. Another sect
believes, discipline cannot be forced, but through compassion,
discipline can be enforced. So, amavasya is auspicious in Tamil
Nadu since Tamilians follow sauram. No trace of moon, no mind.
So, only soul and hence auspicious. But, amavasya is not
auspicious for Andhraites. No moon, so not auspicious. But
padyami is auspicious since a small arc of the moon is visible.
So, every region has its own faith and they are perfect to those
in the region. Lord’s mercy and grace.
*****
Doing shrardham to parents or elders is a must as long as one
is able to mix food with his own hands and eat. If he is being
spoon fed by someone else it need not be done but the following
needs to be done.
In a banana leaf, Keep 2 kgs of rice, 2 plantains (kaccha ones
used for curry purpose), 200 gms of arvi (hindi) or seppang
kizhangu (tamil), 100 grams jaggery piece, 200 grams of green
gram (pesara), one brass or copper tumbler with water
and dakshina in commensurate to one’s earning and living to
be given to a brahmin on the thidhi day of parents or elders.
*****
Those days certain practices existed. We cannot keep blindly
following it. What was possible those days may not be possible
today. What is possible today may not be possible in future.
This is the basis of evolution. Those days when people die, the
kartha for one year will not go to hills, will not go long distances,
will not visit temples, pilgrimage etc., the reason is just now one
death has happened. The kartha should be alive to perform the
shrardham and other responsibilities. Going long distances, hill,
pilgrimage is taking risk. So, let him for an year be confined to
his place. These days things have changed and a function called
‘subha sweekaram’ was introduced. Normally after doing the
initial days of karma/shrardham, on the last day this is performed.
15
The reason is, today man has to go to work to survive. Today,
he has more challenges to live life. He can’t keep sitting in the
house and keep crying for a year. Though a death has happened
on the 13th day (according to community you belong it differs),
‘subha sweekaram’ function is done. That is why sweekaram -
Sweekaram means voluntarily accepting auspiciousness, ie.,
subham. After doing it, you must be happy since through subham
you have given a pledge to your pitrus/fore fathers that you will
be happy and do auspicious things at home and outside. So, in
our perspective, after the 13th day, you cannot observe dukham
/ mourning. Maharishi Rajar used to say don’t keep mourning
after the first 12 days. From 13th day, keep your pitrus in heart,
pray to them and do all auspicious activities and they will bless
you. So, go to temples, do poojas. These are all sacred
auspicious things. Don’t stop it. Lord’s mercy and grace.
******
Prasad was very worried today that the crows didn’t come
yesterday when they did ‘Pinda pradhaanam’ for his sister who
passed away recently. Probably the Pitrus are already satisfied
or there is a chance they may come from the ground in form of
ants and insects and eat it and you cannot see it. Those days
crows and birds were in plenty. Further crows are considered as
pitrus in India since they are as old as creation. Now due to cell
phone towers and the fast life of the city many have died or
migrated. Still, we do see pigeons. In the ever changing world,
we should also change to look at these things more from the
heart and see Pitrus in every object of creation. So, don’t get
dejected. You can also keep the Pindams along with some
jaggery and feed the cows in case you feel very sentimental on
the Mahalya ammavasya day.

One day, I was going for a funeral. A boy known to me was
following my car. I stopped the car outside the grave yard and
went inside to mark my respect for the departed soul. It was
almost an hour and I came out. I saw the boy waiting there to
16
see me. I was just looking at the grave yard gate. He waited for
another 10 minutes and could not resist, so he called me.
He: Guruji, may I know what you are looking at?
Me: Someone known to me passed away. I just attended the
funeral. I am just waiting for him at the gate, so that before his
leaving the grave yard after the cremation, I can see him one
last time and talk to him.
The boy stared at me and ran away in his bike. I am yet to see
him after that. Lol
******
Death happens to the body but not to the soul. The soul goes in
search of another body. This process goes on and on unless
the soul is in perfect harmony with the nature. With repeated
births and deaths of the bodies, the soul evolves itself to a stage
where it merges in to universal consciousness.
*****
Body belongs to time. You belong to eternity. Your body has a
time limit. You are timeless. As a temporary measure, you have
come to live in this body which is time bound. You know no
death or even no birth. Just that you have not realised that you
are pure consciousness without any flaw, as perfect as it should
be and beyond the figment of time.
******
Someone passed away. A very very aged and elderly man passed
away. Now 10 days, no one should touch anything. None in the
house can cook. None connected can light a lamp. No festivities.
Only others who are eligible can cook. Those days people used
to really feel for the departed soul. They will keep on talking
great about the person all these 10 days. The person’s integrity,
honesty, love, and all good things he had done in his life will be
debated by elders and youngsters. They simply live on the
thoughts of the departed soul. So, the job of cooking and other
house hold works are done by others. Today, if a soul has
17
departed you feel relieved. Absolutely no time for anyone to keep
talking about the goodness of the departed soul. Today, you
don’t really feel it’s a loss since many earn in the family. Further
today, as long as you are useful everyone respects you and
once you are bed ridden everyone escapes with some excuse.
Today things have changed. You can’t simply keep following
something in the name of tradition without looking in to the
present day fabric of life.

He was very close to me, an association of almost 35 years. He
had given me his will to be given to his kin and kith on his death.
He wanted me to perform his funeral rites and he did not prefer
his kids doing it. He had written a separate will about this to me
and his kids and was delivered by another family member on
his death. So, I performed the funeral.
After the funeral, I read the will in presence of his kin and kith.
There were also some outsiders. The entire property was written
in my name by my friend. He had vented his disappointment
about the way he and his wife (departed earlier to him) were
treated by his kids. This was cited as the reason for writing the
property in my name.
I just looked at the faces. They all looked down. I just burst into
laughter. I just tore the will right in front of their eyes. I said,
‘totally 6 kids, amicably settle it among yourselves’. After a few
weeks, I received a communication from them that they have
shared the property equally among themselves.
But I didn’t share the right of doing every year shrardham to this
soul. Lord’s grace.

Vaddadi S Murthy: An eldest son without the company of his
wife though alive, performs pitru karyam. Will it reach the pitrus.
We: Wife is agni. Without wife, no agni karyam for self or
forefathers can be performed. But for loka kalyanam, agni
karyam can be done by anyone.
18
The so performed pitru karyam doesn’t reach the pitru loka and
doesn’t satisfy the basic needs of the manes/forefathers/
ancestors/pitrus. So, such a karyam is defective.
We would like to add that here there is a chance. One paksham
(15 days) the shrardham can be postponed to the next shrardha
thidhi and performed with the bharya/wife is considered as done
on the shrardha thithi.
Lord’s grace.

Someone was asking me about the curses one airs in the private
chat versus displacement of souls from the original clan.
My reply - What is a curse? Sometimes we see people cursing
each other. There are a number of people among us who curse
others in anger. What happens to these curses? Do they really
affect the other person? When someone is disappointed with
the behaviour of the other person, in anger, he or she openly
spells out a curse/curses. In puranas and mythological stories,
we see a number of characters who curse the other. When are
such curses are effective?
Q) When an ignorant unconscious person curses during the
day or night, what happens?
A) Nothing happens. He is an unconscious person and his curse
will have no effect. Nothing to worry.
Q) When an ignorant unconscious person curses during the
twilight time (Pradosha kaalam) say evening 5.30 pm to 6.30
pm (presuming sun rises at 6 a.m, otherwise adjustment need
to be made) and morning 5.30 am to 6.30 am, what happens?
A) Since rishis, munis, celestial cosmic forces, devatas will be
crossing over and will be saying ‘tathasthu’, the curse will have
an effect. When they say ‘tathasthu’ it means ‘so be it’. Now at
this hour when the ignorant unconscious person curses, it will
certainly affect and have an effect, since it is endorsed by the
cosmic forces. The degree of curse will depend on emphasis of
19
the curse by the person. That’s why it is advised to speak only
good or maintain silence during the pradosha kaalam.
Q) When the conscious person curses what happens?
A) when a conscious person curses, the curse will certainly affect
the soul 24 x 7 x 365 days. The rule is the conscious person is a
balanced person. He is beyond anger, resentment or
expectations. So, he cannot curse. So, the conscious person is
always diligent despite cursing. May be the act of the other is so
serious and it affects the society or masses. So, a curse will
only make the soul repent for its actions. Such a soul did not
learn softly. So, harsh methods are enforced through a curse to
see that the soul is born elsewhere, loses touch with the clan,
suffers, does laborious work for the others who got affected, to
bring a reformation. The karma acts in tandem with the curses
and the curses act in resonance with the karma.
The soul gets deviated from the original path and suffers in the
body in the next janma/janmas. These souls need to be
redeemed from the curses fast and should come back to their
original clan. This is what is the job of a dakshachaaraa Prayogi.
He tries to redeem the curses fast through prayogas, takes the
liabilities and sin on his head and sees to it that the cursed soul
reaches the clan/pitrus for further evolution. The life of a
dakshachaara Prayogi is full of complications as he bores the
sins of others and he will be the last person to attain moksha.
He liberates every being and finally gets eligibility to enter the
world of ‘Narayana’ which is ‘vaikundam’.
Lord’s grace. Our prayers.

A few years back I was waiting to board a bus from Theni to
Madurai. There was a shop near the bus stand. A young boy
was looking at some candies placed in a glass jar. Since he was
looking at it for long, the shop keeper called him and gave a
candy for free. There was an old man standing near me. He
was also watching this. After the boy left, the old man went to

20
the shop keeper and gave him Rs.500/-.
Oldman: Keep filling this jar with candies. If any kid comes, give
free candies.
The shop keeper was stunned. I went to the old man and said,
‘can you give me Rs.10/-?’.
The old man smiled at me and readily gave me Rs.10/-.
I just thanked him. I came to Madurai by bus. Left Madurai to
Kamakhya (Assam). I sat with the beggars and collected Rs.43/
- in 4 hours.
I left Guwahathi and left for Delhi onwards to Jammu on to Katra
Vaishno Devi. I now took this Rs.43 and added the Rs.10 given
by the old man at Theni and put them in the hundi. I left Katra
and via Delhi reached Trivandrum. I went to Varkala, took bath
in the sea, went to Lord Janardhana Swamy temple and offered
prayers. The priests also performed a tila homam on behalf of
all of you to your pitrus.
With a lot of satisfaction, I left for Hyderabad.

Master Su Yen went to the house of a zamindar like an ordinary

The zamindar was pleased with the manner in which Master Su
Yen asked him for a job.
Zamindar: From today your job is to water the plants and trees
and take care of my garden.
Master su yen: Oh! Sure master.
Master Su Yen took care of the garden for 15 days. After 15
days, Master Su Yen went to the zamindar and said, ‘master, I
have to urgently leave this place. A boy is in need of a candy
and I have to be at that place’. Zamindar was amused and asked
Master Su Yen, ‘you are very funny. You are a good worker and
why for a boy’s sake, you should quit?’.
The zamindar gave him rs.510/-.
21
The old man is none other than Master Su Yen. Out of Rs.510/
- which was given by the zamindar Rs.500/- was handed over to
the shopkeeper for candies to kids and Rs.10/- I had taken to
Kamakhya onward to Vasihno Devi temple in Jammu.
I enjoyed this work with my Master Su Yen.

Vaddadi S Murthy: An eldest son of a Brahmin family and his
wife from a non- Brahmin family perform shrardham. Will it reach
the pitrus.
We: Certainly it will reach. There is nothing like a Brahmin or
non-brahmin as far as the soul is concerned, though these days
Brahmanism is on the basis of birth in a brahmin family. A brahmin
was categorised as a Brahmin those days provided he does six
activities on a day to day basis in addition to trikala sandhya
vandana. Even treating that such a birth as a Brahmin happened
in a family of Brahmins and that he marries a non-brahmin girl,
the girl coming in to the family becomes a Brahmin and dons
the gothra of the husband.
Hence such couples are very much eligible to perform pitru
karyam befittingly and that will satisfy the pitrus.

Last year, I was attending a funeral of a ‘devotee’ of mine
somewhere in coimbatore. The procession was on. I too was
walking. On seeing me talking to myself, one of the sons of the
departed soul asked me, ‘to whom are you talking?’
I said, I am just talking to your dad only. He is here. Wants to
check whether you guys are properly conducting the rituals or
not for him. He has handed over two wills for all his properties.
One written in the name of family, and the other one in my name.
So, I will watch. In case you guys do it befittingly, then I will hand
over the will written in your family’s name. If not, that’s all. ‘Swaha’
is the word to remember.
22
The guys sincerely performed the ceremony and I handed over
the will to them. The best part of this, there were no two wills in
the first place.
Anyhow I was immensely happy that the soul was on the right
track to reach ‘pitru loka’. Lord’s grace.

‘Rathnakumar’ was standing on the road waving at my car. I
stopped and he boarded the car.
He: Lucky!! I could meet you.
Me: Purely Lord’s grace. In the name of Lord what can I do for
you?

He: You know very well, I had educated all my kids well and I
had also distributed my property. Somehow, I have a feeling
that I have not been justified with my third son who eloped with
a girl. I had a lot of grudge against him and that resulted in my
writing the entire wealth to all and not a penny to him. Now, I
can’t do anything. Now, I want you to do me two favours.
Me: What is it?
He: I would like to be born as his kid. Can you help me out in
this.
Me: Ok. For that, I may have to seek permission from your
paternal and maternal forefathers. In case they permit, it should
be possible.
He: I know very well they will agree. My next favour is you must
be there with me in my next janma too.
Me: OK. Lord’s grace. We will give it a try. I will not leave you. I
follow you in the next till you get fed up with me. Now, where
shall I drop you?
He: I would like to go home and watch the fun of my other kids
till my body is burnt tomorrow.

23
Me: No problem. I too have to see your dead body and convey
condolences to your family members.
I left him at his place. We both went inside to see the drama.
Today morning the third son called me to inform that his wife is
pregnant and is into it for the eighth week. I profusely thank the
Lord for his compassion and love.
Welcome Rathnakumar.
This time we are with Lord’s grace name you as ‘Tapasya’.

Those days when a kid was born the horoscope will be written
only after 12 years from the birth of kid. They had a belief that
once horoscope is written the fate clock starts ticking.
If the kid dies within first four years of birth, it is due to mother
If the kid dies between 5 years and 8 years after birth, it is due to
father.
If the kid dies between 9 years and 12 years it is due to
forefathers.
So, they adopted such measures which was an allowed practice
by the elders.
So, no practice of writing horoscope till the age of 12 those sane

Saint: Soul is always powerful.
I laughed at him.
Saint: Why are you laughing?
Me: Oh, revered Master!! Your statement made me to think a bit
and hence I laughed. If soul is very powerful, and body or matter
is insignificant, why the soul is not able to eject itself from the
body at its will? It looks like the soul is trapped in the body and is
at the mercy of the body. Till the body weakens the soul has to
wait for its ejection. Not all are blessed like Bhishma to eject the
24
soul at his will. In his case too, the body got weakened due to
war wounds and no doubt he waited for the soul to get ejected
in uttarayana.
The soul belongs to the devatas and the body belongs to the
pitrus. The soul rents the body to complete the karma aspects
of the past. While the soul came to finish of the past karmas
(sanchita karmas), due to effect of mind the present karma
(prarabdha karma) starts accumulating. The prarabdha karma
of the present life unfinished adds to sanchita karma of the past.
The soul is forced to repeatedly enter the body with an aim to
finish of the karma but due to manas, buddhi and ahamkar it
looks like a vicious circle and the soul is always trapped in the
body for thousands of generations. The pitrus give the body and
help the soul to come out of these karmas by doing selfless
work. The body has a time limit upto which these karmas can be
dissipated by selfless work. Once this birth (janma) is over the
pitrus once again are kind enough to give a new body to the
soul to continue the cycle of operations. In one way the body
(matter) given by the pitrus (fore fathers) too is powerful since it
helps in giving hope to mankind to dissipate the karma through
selfless work. So, I don’t agree with your statement oh! revered
master.
The saint looked stunned.
I bowed in respect to him and left his ashram.
Lord’s will, mercy and grace.

Chettiar : Yesterday evening, I have instructed my second son

Me : Wow. Wonderful Chettiar. You always keep up your word.
In my life time you are one of the few noble persons with whom
I have been associated. It is a blessing of the Lord.
Chettiar: But you did not keep up your word.
Me : Chettiar, with my Master’s blessing and Lord’s grace, till
date I have not gone back on my word. I did tell you that we will
meet on the d-day. I did not say where or when. Today is your d-

Jiva pitru.
It is believed that after death, everyone attains the pitru loka.
Karmas are of two types. One is called sanchita karma and the
other is prarabdha karma. Prarabdha karma is the balance of
karma of the present birth up to death and sanchitha karma is
the accumulated karmas of the previous births. All prarabdha
karmas left over of the present birth are added to the sanchitha
karmas of previous births. So, the moment you are born, you
are born with the accumulated balance of sanchitha karmas.
Subsequently you accumulate the prarabdha karma of the
26
present birth due to thoughts, actions, reactions and subsequent
deeds based on all this. In the pitru loka, many pitrus co-exist.
They contemplate of their previous births. They have a Master.
He is called by the name ‘Jiva pitru’. He educates them of the
value system. He educates all the souls belonging to his clan
existing in the pitru loka of how to conduct themselves when
they are born as ‘Jiva’. He educates them as to what has to be
done to escape the chain of births and deaths. He educates
them as to how the ‘Jiva-individual consciousness’ can escape
this chain of karma to merge with ‘parama-universal
consciousness’. A lot is told on the various aspects of parama-
the universal consciousness. Further Jiva pitru has the right to
re align the birth of a pitru as Jiva in this world. Considering the
general welfare of the clan, sometimes he rearranges the order.
Generally, the birth of a pitru as a Jiva is as per the karmas
attained, but Jiva pitru has got special powers to override this
and can make a soul be born earlier or later defying the karmic
cycle. It seems Lord Brahma in every clan decides as to who
can don the role of a ‘Jiva pitru’. Generally, souls with a very
high degree of cosmic consciousness who have almost attained
the stage of merging with the ‘parama’ are requested to don this
role as ‘Jiva pitru’. Though they have a chance to merge with
the parama, they sacrifice that and don the role of ‘Jiva pitru’ in
the interest of the family/clan. A Jiva pitru normally is said to
remain the head of the clan for thousands of years before merger
in to ‘parama’. Sometimes, rarely the ‘Jiva pitru’ also enters
the body of a Jiva for some time to do necessary corrections in
the family. So, though you may not know which forefather is the
Jiva pitru for your clan, one can dedicatedly pray to that soul
for better handling of the situations in the family and the world.
Though other pitrus of the clan may not be that matured, the
Jiva pitru is a very matured soul and always blesses the all in
the family.
Om shree maha Jiva pitre namaha.
Lord’s grace.

Maatru devo bhava. Pitru devo bhava.
Mother who represents motherhood and father who represents
fatherhood are Gods. The mother to whom one is born to and
the father who fathered are the immediate persons available in
the ancestral lineage. Their parents represent the next stage
and so on. Once when one is born in this world, that one becomes
the representative of the ancestors. Hence that one is supposed
to be liable in all terms not only to one’s own parents but also to
the lineage, due to the chain reaction of births and deaths that
happens in one’s family. It is believed that their coming back to
earth is based on the duties and responsibilities one performs
not only to one’s own parents during their life time but also after
death to them and the lineage one belongs to. When these duties
and responsibilities are not performed by the said one properly,
it hinders their coming back. Under such circumstances, the
said one becomes a stumbling block in the chain. It causes untold
sufferings to the one’s ancestors who are not able to be born.
The entire lineage birth and death is the resultant effect of karma
over many births. It offers dissipation of karma through
shouldering of burdens and responsibilities. Over generations
the soul is presumed to get matured and attains a stage of merger
with the Lord. Till such time the chain continues. So, when one
doesn’t perfom the duties and responsibilities diligently, it blocks
the whole chain of karma and subsequently delays the entire
process of merger with the Lord.
-Now here what is the role of a Prayogi?
-How a Prayogi can help the one, who is struggling with mundane
aspects of life vis-a-vis performance of duties and responsibilities
to one’s own ancestors?
-How a Prayogi can help the one in effective dissipation of
karmas?
A true Dakshachaara Prayogi has his own way of assessing
one’s karma accumulated over a period of time. It differs from
case to case. Every case comes with some specific

28
responsibilities and some collective responsibilities. All these
spans to generations. Every person’s face and body depicts
many things. It all points towards the ancestors (pitrus). Every
person has a specific base ‘akshara’ to which they belong to
which is in turn connected to the pitrus. There may be many
more aksharas which may cling on due to various factors in the
family due to unique circumstances involving other families etc.,
So, the face gives fairly a base idea about the karmas one is
facing/faced. The face also depicts the other aspects of life like
specific dangers which the person may encounter due to
apamrtyu etc., Further due to non-fulfilment of the karmas or
duties or responsibilities in a family, many souls might have been
trapped in ‘pitru’ loka. It becomes the duty of a Prayogi to see
that they are reborn which will help their souls to live life, dissipate
karmas and merge with the Lord. Sometimes, someone will be
aspiring for a property which is in dispute to be sold as a priority
due to their own financial or other compelling circumstances,
but on a ready solution to it, may encounter something more
severe. So, a Prayogi since he can guess what one may go
through cannot just rush in to doing things for the one who feels
so. He has to holistically consider the whole family’s interest
instead of a single person’s desire.
A Prayogi doesn’t just look at the mundane aspects of life. His
mission is far more beyond which cannot be understood by
normal humans. A true dakshachaara Prayogi who has attained
‘siddhi’ has the capacity to look back or look forward and
concentrates on praying to the pitrus for condoning acts of
omission and commission by the concerned through various
practices which are quite strenuous.
In many a case, the Prayogi comes forward to own the karmas
of the concerned and the ancestors which enables a soul to
reach better levels and the final merger with the Lord. With a
Prayogi, the relationship has to be absolutely one with total
unquestioned faith. Any logic or reasoning may not work. His
acts are on account of his unconditional love to one and all.

29
Anything and everything. In fact a Prayogi works beyond just
caste creed or religious divisions. He also works for every being
in existence. He is more a friend of the entire nature leave alone
just human beings. Life and journey of a soul is very important
to a Prayogi. He is always concerned about the whole existence.

It was quite late in the night. I was walking deep inside the forest.
It was shukla paksha dwadashi. The sky was clear and I could
see the moon and the stars across the sky. I was doing nama
sankeerthanam ‘om namo narayanaya’ and was going towards
a hill range, where I usually rest for the night. I knew fully well
that I was being followed. So, I stopped near a big banyan tree
and pretended as though I was unaware of the follower. It’s a
very famous banyan tree in that area. It’s a huge one and has a
big cavity in the trunk which is well below. I just went in to the
hole of the banyan tree and covered my head with a towel which
i was carrying in my bag (I always carry a small bag hanging on
one side of the shoulder with one set of clothes and a towel). I
started my meditation.
Now prologue of the story....

Roughly three hundred years ago.
Vishnu and Ghanashyam were very good friends. They used to
eat together, work together, roam together and sleep together.
They always were together and never missed each other. Since
they came to a marriageable age, their parents decided to get
them married and were on the lookout for prospective brides.
Vishnu and Ghanashyam told their parents to look for a single
girl who will marry them both, since they both cannot live without
each other even a single second. The parents were aghast and
could not digest this idea. So, both the families started blaming
each other. They were busy plotting against each other’s son.
The parents of Vishnu finally succeeded in eliminating
Ghanashyam. When Vishnu came to know of Ghanshyam’s
30
death, he could not bear it and hanged himself. Untold miseries
followed these two families and some more deaths on both sides
took place. Both the families perished in due course of time.
Maharishi Rajar was very close to these two families. He warned
them and chided them when they were busy plotting against
each other. But the fate willed otherwise and both the families
perished after the death of Ghanashyam and Vishnu. Because
of this incident, the souls of both the families did not reach the
pitru loka. They were suffocating far below the pitru loka and
needed divine help to reach the pitru loka.
Now epilogue of the story.
********
During the days of Maharishi Rajar, we both did a number of
Prayogams jointly in the forest and relieved them from many of
the karmic bonds. After my Master’s samadhi, I was blessed to
continue the Prayogams for this family. So the finality was on
the shukla paksha dwadashi of thula maasa, paarthibha naama
samvatsara (2005-2006). Exactly when dwadashi thithi starts, a
Prayogam needs to be done by sitting inside a hole in the banyan
tree. While doing this Prayogam, we will cover our head with a
piece of cloth. The Jiva pitru of those families will come and
smell the cloth kept on our head. Once this happens the souls
of both the families who were involved in the heinous crime will
be pushed in to the pitru loka to enable them to be born back in
this world. The Jiva pitrus of both the families in the form of a
leopard and a monkey were following me. As I completed the
meditative part of the Prayogam the leopard and the monkey
peeped in to the hole in the banyan tree one by one and smelt
the towel on my head.
In the year 2009 Vishnu was born as a boy to a distant relative
down the generation ,on his father’s side in the city of Kochi. In
the year 2011 Ghanshyam was born as a girl to a distant relative
on his mother’s side somewhere in North America. The boy and
the girl’s marriage is slated to be in 2037.
Om namo narayanaya.

Uttarayana is for the devatas and dakshinayana is for the pitrus.
It is believed that dying in uttarayana takes you to deva lokam
and dying in dakshinayana takes you to pitru loka. So, once one
reaches devaloka the chances of their rebirth on earth is remote.
On reaching Pitru loka they have to be neccessarily born back
on earth. Bhishma was one of the ashta vasus called by name
Prabhasa. Probably he wanted to go back to his constellation of
ashta vasu and prayed for death in uttarayana.
To Prayogis like us, we prefer mostly dakshinayana if a choice
is given. We would like to come back as many as time to earth
to be with you all. We would like to face the prarbdhas and prapta
with equanimity of mind and spend our life in the service of world
and jagat. We always long for the Lord’s and Master’s grace
and nothing else. We want to be back with you all.
Lord’s grace.

Ultimately the ‘pitrus’ and ‘Jeeva pitru’ play an important role in
one’s life. Without their concurrence nothing good or fortunate
can be made to happen in a family. Further even when someone
is seriously ill, it is up to them to permit any mitigation of the
disease. So, always pray to your ‘pitrus’ and the ‘Jiva pitru’ of
your family. You need not know any mantra or sloka for it. Your
dedicated prayers to them will mitigate the seriousness of any
situation.

One day I was sitting at Madurai Narasimhan’s sweet stall. We
were busy talking. Every occasion, we will have some topic for
discussion. A small group of our own friends gather there. In
fact they used to stand for hours whereas I will be seated
comfortably. I prefer this place since I sit in the north facing
south. That’s my favourite position as a Prayogi. The next position
which we prefer is facing west, Varuna/Rishi sthanam. That
luxury, I enjoy at Nandan’s home in Madurai. When I sit South,
I get the opportunity to concentrate and pray to the forefathers
32
and when I sit west, I get an opportunity to pray to the rishis and
sages. As a Prayogi we have our own discipline and we strictly
follow it. It keeps changing according to aksharas and prayogas
too.
That day as I was praying to a clan of pitrus, there were 28 clans
who simultaneously appeared. Each one was demanding
different things and I was carefully noting down their demands.
In Prayoga sastra, we go all out to please the pitrus and offer
them whatever they want. Among the 28 clans, one particular
clan made a demand which was quite difficult to achieve but not
impossible. I just left the shop, went back to my hotel where I
was staying. I took my car and travelled to a place which I frequent
in the western ghats. By the time I reached it was around 10
pm. I sat in dhyana.
******
A person known to me was driving his car in USA. He is not
known to be a rash driver, but that day he was a bit fast. His car
met with an accident. He escaped without an accident. There is
a small twist in this tale. Had he not met with this accident at this
place, down the road in another 20 miles he was to face another
accident which might have been fatal. He has to face an accident
and there was no option in fate to avoid this. But there was an
option about his survival and his fate was alterable. His
forefathers were pleased by his past actions and wanted to
provide him an extension. He was saved.
After two days of dhyana and prayogam prayers, I returned back
to Madurai. This is a classical example from which we come to
know that pitru kataksham helps a person at the right point of
time. We may or may not realise, this life is a miracle and we
are surviving with the Lord’s grace through the blessings of our
fore fathers.

Jayavarmaraja Bhoopathy during hunting accidently killed a man
by name Krupanidhi. Before dying Krupanidhi wanted some water
to drink. Jayavarma went in search of water. Master Sri Vasudeva
Datta was a Prayogi. Jayavarmaraja Bhoopathy could not come
in time with water. So, Master Sri Vasudeva Datta created a
pond of water with his yogic powers. He poured that water in the
mouth of Kripanidhi and Kripanidhi passed away. Kripanidhi
34
became a vethala (ghost) and started haunting the king
Jayavarma. Jayavarma took refuge in his friend and Master Sri
Vasudeva Datta.
Sri Vasudeva Datta called the vethala and asked it as to what
was its need. The vethala wanted to take revenge on Jayavarma,
the king who was responsible for its death. Sri Vasudeva Datta
negotiated with vethala and promised it a safe return to the loka
of the pitrus so that it can have a chance to be reborn.
Sri Vasudeva Datta through various prayogams could establish
contact with the ancestors of Kripanidhi. He could negotiate safely
a deal with the Jiva pitru of Kripanidhi. Finally, the soul of
Kripanidhi, which was in the form of vethala was guided by the
Master Sri Vasudeva Datta to its ancestors in the pitru loka.
I went into yoga nidra. I took the soul of Rajeev Saxena and left
it under the care of his ancestors in the pitru loka.

Without the explicit permission of the Jiva pitrus nothing is
possible. Even if I as a Prayogi want to set right something in
one’s life, the Jiva pitru has to concur. Otherwise, nothing will be
possible. I will narrate you the story of Seshachala Gounder of
Pollachi.
Around 300 years back, there lived a very pious person by name
Seshachala Gounder near present day Pollachi in Tamilnadu.
He had 3 sons and 4 daughters. He was a landlord living with all
pomp and splendour. He was known for charity.
Maharishi Rajar once had an opportunity to visit his farm in
Pollachi. Rajar knowing his large heartedness went to request
him to rebuild a Bhagawathy temple which was in shambles in
Irinjalakuda. Seshachala Gounder readily agreed to reconstruct
the temple. Rajar was not very happy on seeing Seshachala
Gounder since he had a ‘Brahma Hatthi’ Dosha. Seshachala
Gounder in his previous birth was responsible for the death of
122 brahmins belonging to a place by name Palakkadu in Kerala.
Further the time had come for the ‘Brahma hatthi’ to wreak
vengeance on Seshachala Gounder.
According to legend Seshachala Gounder was to face something
very big and nasty in the next 3 months of his life. Maharishi
Rajar started meditating on the Jiva pitru of the family. The Jiva
pitru appeared before Maharishi Rajar.
Maharishi: I need your permission to protect one Seshachala
Gounder of your clan from Brahma hatthi. It is reported that he
was responsible for the death of 122 Brahmins at Palakkadu.
Jiva pitru: I cannot grant permission. He has to undergo what
should be undergone.
Now Maharishi Rajar started doing Prayogams. He planted many
good aksharas around him so that he will not be harmed.
Maharishi Rajar told Seshachala Gounder, ‘please do not go
anywhere near Palakkadu’.
Seshachala Gounder said: Why will I go to that place?

36
Maharishi Rajar: I just wanted to warn you. So, I said that.
One day a beautiful woman like an apsara appeared before
Seshachala Gounder and requested him for some help. She
asked Seshachala Gounder to accompany her. Gounder
accompanied her. She took him to Palakkadu. The Brahma hatthi
swallowed Seshachala Gounder.
Maharishi Rajar came in search of Seshachala Gounder.
Everyone was searching for him and no one knew his where
abouts. The beauty in Brahma hatthi dosha is once Brahma hatthi
swallows Seshachala Gounder, the form of Brahma hatthi would
be that of Seshachala Gounder. Now, Brahma hatthi in the form
of Seshachala Gounder will wreak vengeance on his own family
on behalf of the 122 Brahmins who were killed. The reason for
this is the family members of Seshachala Gounder were also
hand in glove in the previous janma to kill 122 Brahmins. Now
Brahma hatthi in the form of Seshachala Gounder returned to
Pollachi. The female who was like an apsara also returned with
him to Pollachi. Everyone in his home town were astonished to
see him with an unknown female. Slowly certain mysterious
things started happening. Gounder’s wife was poisoned to death.
His eldest son died in an accident in his own farm. His second
son was stabbed to death by the horns of a raging bull in the
town. His third son became mentally retarded. His eldest
daughter committed suicide by hanging. The next one went
missing and could not be traced. The third daughter was bit by a
black cobra in the farm and died. The fourth daughter too
committed suicide by jumping in to the well in the farm. Finally,
Seshachala Gounder too committed suicide and the Brahma
hatthi left him and went and sat in the top corner of the hall in his
house.
The beautiful lady who accompanied him went back and Virajitha
inside her stepped out, arrested all these souls of Seshachala
Gounder family and took them to a location by name ‘Mithija’.
After many years of prayogam during the periods of Maharishi
Rajar, Yogeshwar Ramanachar and myself, we have successfully
37
redeemed all the souls of Seshachala Gounder family including
Seshachala Gounder. We have also redeemed the souls of 122
Brahmins and put them in to main stream of existence. Had
Jiva pitru of Seshachala Gounder agreed that day to Maharishi
Rajar, a lot of unpleasantries could have been avoided. Ofcourse
we do not know the reasons as to why the Jiva pitru of
Seshachala Gounder not agree to protect Gounder in the first
place when requested by Maharishi Rajar? We cannot analyse
or judge the actions of Jiva pitrus. They have their own reasons
to accept or reject the request of a Prayogi. Once a Jiva pitru
rejects the request of a Prayogi, it becomes an arduous task for
the Prayogi to bring back the souls and put them in the main
stream of life.

He and his brother met me on the road. He was talking to me.
Suddenly his brother started shouting at me. After that they left.
He met me after a few days.
He : Why did my brother shout at you?
I smiled and said. I had borrowed some money from him and I

He : No. I don’t believe this. He has no money to loan it. Come

He : When did this happen?
Me : May be a month back.

He : This too is untrue. She has gone to her mother’s place for

200 years back - A story from Hyderabad.

40
Babu Rao and Soorya Naidu were good friends. Both deeply
loved each other and respected each other’s wish. They were
very honest and pious. Babu Rao was working for the Nizams
and Soorya Naidu was an agriculturist.
Babu Rao married Surekha, a Kuchipudi dancer and Soorya
Naidu married Janaki, a good singer. Babu Rao had 3 sons and
Soorya Naidu had one daughter.
Life was moving smooth for them. The families often met for a
lunch or dinner.
One day Soorya Naidu went to his fields and did not return back.
Janaki went in search of Soorya Naidu. When Janaki went to
the field, she was astonished to find Soorya Naidu sitting near
the well in the field with closed eyes. He looked like as though
under a spell and there were a number of snakes around him.
Janaki sought Babu Rao’s help. Babu Rao and Janaki along
with a few men reached the spot. Soorya Naidu was missing.
They did not know what to do and were perplexed. At that time a
saint came from nowhere.
Saint: I know very well as to what you people are searching for.
Soorya Naidu is safe but is under a spell. A Vaamachari by name
Gajanand has him under his control. So, you both have to come
with me. We have to travel many days to reach a holy spot and
we will pray for Soorya Naidu’s return.
Lots of people joined along with Janaki and Babu Rao and left
along with the saint. They reached the holy place after several
days of travel. The saint conducted an Yagna for the return of
Soorya Naidu.
++++
Soorya Naidu woke up in a cave. He was surrounded by lots of
men and women. The vaamachari was preparing Soorya Naidu
for a human sacrifice. Soorya Naidu spoke to Gajanand.
Soorya Naidu: Who are you? Why did you bring me here? What
harm I have done to you?
41
Gajanand laughed and said: Soorya, I have been watching you
for some time. You are a honest and pious person. I needed
such a person to be offered to my demi Gods to appease them.
Now I will be sacrificing you in this cave.
Gajanand started uttering the mantras and had built a homa
kundam to offer various items in the fire. Finally, Soorya Naidu
will be offered.
+++++
The saint had started the yagna and was offering prayers to
Lord Adisesha in the form of Lord Ugra Pitru Sarpa Narayana.
++++
Gajanand started his homam. Suddenly thousands of big snakes
appeared from nowhere. They were hissing at Gajanand and
his team. One king cobra appeared on the scene and spoke to
Gajanand.
King cobra : Gajanand, I know very well of your nefarious
activities. I can in no time kill you, but for the compassionate
saint who is also praying that you should be not harmed. So,
immediately release Soorya Naidu from the spell and promise
that you or your followers will not indulge in such sinful practices.
You all have already killed many people for which a lot of
prayaschitthams need to be done.
Gajanand was terrified and gave a promise that he will not indulge
in such activities in future. He released Soorya Naidu from the
magic spell.
++++
Many sarpas appeared before the saint. A king cobra appeared
before the saint and said, ‘your prayers have been answered.
Gajanand has released Soorya Naidu from his spell. You may
all return back to your place. By the time you reach Soorya Naidu
will be there.
The Saint prostrated the king cobra who was swayam Lord Ugra
Pitru Sarpa Narayana and left with all back to Hyderabad.
42
Soorya Naidu also reached Hyderabad by the time Babu Rao
and Janaki reached. The saint quietly went his way. They were
wondering as to who the saint was.
+++
The subtle truth in this story.
The followers and families of Babu Rao and Soorya Naidu are
today with us. The progenies of men and women are also with
us. Interestingly the progenies of Gajanand and his followers
progenies are with us.
The cave where Gajanand had kept Soorya Naidu for sacrifice
is Lenyadri in Maharashtra.
The place where the saint had taken Babu Rao, Janaki and
their followers is Unikili.
That’s why as a prayaschittham for all involved in this drama we
all performed a Maha Ganapathy Yagnam in Lenyadri and Sarpa
Yagnam at Unikili in the year 1999.
The saint is none other than Maharishi Rajar.
********
I know a case of a zamindar who had around 100 acres of land.
He had a manager whom I found overtly obedient. I warned the
zamindar about this attitude of the manager. But zamindar never
heeded to my words. He continued to employ and encourage
the manager.
One day when I had gone to the village the manager obstructed
me to meet the zamindar. Further attempts to meet him was
futile due to the manager. I was a bit concerned since the
zamindar was a widower and had no kids. He has a brother and
sister who are settled in USA with their kids. When I managed
to contact them, it looked as though they were uninterested.
After a few years when I went to the village, the manager was
happily lying on the easy chair. He said the zamindar left the
village on his own accord and is not to be found.

43
I searched for him everywhere and I could not find him. During
one of my trips to kashi, I found him with a Vaamachaari.
Zamindar looked dazed and was not able to recognise me. I
told the Vaamachaari to relieve him from the spell, so that he
can be a normal person again. The Vaamachaari demanded
some money and I managed to give him. He took the money
and left the zamindar without bringing him out of the spell. I
continued my stay at Kashi, did a number of prayogams to bring
him out of the spell. Every day I used to take him to Ganges and
bathe him. In the initial few days, he did not even know how to
bathe or even dress. I used to do everything and after a week
he came back to senses. I took him back to the village. He
terminated the services of his manager. After this incident, he
sold all his properties and went to Kashi. He donated the money
to a mutt where he lived. Whenever I used to visit Kashi, I used
to meet him. He will laugh and say ‘athi vinayam dur lakshanam’.
At the same time, he will say unless the manager had duped
me with the help of Vaamachaari, I would not have known a
beautiful paradise on earth by name ‘Kashi’. So, they too were
useful. I said, ‘yes’ they were useful’. He attained samadhi a few
years back and I was there on that day. The mutt people wanted
to throw his body in Ganges. So, they took him and threw him. I
recovered the body and got it cremated. I did not want his body
to be recovered by ‘Thumbala’ who was an aghori waiting on
the banks eagerly to take his body. ‘Thumbala’ wanted zamindar’s
body to be used, so that he can appease some demi Gods to
gain more strength. Zamindar belonged to a great constellation
called ‘mychara’. It’s a wonderful cluster of pitrus forming pitru
loka. I safely managed to send his soul to ‘mychara’. ‘Thumbala’
an expert aghori became a staunch enemy after this incident. I
earned one more enemy in the process. Everything is after all
Bhagawan’s grace and mercy. I enjoy such clashes & close
encounters with Vaamachaaris and aghoris too. It’s a part of
Prayogi’s life.

44
I live for a cause and would love to die for the same cause and
it’s the closest to my heart. The art of ‘Prayoga’.

Haresh Pandya: ‘Guruji, what does ‘Madhu’ mean?’
Guruji : Madhu....madhu.....madhu.
Madhu means honey.
- Offering honey to the pitrus.
- Pitrus themselves are as sweet as honey.
- With the Pitrus blessings, we enjoyed the past as sweet as
honey, we enjoy the present as sweet as honey, we will enjoy
the future as sweet as honey.
- When honey offered to pitrus, they are happy and bless us to
live a long healthy life in the present.
- Honey is collected by the bees. Bees have worker bees and
the drones. There also exist the queen bee. They all form a
family. The queen bee is regarded in the example, as the Jeeva
pitru (the top most deciding authority in a clan or family). Pitrus
live like the bees as a family. We belong to such a family. So
symbolically honey is offered.
- When someone tries to disrupt the bee hive, all the bees jointly
attack them. So, likewise, when you are in trouble, the pitrus will
come to your rescue. So, their blessings is a must.
Like this there are many thousands of meanings for
Madhu...Madhu... Madhu.

There are various types of beings in this world, apart from
humans. We have the animals, the trees, the plants, the insects
etc., all have certain level of maturity and certain levels of
consciousness. All these have their own clan and families. There
are lots of divisions. Every soul is conscious to a certain extent.
Every clan has its segment in pitru loka with a Jiva pitru/ Jiva
pitrus as its head.
I sometimes laugh when people come and tell me that the highest
evolved being is human. Certainly not. If human is highest
evolved being he should be able to understand and communicate
across all the beings of this world. For example when a crow
makes a sound, it’s a mixture of coos, caws, clicks, rattles. If
human is an evolved being , he must be able to decipher what it
is communicating. In reality no one understands. In fact, we
don’t even hear the beauty of its sounds. So, it’s just human
hypocrisy that we call ourselves a super being.
When one reaches the stage of a Jiva pitru in that being, it has
an option to come back and born in its family or change over to
other beings or even merge with God. It is wrong to say that
humans alone can reach God. Any being can reach God or get
transformed in to another being once they become conscious in
their level of understanding.

From time immemorial, our forefathers would have worshipped
a particular deity as ‘kula devata’. Though Lord is only one, they
would have given importance to one deity and would have
worshipped him. Normally those days families used to visit the
‘kula devata’ at least once a year and offer respects. They would
have adored Him in different ways through different practices.
Sometimes this practice gets stopped midway in some families
due some reasons best known only to those families. Down the
lane, the youngsters do not get to know which is the family deity.
If you are the follower of a sadhguru, he will guide you properly.
In case you don’t have one, you can go to Tirumala or Ahobilam

46
or any of the Dwadasha lingas or any of the 51 shakthi peetas
regularly every year. You can participate in any seva for the Lord
and convey it to the younger ones to enable them to follow. Your
mother, your father, your forefathers, your kula devata is the
most important thing. If you don’t take care of them and even if
you do kumbhabishegam or yagnams or prayers it will be of no
use.
****
All the good things you do in this birth selflessly goes in to your
account. There is no doubt about it. But sastras say that, that
alone is not enough. One has to go through the cycle of karmas.
Why this situation? It is simple. We always feel we are the doers.
You feel delighted when someone compliments you and you
feel sad when someone admonishes you. This happens because
you think you are the doer.
The Prayoga veda says, ‘if you attribute all your actions to God
in your life, be it good or bad, right or wrong, correct or incorrect
and not get excited or depressed, always in a state of awareness
and consciousness, on death whether anyone performs karma
or not, whether any descendent or karta does it sincerely or not,
on death, one attains the position of a Jeeva pitru in the family
clan or merges with God’.
That’s why we say, ‘Live the present. Be unconditional in love to
everyone. Live conscious and without expectations. Do selfless
service. Surrender to the will of God. Have unconditional love
and faith in Him. He is the ultimate saviour and Lord is the doer’.
My idea (God’ s idea I voice for I’m not the doer) is you all should
either merge with God or become a Jeeva pitru of your clan.
That doesn’t mean that, I am going to leave you, if you are
treading elsewhere. I have followed you in the past and I will
follow you in future. You cannot escape me, which is the design
of God. Are people listening?

A few years back, one day a person known to me came to me.
He : Guruji, which is our family deity? I had been to many
astrologers and they have been saying different versions. I am
totally confused. Please guide me’.
Me : Go to Tirumala and worship Lord Balajee every year at
least once’.
He : I have to stand in queue, for hours together to have a
glimpse of him. I can’t do that since I am very busy with my
business. Suggest something easier.
I laughed and said, ‘better consult another astrologer. I have no
other option in your case’.
He left.
He was on a business trip somewhere south in his car. His car
stopped midway in a forest like area, at around 10 pm. There
was no one on the road. So, he locked the car and walked some
distance. He found a road side temple. There was no light and
no one around. He was tired and slept. In the morning a priest
came and woke him up.
Priest : Who are you? Why are you sleeping here?
He said, ‘My car has broken down just a furlong away at night.
Since I was just searching for a place to stay through the night,
I found this temple’.
The priest handed him over a towel and said, ‘on the back side
there is a rest room and bath room. Take bath and come back.
I will do the abhishegam for the Lord, cook food, offer him and
then call you’.
He completed all that and waited for an hour. The screen opened.
It was Lord Balajee.
He was in tears. He came back to the car and tried starting the
car and it started. He was amazed. He came back and told me
the story that happened. I laughed and told him, ‘in your next
trip too, go to that temple’.

48
In the next trip during his visit south, when he went to that place,
there was no temple. He called me on my mobile and told me
that the temple is missing. I laughed roaringly.
He : Why are you laughing Guruji?
Me : Don’t expect the lord to keep waiting for you at that place
every time. He is not your servant. He has better things to do. At
least now make it a practice to go to Tirumala every year.
He was zapped.
Now every year he religiously visits Tirumala on January 1st
and offers his prayers.
Lord’s grace. Our prayers.
Om Namo Venkatesaya.
Lord’s grace. Our prayers.

If your dad or mom gives you some property or money, don’t
deny it. Take it. It will earn pitru kataksham. It is their blessings
to you. I know a few cases where the parents came forward to
help the son or daughter. The kids said that they don’t need the
money/ property. They said that you have given us education
and life. That’s more than enough. The argument you put forward
is wrong. You can never repay back the services of parents. You
should not think that it will burden them. In case they come
forward to give you, you should take it and pass it on to future
generations or put it to proper use.
****
Never deny any gift given by parents. If you deny, pitrus /
forefathers may not be happy with your decision.
****
I know in some cases where there were kids and the father had
his own matrix and divided the property in a certain proportion.
One of the sons and one of the daughters felt that they didn’t

The parents right to divide the property in a particular proportion
cannot be questioned. If questioned, it is considered as a

Matru devo bhava.
Pitru devo bhava.
 Taitreya Upanishad.
Vedas did not say matha devo bhava or pitha devo bhava. They
used the word matru and pitru. Mother and father become the
representatives of the clan to which we belong. The respect is
offered to them goes to the forefathers. The forefathers act
through them. So, their words actions and deeds are that of
your forefathers. They are internally directed and guided by their
forefathers. Hence such an emphasis to their thoughts, actions
and deeds.
****
Maatru devo bhava
Pitru devo bhava.
Through mother the mother’s ancestors and through the father
the father’s ancestors is the meaning of maatru and pitru. ‘Devo
bhava’ means such ancestors are God. Your ancestors are your
God or your ancestors have become God or God is in the form
of your ancestors. The origin of such ancestors is God. There
are many meanings for ‘devo bhava’. In short the parents are
living Gods in flesh and blood. So, you can hang the photographs
of your ancestors in your pooja room as a mark of love and
respect. Though there is nothing specific in respect of the
direction in which the ancestors photos are to be hanged. If
feasible you may follow this. The legend says that the ancestors
are in the South facing North. So if there is a wall available in

50
the southern direction in the pooja room, the photos can be
hanged facing North.

He was a nice guy known to me well from Madurai. Just 40+ in
age. He passed away peacefully due to heart attack. He does
not have kids or brothers. Finally mother performed his funeral.
The Brahmin pundit who regularly attends to the family, refused
to perform the ceremony on the grounds that his mother has no
right to perform the funeral. The mother was bold enough. She
refused to be cowed down and went ahead with the funeral.
Yesterday night, I started my prayers and prayogams for the
departed soul. It is very sad to see that the brahmin, who is
considered as an epitome of wisdom and compassion in the
instant case refused to perform the funeral on some pretext of
preconceived notions. If a brahmin sees a dead body on the
streets uncared, he has to take the responsibility of performing
the funeral rites. Now a days some of the brahmin pundits seem
to have forgotten their fore most duty and are busy cashing in
on the ignorance of others by giving false excuses and
explanations. Very sad indeed.

A clarification.
Those who are only blessed with daughters and not sons, what
they can do?
The son in law or the daughter herself or anyone else can
continue to do the shrrardha karma, but should approach a
competent guru or an avadhootha or a Prayogi and should
unconditionally surrender (saranagathi) and should represent
their case. The competent guru or avadhootha or Prayogi will
suggest suitable remedial measures for the person so
surrendered.
In our case, people who come to me can attend the prayoga
yagnams and with Lord’s grace this aspect can be taken care.

51
Others can approach their competent Masters and they will
suggest a remedy.
In all this unconditional faith and surrender is the key. The
competent Master knows the way. No questions should be asked,
just surrender unconditionally to the competent Master.
A couple of years back, a girl who was the only child of her
father wanted to perform the funeral rites of her demised father.
She approached me with the request. I allowed her to go ahead
with wish and she performed her dad’s funeral rites. We took up
her case and could successfully lodge his soul in pitru loka.
Similarly we have granted permission to many girls, sons-in-
law, daughters-in-law and outsiders to perform the samskaras
and shrrardhas. We took up all cases and they have reached
the pitru loka. Even where we have not known people we have
successfully managed to place them in pitru loka.
This is purely Lord’s grace and we do it under the authority given
by our Masters through dakshachara prayoga maha vidya. A
Prayogi’s one of the main duty is to place a soul in the pitru loka
through prayogams. A Prayogi’s life is spent on prayers and
prayogams through fire worship.
So, there is absolutely no need to worry about anything. Lord is
the saviour and takes care of all of us in a befitting way.
Lord’s grace. Our prayers

introduced your forefathers through you. Pitrus/manes/

Don’t think that your problems will be solved by being my disciple.

It’s just that I am very much there with you while you handle

you to come out of your problems. So, your faith and dedication

He was supposed to have been in love with many girls. Usually
the girls who were supposed to have loved him got good
proposals for marriage. So, they got married and moved on. In
fact at one stage, the talk of town was, the girls who loved him
got well settled in life with mostly abroad bridegrooms. After much
difficulty, a girl stuck to him. She got married to him. After 3
years, she divorced him and married someone from USA and
moved on.
Five years back I met him. He said, ‘Guruji, I would like to get
married’. I said, ‘this time it’s final & permanent. A foreigner will
marry you’. He got married four years back to a foreigner. Today
morning, he called me and said he has been blessed with a
daughter and asked me to name her. I said, ‘let us call her
Amruta’.
He was happy. I thanked his 7th generation pitru on his father’s
side who was reborn. Her original name was ‘Amruta Varshini’.

Gunturu Venkata Sai Rambabu: Bhagawan, why can’t we accept

The honey bees never go to a flower which doesn’t have honey.
Where honey is, the bee is. My disciples are my only family. To

toy with his parents? My disciples are my kids. They have some
small desires. Whatever is possible, I try to fulfil it. It is possible
for me to accommodate with Lord’s grace as of today. I don’t
know whether I can be lenient in future. But that is future. Why
be bothered about it now? Today with His mercy, we can do it.
My kids are my strength. My kids are my weakness too. I am
more a mother, though I am a male. Thanks for your concern.
But don’t worry. It’s not a one man show. It’s a team work. You

Jhansi Sundari: Guruji, at the time of kamala paduka, I don’t

take pitru paduka. I believe only the one who has all the four
padukas are eligible for guru pada deeksha. Hope my
understanding is correct at least this time and no to miss any
opportunity.
Jhansi : I say so many things in the beginning and then I myself
start diluting it. I wanted many to get benefitted and laid certain
rules. Those rules which I laid, I keep violating because I am not
able to deny my kids. To the maximum extent, I want to be flexible

Mounika Madgula: Hi Guruji. During one’s lifetime, not all people
might have maintained good relationships. When elders leave
their body, do they carry ill will against the youngsters or will
they be in a pure state? After their passing away, if the next
generation performs karmas and think about them will it help?
Guruji : Mouny, this is a rather very delicate question to be
answered. Still let me attempt to answer. Now let us split the
question into two parts.
 During one’s life time, not all people might have
maintained good relationships. When elders leave their
body do they carry ill will against youngsters or will they
be in a pure state? It all depends on the maturity of the
soul that departs. Suppose, the soul had faced a lot of
backlash when it was alive and it is an immature soul, it
will carry ill will against the youngsters. It all depends on
it’s maturity. Not just an elder. Suppose an youngster
was ill-treated, take the classical Indian scene where a
mother-in-law tortures a daughter-in-law and daughter-
in-law dies with a grouse, she will certainly not reach pitru
loka. Dying with grouse in equally inauspicious or can be
treated on par with apamrtyu. The soul will not reach pitru
loka and will wreak vengeance with all those in the family
56
more so those who have or had good relationship with
mother-in-law including mother-in-law. So, dying with
grouse, the chances are one may not reach pitru loka
itself and it is a bad news to the family in future. Per
chance if the soul was a balanced one and did not die
with grouse, the chances are it may reach pitru loka.
Now let us go in to second part of the question.
 After their passing away, if the next generation performs
karmas and think about them will it help? Doing pitru
karma is always good. It not only helps the soul departed,
but also the souls in pitru loka. In case the person
departed with grouse and did not reach pitru loka, but
shrardham is being done for him, it may not reach him,
but will reach pitru loka. All other pitrus par take what is
offered and bless those performing it. This will in fact
mitigate the degree of revenge of the soul which departed
with grouse.
So, everything depends on maturity of the souls that depart.
That is why we should always follow the practice of forgetting
and forgiving so that we don’t die with regrets or grouse to reach
pitruloka in the first place. If we die with grouse, it is an additional
burden to the youngsters and future generations of the family in
addition to our not reaching pitru loka.
A Prayogi is always useful in all such situations.

Umaabadri: Guruji, 2 more doubts please.
1.The pitrus and Jivapitrus are from the parents family or from
the in-laws family or both?
2. In case if my relationship with my cousin (first or second) is
not OK and when they die, will it affect my family? Have lots of
doubts coming into my mind Guruji after reading this post and
please Guruji, you are the only person who can clear our doubts.
So once again pardon me. Thanks and regards.

57
Guruji: Uma, every gotras will have a set of Jiva pitrus. They
need not be for a particular family. Only souls which have the
highest maturity and have a chance to merge with the ultimate
come forward to do the role of a Jiva pitru. Please read my post
thoroughly before questioning. A person who dies with regrets
or wrath may not be in a position to reach pitru loka itself and
hence cannot be called as a pitru. Just because you are born in
a family doesn’t grant protection by a Jiva pitru unless one had
regards and reverence to forefathers. Not just family, any person
even a rank outsider dying with wrath against you will affect you
after his/her death. To ensure protection by pitrus one should
have shown reverence and respect to the pitrus. Blanket
protection by pitrus/Jiva pitru despite not showing reverence to
forefathers is not offered.

Shravan S: Guruji is there any way to know our real gothra?
Usually, gothra will be the rishi name but for some of us the
gothra is a village name.
Kshama Guruji for my ignorance.
GuruJi: Shravan, the answer to this question is to approach a
sadhguru and surrender unconditionally to him. The guru takes
the responsibility of getting to know the gotra. In case if it cannot
be deciphered, he may opt to request a gotra rishi to adopt you
and your family. Accordingly, a gotra may be decided.
**********
Sridhar Pidatala : Sairam Guruji. It is generally accepted that
the soul or atma is pure and complete. Then, how can a soul be
mature or immature or young or old?
Sometimes during the discharge of official duties, people are
affected for their crimes. How can one insulate oneself from
such situations and possible consequences? Pranams
Guruji : Sridhar, the atma is always pure. The catch here is it is
always pure as long as it doesn’t enter a sheath of body as a

58
being may be animate or inanimate. The atma undergoes a sort
of illusion and becomes a captive to the mind. The highest
attribute of an atma gets polluted to the level of a lowest attribute
called mind. Mind is illusory. Mind is analytical. It is in to good
and bad, right and wrong, perceptions, evaluations, comparisons,
success, failure, young, old. All this leads the atma to a different
level of existence due to illusion. Of course it is the karma that
makes the atma to get trapped into such situations involving
body and mind.
——-
Mantra shakthi can help one to insulate from such situations.
Repetition of mantras taken as upadesha from an eligible
Sadhguru should fairly help one to insulate well from such
situations.
******
Bharadhwaaj Ramaswamy: Swami seeking your mercy. Are
pitrus are not evolved. Do they have difference of opinions. Triple
prostrations at your lotus feet Swami.
Guruji : The evolution of the pitrus happens in consonance with
the quality of life lived and delivered. Sometimes, there is
negative progress or no progress from the previous level. After
every birth, one leads life and learns here on earth. After death,
one goes to pitru loka for futher learning and redemption. Despite
all these learnings, in practicality there is always a shortfall in
implementation. The happiness and sufferings one undergoes
in one life should reflect on the maturity levels in the next life.
But it may or may not be. At best one can say the ‘Jeeva pitru’ in
a family is the most evolved soul.
****
Seshagiri Gollapudi: Can you please tell the difference of Pitrus
and pitru devatas.
Every family has a clan and the forefathers of the clan are called
pitrus. They remain in the pitru loka and are reborn in the family.

59
The process of births and deaths keeps going on, till the merger
with the Lord.
Guruji : Every family / clan will have a Jeeva pitru or a set of
Jiva pitrus who act as the Masters in pitru loka to teach the
pitrus of better evolvement during their next birth. The entire
pitru clan comes under the pitru devatas. They are ashta vasus
(8), ekadasha rudras (11) and dwadasha aadityas (12). 8+11+12
is 31 for each one crore (koti) devatas. So, it is 31 koti pitru
devatas. One more is prajapathi and one other is Brahma. Two
more crores of other devatas. So, totally 33 crores (koti) devatas
in Hindu philosophy. The circle of 33 kundams in the Maha
yagnams represent 33 koti devatas (31 koti pitru devatas and 2
koti other devatas). Under the normal circumstances, the pitrus
are suppose to get evolved and when the father attains the vasu
roopam, the grandfather occupies the rudra roopam and the
great grandfather attains the aditya roopam. Probably during
the vedic days people were more disciplined, honest and never
transgressed their limits, stuck to their duties and responsibilities.
Hence evolution automatically took place from one roopam to
another.
The father dies and reaches the vasu roopam and comes back
leads a life and goes back to rudra roopam, comes back and
goes to aditya roopam and then to the stage of the devatas and
merger with the Lord. But today though we do tharpanam, we
are not sure whether they have reached the stage which they
are supposed to reach. May be there is more stagnation of pitrus
at vasu roopam which I visualise many times. Today under
changed circumstances in kali yuga, there is a lot of stagnation
in vasu roopam. Further the tharpanam is given, so that when
they are born in the next birth, they are not deprived of food and
general welfare.
***
Sridhar Pidatala : Sairam Guruji. Can you please reveal a little
more about clan and gotra? Are there many clans in a particular
gotra? Is there a Jeeva pitru for every clan or gotra? How does
60
a particular soul ascend to the level of Jeeva pitru and how long
will it remain in that role before it merges with the Lord? Pranams
Guruji : Sridhar, in a gotra, there may be thousands of clans.
Under these thousands of clans are millions and millions of
families. Every such family has a ‘Jeeva pitru’. A Jeeva pitru is a
highly conscious soul which can attain any level it wants, but
has come forward to remain in the family and help the Jivas to
attain better levels of consciousness. A Jiva pitru at will can
become any cosmic being or can raise to the level of a cosmic
energy point or even a rishi or even merge with God. But the
Jeeva pitrus remain to protect, guard and guide the family to
which they belong to and voluntarily stay back in the interest of
the family. There is no prescribed time limit for their merger with
the Lord. Generally, they wait for an equally evolved soul to whom
they hand over charge within the family and leave for the abode
of their choice.
***
Soumya Sivakumar : Please, would you be able to guide us
about what to do if a couple did not have sons and had only
daughters (or had no children at all). How would pitru karma get
done?
Guruji: This is a good question. There are different views and
opinions about this. Let me add to the existing confusion. Thanks
to puranas(Lol). The duties of a male and female are described
in Prayoga veda as ‘Prayoga manu sastra’. Since we hail from
the world of prayoga, I go by this explanation. When the son
does the karma, the kaarmic effect of the parents, the son
shoulders of the departed soul and indeed he is eligible for
properties too, since he faces the kaarmic effect of the parents.
When a couple do not have sons and only daughters or no issue
at all, the issue becomes a little bit tricky. Whether they have
daughters or no kids, the process is the same. Someone else
will do the karma, may be son-in-law or a relative or an outsider.
A ) The person performing the karma will get the property, but

61
will not have any kaarmic effect of the souls for whom karma is
being done, since he is not the progeny. But such a person will
deemed to have unjustly enriched himself by acquiring a property
and has also performed a duty which he is not supposed to do.
For doing a duty which doesn’t belong to him, he becomes liable
endlessly to the gotra pitrus from whom he has taken the property
and done karma for a soul for which he is not liable to do. In
short, he has no eligibility to perform the karma he should not
have done. But enjoys the property. He is always indebted to
the gotra pitrus from whom he inherited the property. Even if he
doesn’t take the property, it’s a karma which doesn’t belong to
him and he should not have done.
B) So, fearing clause ‘a’ mentioned above, if no one comes
forward to do the karma for such humans (though initially
someone would have burnt the body and did the preliminary
rituals), what happens to these souls? In both clause a and b,
they may not be able to cross the Vaitarani river and hence
cannot be reborn. They may vegetate as ghosts and other
negative cosmic beings. There is one exception to the above
rules. If the humans are involved heart and soul to a ‘Prayogi’,
then he becomes the ‘Margabandhu’ and takes them safely
across the Vaitarani river to reach the southern gates of Yama
loka. The ‘Prayogi’ argues the merits of the case and barters his
good karma and takes the kaarmic liability of the souls, to allow
the souls to reach pitru loka without any hurdles. Once they
reach pitru loka, they are under the guidance of the Jeeva pitru
and they are reborn as per the chances available,
somewhereelse in the same family or will be bartered with other
gotras. Further even for the karta who did the karma and became
liable to the gotra pitrus, only a ‘Prayogi’ can give a relief by
negotiating with the pitrus. Even for those souls which died an
unnatural death or death beyond explainable circumstances, who
are in the form of ghosts, a ‘Prayogi’ alone can barter and see
them off to their pitru loka. A ‘Prayogi’ alone can do all these
works and see that the souls reach the clan.

62
Lord’s grace. Our prayers.
***
Sahana Rabindranath: Guruji, what happens if the parents
themselves instruct that no karma is to be performed and their
last rites should not be done according to rituals. What is the
appropriate thing to do in such cases.
Guruji: Sahana, wonderful question. Once death of a person
happens, it means that the soul is not in a position to continue
any longer in the body. The soul is forced to leave. The soul
itself rejected the body and hence will deem to have no right. To
instruct as to what has to be done to the body after the soul
leaves the body, is not fair. The person himself left the body and
the karta has a right over it as the descendent. Further the person
who is alive cannot interfere with the rights of the karta. It is not
a property to be willed the way they want. Body is not a property
after one’s death. It is more the right of the karta which comes
to play.
So right away reject the request. Since they are elderly people
when they are alive talk obligingly but after death don’t oblige.
Just do the karma the way that has to be done with all dedication
to the departed soul. That will only help the departed soul to
reach pitru loka. The departed soul will realise this and bless the
karta for his foresight.
Lord’s grace. Our prayers.

Sai Vijay Gavaravarapu: Pranams Guruji. It is just today morning,
I was wondering in my thoughts if daanam and runam are related.
I had a vague thought if these two are interrelated and a person
has the thought of doing daanam and helping the needy by Lord,
only because of any past runam to the person receiving it. Please
enlighten us if there is any relation. Please excuse and pardon

Guruji: Sai, yes. Daanam and runam are inter-related. Now I
will tell you a story.

Kasiappa Chetty was a very rich person. Maharishi Rajar used
to frequent his house in Madurai around 300 years back. One
day Maharishi Rajar told Kasiappa Chetty to donate some money
and clothes to person by name Sivaswamy. Sivaswamy was a
Poojari in a local temple at Madurai. When Kasiappa Chetty
went to the temple, Sivaswamy had gone out and his assistant
Mahendran was in the temple.
Kasiappa Chetty: Where is Sivaswamy?
Mahendran : He has gone out on work.
Kasiappa Chetty : I have to give some money as ‘daanam’ to
Sivaswamy. Will you give it to him if I hand over it to you?
Mahendran : It is not proper on your part to hand over the
‘daanam’ to me. If you wait for some time, Sivaswamy will come
and you can hand it over to him’.
Kasiappa Chetty said, ‘I have some urgent work. Can you please
hand it over to him?’
Mahendran : Sivaswamy’s house is in the neighbouring lane.
You may go there and find out whether any one at their house
will accept it on behalf of Kasiappa Chetty? Still I feel it is not
proper.
Kasiappa Chetty finally went to Sivaswamy’s house and handed
over the amount to his wife Neelambal. Neelambal took the
amount and adjusted it towards a loan taken by her brother from
a pawn broker in her parental village. She did not inform
Sivaswamy.
This is the story.

Today I am busy adjusting the accounts of Kasiappa Chetty,
Sivaswamy, Neelambal, her brother and the pawn broker.
The younger generations of the above families are with me today
and I have to defend the cause and effect of the runams, the
chain being started by Kasiappa Chetty. In this process of

64
adjustment of runam, 146 souls are involved, and now around 8
families of Jeeva pitrus are being requested to permit to do
certain things. Consequently, some demands from their side is
being met. This process of adjustments of the runams were
started in the year 1979 by Maharishi Rajar and I am continuing
till date. Still, the puzzle is expected to take some more time.
When a Prayogi says something, he knows the reason and it
should be followed with implicit faith.
****
If sons performing last rights a blessing, then no wonder our
society is so much against girl children and parents of girl
children. Daughters are such a blessing and being a daughter is
a blessing too. Why doesn’t our vedas recognize that in this
context Guruji?
Guruji: Your understanding is wrong. The vedas hold a girl or
woman in a very high esteem. Firstly the roles, duties and
responsibilities of a man and woman have been clearly defined.
A man’s duties and a woman’s duties differ due to biological
conditions and of course due to circumstances. A man cannot
beget a child. If a man needs a progeny, he needs the woman.
So, she is responsible for bringing the pitrus from pitru loka. In
vedas it is said ‘maatha poorva roopam’. What does this mean?
It means by virtue of her being the mother, automatically she
belongs to the origin of the oldest form (poorva roopam). Oldest
form means she is the embodiment of a Jeeva pitru herself.
Whereas when it comes to a male, they say ‘pithotthara roopam’.
It means a male is also a pitru. In fact the male is kept on a
lower pedestal. Biological conditions seem to have contributed
more considered while fixing the duties and responsibilities.
Further a female is herself considered as fire, an embodiment
of purity. She needs no further purification. That’s why a poorna
sanyasi or a widower cannot perform agni karma for himself or
his family, since the female is not available. While doing
shrraardha karma, the female of the house has to bring the agni

65
for the karma and without her it is impossible to do the karma by
the male. Why that much, when they light the fire in the earthen
pot, which is used to burn the body, only ‘durga sooktham’ is
recited. When the male is ineligible to do, the Bruhaspathy or
the Guru under request can do. If she is a widow she has to give
authority in the form of darbha grass to the Bruhaspathy without
which even the Guru cannot do unless he is a ‘Prayogi’. Whether
at home or office, one cannot do the duty of another. Only the
job assigned to you can be done. There will be someone like
Managing Director who can do any work. The Prayogi is like the
Managing Director, who knows the agni lakshana and the
authority of the purest form of agni called ‘Prayogagni’. There
are thousands of things that are available in vedas which speak
very high of a female. In fact male is not praised or adored in
comparison to the female. One birth may not be enough to
highlight the nobility of a woman. So, set aside your emotions
and try to understand the role, duties and responsibilities of a
male or female. Your lack of knowledge and emotions are blinding
your vision and hence you are jumping conclusions.
Be guided accordingly.

Haresh B: Namaste Guruji. I grew up in a home where honoring
ancestors is a customary act before some big festival like
Deepavali, or treated as a rememberence day on punyathithi(if
known) or even English calendar date of death. Typically, the
event would be to gather as many relatives as possible and
offer some food in front of the deceased photo and adjourn for a
feast. Barring those few days, I am not aware of any offering of
tarpanams or formal shrardham being conducted in my
grandfather’s time. Also vedic purohitas in singapore don’t
officiate in non-brahmin homes. In such circumstances:
I. If we have access to Saligrama, can we offer yellu sadham
(gingelly rice) during pitru paksha or punyathithi days (where
known) and recite some hymns praying that the offerings reach
our ancestors and, they may attain the pitru loka and be re-born
66
or attain moksha? Can the neivedyam then be consumed as
prasadam of Lord and ancestors?
II. In future if we want to learn how to perform the tarpanams,
what if we only know some of the names and not all of the 3
generations?
Any thoughts on this Guruji? Jaya jaya Sri Sudarshana
Guruji : Haresh, let us now discuss a few points about
‘Salagrama’ to understand whether such a practice will help us
in any way. ‘Salagrama’ is a type of ammonite rock with some
fossil formations in the shape of chakra, shankhu, gada, padma
etc., Some are considered to be billions of years old and the
recent ones dates to at least 10 million years or so. No doubt
scientifically many things are said about it’s origin, evolution etc.,
Let us look at Salagrama from prayoga veda point view, which I
had learnt from my Masters Araamudan, Maharishi Rajar and
Narayanan Namboodri. Salagramas are nothing else but the
pure divine form of ‘Aadi Narayana’. There is a form of ‘Aadi
Narayana’ called as ‘Maha Sarpa/Sesha Narayana’ who resides
in the Patala. This Patala is not to be confused with the depth in
the ocean. This Patala is below the earth trillions and trillions of
miles away. This ‘Maha Sarpa Narayana’ before creation started
manifested in the form of Salagramas and resided in them as
‘Aadi Narayana’. The entire creation, genesis is believed to have
originated from these Salagramas. So, this ‘Aadi Narayana’ in
the form of Salagrama is none other than our forefathers,
forefathers, forefathers, forefather(enthai thanthai thanthai
thanthai tham moothappan) as sung by Alwars about Lord
Lakshmi Nrusimha). Today we say there are billions of species
of life forms across the cosmos. All these species have their
origin located somewhere in these Salagramas. These
Salagramas are nothing else but our own forefathers from time
immemorial. Salagramas became an inherent part of worship
among the Hindus since they considered and believed it to be
the origin of entire creation. The origin can only be the creator
from which everything originated. It is also believed that once
67
one starts worshipping a Salagrama, Lord ‘Aadi Narayana’
assumes the form of a ‘Jiva pitru’ and starts residing in it. In one
way it also becomes a part of one’s own worship towards the
ancestors. So, worshipping a Salagrama is as good as
worshipping Lord ‘Aadi Narayana’ in the form of one’s own
forefather in the role of a ‘Jiva pitru’. ‘Jiva pitru’ means one who
resides flesh and blood as the head of the pitru clan. Incidentally
in this case, he resides in the Salagrama.
In worshipping a Salagrama what is more important is the faith
and love towards it. One should have unquestionable faith in
believing the Salagrama to be the form of Lord ‘Aadi Narayana’.
Lord is very pure. Any impurity coming in contact with it, becomes
pure by losing the impurity. Though different Vaishnavite schools
prescribe certain methods and proscribe certain other things,
our Prayoga veda to which you all belong to says that just faith
with unconditional love towards it is enough for one to have it
and adore it. The way you love your lover is the way a Salagrama
has to be loved. Among the danams (charity), Salagrama dana
to a person who will worship it with love and dedication will relieve
one from all past sins and ensures them merger with the Lord
‘Aadi Narayana’. In prayoga, we use these Salagramas in pooja
worship and yagnas to relieve people from the past sins
committed due to doership attitude. It also helps us in
communication with different ancestors (pitrus) belonging to
various gotras to better understand their position in the cycle of
births and deaths in various families to get things done for the
world at large. This aspect is very important for elevation of soul
to Pitru-loka or attainment of ‘mumukshu’ (moksha) ultimately.
So, in my opinion, when no other source is available, offering
black til rice (gingelly rice) called ‘yellorai’ to Lord ‘Aadi Narayana’
with all sincerity and dedication should suffice your purpose
Haresh at Singapore. If Haresh, you do not know the names of
the forefathers, substitute it with the your kula devata name of
God and Goddess.

Radhekrishna Guruji. Very sorry to disturb you. Seeking your
blessings and guidance on restraining from all religious, nithya
karma to the Lord (like saligramaabhishekam etc), temple visits
for 10 days when your near ones (daayadhi) expires. At your
feet. Namaskarams!!
Guruji: I personally don’t agree to this at all. In fact without
doing the Nitya karmas, the naimittika karmas will not work. I
differ on this score. Probably to show better attention to the pitrus
and the soul which passed away, they kept 10 days of theetu
(abstinence from all duties). Still, I feel nitya karmas have to be
done without which it is highly improper to do Naimittika karmas.
Infact the pitrus are said to be residing in the Salagramas.
Maharishi Rajar said to me those days, that I will worship
thousands of Salagramas and it will be a satisfaction to thousands
of Gotra pitrus and rishis. Today in reality, I find this happening
with the thousands of Salagramas being worshipped on a day
to day basis at our place and during the yagnams.

Haripriyananduri: Guruji, What is meant by pitrudosham. What
are it’s implications. Please enlighten us. Pranams
Guruji : Hari, let me first basically go in to certain things before
attempting to answer your question. Dharma sastra was
expounded thousands of years back. So is it possible in letter
and spirit to implement all the things as said in the sastras? The
circumstances and the environment under which those were told
were more serene and unpolluted. The thoughts and the deeds
performed by any one was far more dhaarmic by nature. People
had faith in disciplined living and were not much in search of
material pursuits. Today, the world is least disciplined and more
after material pursuits. The atmosphere today is neither that
serene nor unpolluted. Our entire thoughts and deeds have
undergone a radical change and it’s more a life of convenience.
Under these circumstances, what is the use of getting to know
anything about ancestors/forefathers or pitru loka? If I say

69
something, can you all really follow it? When not followed will it
not psychologically depress you and the people around you?
So, don’t worry about all that. I am a Prayogi. I have come to
only take care of such aspects. Just be with me and support me
in our cause of Prayogams and prayers. I am not Lord Krishna
but I remember what he said in Gita.
‘Sarva dharma parityajya mam ekam charanam vrajaha i
Aham tva sarva papebhyo, mokshyischami ma sucha ha ii
Meaning....
Just leave everything to me and surrender to me, I will take care
of your sins and offer liberation to your soul. Only a Maha Prayogi
Bhagawan Lord Krishna can make such a statement. On the
authority given by my Masters in the subject of Prayoga, I say,
don’t worry. Have faith with the Lord. Through prayoga, I will
take care of all your sins and Lord will assist me in the process
of liberating your soul.

Sa yee : Guruji, one thing I always wonder. Our name is our
identity in a particular birth and changes from birth to birth in
humans. To make it complex, I doubt if there is a naming custom
for members of flora and fauna. How is the soul identified across
different janmas? What is the original title/name of a soul’s record
from its start to the merger?
Guruji : Sayee, everything is linked to pitrus (forefathers). The
identification is done by them. Sometimes due to certain reasons
which cannot be understood by normal humans, there is
something called cross fire. Humans to animals or animals to
plants, shrubs, trees etc., humans to insects or micro-organisms,
bacteria, algae or from those to humans. All the tags are done
by various levels of forefathers under the guidance of the ‘Jeeva
pitrus’. The subject is complex and cannot be conceived by
normal humans. Ultimately the ‘pitrus’ and ‘Jeeva pitru’ play an
important role in one’s life. Without their concurrence nothing
good or fortunate can be made to happen in a family. Further
70
even when someone is seriously ill, it is up to them to permit
any mitigation of the disease. So, always pray to your ‘pitrus’
and the ‘Jiva pitru’ of your family. You need not know any mantra
or sloka for it. Your dedicated prayers to them will mitigate the
seriousness of any situation. Oh! What an act of cowardice it
would have been had our ancestors lacked courage in proceeding
with life by not taking risks?

Santosh Thati: Guruji, Pranam: “Suicide & accidental deaths
will result in spirits & ghosts”. Is this statements true? If Lord
permits, let me know. Your grace.
Guruji : Santosh, in case according to fate, it was to be a case
of suicide or accidental death, they are believed to reach the
Vaitarani river but may not be able to cross it. In case as per fate
it was not the case, it is believed that such souls hang somewhere
in the middle and gets transformed into spirits or ghosts.
But in both the cases a Prayogi can help. He spots the soul and
pushes it in to ‘pitru loka’ with the permission of the Jeeva pitru
of the departed soul. There are a lot of technicalities in the subject
which you cannot understand. I limit my reply to this extent.
***
Mounika Madgula: Hi Guruji. For such departed souls, will
performing pitrukaryams help to be reborn in the family? Or would
it help if prayed by mortals to pitrus for those souls?
Guruji : Mouny, Pitru karyams are for those souls which has a
possibility to reach pitru loka. Where there is no possibility, some
Mahaan or Sadhguru or a Prayogi alone can help. First a strong
case for their acceptance in to pitru loka has to be made and
then the process of elevating them to pitru loka.
***
Prabha Subramaniam: Pranaams Guruji. Is there anyway we
can pray or repay our forefathers and elders in the family as
they don’t have anyone (including their children) not performing
71
srartham? Seek your kind grace to help them.
Guruji : Prabha, Keep 2 plantain leaves one on the other. On it
2 kgs rice, 200 gms moong dal, 2 kachha plantains, 200 gms
tapioca, One small block of jaggery, one brass or copper tumbler
filled with water, Rs1116/- as dakshina. Give it to a Brahmin.
Since 8th happens to be Mahalaya ammavasya, that day would
be ideal.
****
Yvss Sundaram: What about cases like me!!? Pranams
Mahatma.
Guruji : Yvss, even those who are not in my sight but will be in
my insight. ‘Prayoga’ covers every human possible and hence
none is out of sight. The aim of ‘prayoga’ is to cover any one
and everyone. I will tell you something that happened a few
years back. There was a an ardent disciple attached to a
Gurukulam of a Peetadhipathi. He remained with him for 20
years. He was very sincere and loyal to his Master. He developed
some differences with him and left to Himalayas. Someone else
informed him that I was the cause of his separation from the
Peetadhipathi. Day in and day out, the peetadhipathi (sanyasi)
used to curse me since he reposed a lot of confidence on the
person who gave the information. Incidentally, the informant was
a Vaamachaari and had some grouse against me.
One day the peetadhipathi attained mukthi after some brief
illness. I had gone to the forest for doing some prayogams. After
completing the fire worship, I had gone deep into the forest to
do some ‘dhyana’. As I was meditating, there was some
disturbance and I could not meditate. I could visualise a spirit
which was expecting some help. I asked, ‘who are you? Is there
anything, I can do to alleviate your suffering?’
It said, ‘I was a peetadhipathi, whom you do not know. I had an
ardent disciple for 20 years. He left me and went to Himalayas
due to some misunderstanding with me. One Vaamachaari whom
I relied told me that you were the cause of my disciple’s
72
separation from me. So, day and night I used to curse you. Not
a single day passed without cursing you’. I laughed and said,
‘it’s ok. This is very normal. Any person in your place would
have done that. What big deal in this? Just drop all that. You
please tell me whether I can do anything for you?’ It said, ‘now
my problem is, I am not able to reach the abode of Shiva. I have
a feeling that because I cursed you, my soul is not attaining
salvation. Can you help me in any way?’ I said, ‘you allow me to
be in ‘samadhi’ state for some time. I will find out as to what I
can do for you’. I attained the samadhi state and came back
after 8 hours.
I told, ‘there is nothing to worry. I can make you born in a family.
You will have a human life span of 52 years. You will be pious
and good. You will live as a Brahmachari and on your death will
reach the abode of Lord Shiva as desired by you. Are you
prepared to undergo this task?’.
It said, ‘I have no choice. I know today that you are the only
person who can help me. I am prepared to undertake this life
pilgrimage to attain the feet of the Lord’.
He was born 8 years ago to a farmer in Maharashtra as the 6th
child in the family.

Soujanya Ayachitula: Pranams Guruji. Is it the souls that are not
elevated to the pitruloka only cause some troubles to the people
whom they were not in good terms when alive? As per my
understanding the attached detachment applies to all the souls
that are elevated to pitruloka and they bless their living heirs
when prayed to. Is my understanding correct Guruji? Humble
pranams.
Guruji : Soujanya, This is a very vast subject. Souls not elevated
to pitru loka are likely to trouble everyone in the family not
withstanding whether they were in good terms or not. Some of
them get transformed in to negative energy and create trouble
even for others not at all connected with the family and the
73
environment too. The rules of the game are very vast. As a
Prayogi, our role is to watch out for such souls and put them
back in to pitru loka. So, we perform a number of Prayogams
after interacting with the pitrus and Jeeva pitru of the family of
the person so deceased. Lots of negotiations take place and
their admission in to pitru loka is subject to a Prayogi fulfilling
those conditions.
***
Forefathers/ancestors/pitrus is a very vast subject. Facebook
interactions are not enough to explain it in entirety. An attempt is
being made by me to explain it in a brief form.
