My first day at a new school

By : Mariam Abdelrazzaq/ Year: 6E

School: S.I.P.S
Of course, unforgettable! I will never forget my first day at school. When I
woke up as an early bird to catch the worm, it was just a bright and sunny
morning. I was afraid to be going to a new huge school. It felt like going to
the middle of nowhere. I had heard a lot of great things about my new school.
I quickly got ready, had breakfast, and then went off, heading toward school
like a bunny.

Approaching the main gates, I found that the school was enormous,
systematic, and organized. I where my classroom was. Many other students
were spreading like butterflies in the school compound, on the shiny stairs,
and the playground. Suddenly, I glimpsed someone. I said: It looks like a girl
from my old school, Zeinab. I never spoke to her ever since my old school. I
was over the moon. Happy, excited, and overwhelmed to see her. She was my
safety kit.

I called her name she immediately came towards me with a cute smile
that raised my spirits. She seemed happy to see me two. She is two years of
senior to me. It was impossible to be in the same class. However, I was not as
nervous about enrollment in a new school. After meeting her, anymore.
There, we guided each other, found our classes as friends, and had the tastiest
lunch ever; the friend’s lunch.

The school is my home. Home sweet home, I thought. It turned out to be

as cool as a comfy chair. My English improved as we chatted and practiced a
lot. I have also made some new friends. I felt scared about the first day in a
new school but, thankfully, that nightmare just vanished
