 Australian- American, a world famous


celebrity with a disability and founder
of Life Without Limbs-an organization
for people with physical disabilities.
 Born with tetra-amelia syndrome, a
rare disorder characterized by the
absence of arms and legs.
 He is currently giving motivational
talks around the world.

3. Rosselle Ambubuyog

 First visually-impaired Filipina to emerge


as summa cum laude graduate of the
Ateneo de Manila Univertsity(ADMU)
 Born on January 12 , 1980, Ambubuyog,
totally blind since age six, finished her
Bachelor of Science degree major in
Mathematics.
 She was also choses as class valedictorian
chosen among all summa cum laude
graduates.
4. Jessica Cox

 A Filipina -American, is the world’s first


licensed armless pilot as well as the first
armless black-belt in the American Taekwondo
Association. She was born without arms due to
a rare birth defect.

F. Finding Practical “Spotlighting Talent”
Applications or concepts and
skills in daily living Divide the students into four groups and
assign each group with a specific disability
and those members from the underprivileged
sectors. The students will choose their
respective group according to their
preferences, skills, or talents. Be guided with
the rubric for your performance rating.

Group 1(Singing)- demonstrating the talents

Group 2 ( Role play) – you have encountered


a differently- abled person in the street and
out of nowhere he asks you for advice to
encourage him to keep moving forward, what
will be you advice? (3-5 minutes)

Group 4( dancing) – perform activities that

disabilities, persons in a wheelchair.

 Encourage students to recognize and appreciate the


unique talents and abilities of their peers, fostering a
supportive and inclusive environment.
 After the performances, ask the other group to share their
thoughts and appreciation for the performances.
