Home Position Adjustment of Index Table

When the index table deviates from the 0-deg. position or the MR-J2 controller is
replaced, the following adjustment is needed.

First, in order to display the hidden menu, operate as follows:

1) Press the Emergency Stop button to set the machine in the emergency
stop state.

2) Set "1" to R2107-F on the Diagnosis screen.

Move a cursor to HEX and enter 8000. (If a value is already in HEX, enter a
total value of 8000 and the value that has been already entered in HEX.)

3) Cancel the emergency stop state to turn back the Emergency Stop button.

YME: Press the MF1 and Reset buttons simultaneously to

cancel the emergency stop.
YMC: Press the Reset button to cancel the emergency stop.

4) Turn off the NC power and turn off the main breaker. (Wait for 5
seconds.)

5) Turn on the main breaker and the NC power again.

After the home position initial setting and fine adjustment are completed,
change this parameter to "0" without fail in order to prevent a customer
from operating it. (Factory preset is "0".)

Additionally, after the NC power and the main breaker are turned off and on
after the parameter change, make sure that the initial set menu (the menu
displayed after entering 1131 used only by service engineers) will not be
displayed.

1. Press the MACHINE menu key on the NC operation panel to display the
machine menu on the screen.

2. Press the MAGAZINE TABLE SET MENU key.

3. Press the menu selector button (the rightmost button) to change the screen.

4. Press the TABLE UNCLAMP key.

5. By pressing the TABLE JOG CW key or the TABLE JOG CCW key, move the table
while checking the dial indicator so that the side face of the counter-pallet hook side
becomes parallel to the X-axis.

6. Clamp the table by pressing the TABLE UNCLAMP key again. Here, check that the
couplings are engaged well.

7. While holding down the MF1 key, press the TABLE ORIGIN MODE key
and then the TABLE ORIGIN SET key.

The TABLE ORIGIN MODE key is lit and the TABLE ORIGIN SET key starts
blinking.

8. Press the TABLE UNCLAMP button and keep holding down the TABLE JOG CCW
key until the table stops, where is the "GRID" position. (It moves approx. 10 mm around
the table.)

Here, the TABLE ORIGIN SET key gets lit from the blinking state.

9. Turn off the NC power and the main breaker, and then turn them on again. Wait for
10 seconds to back on the main breaker after turning it off.

10. Press the TBL. HOME RETURN key. Then clamp the table. (If the table has been
clamped, unclamp the table and then press the TBL. HOME RETURN key.)

11. Check the parallelism of the table.

Set the table to the 0-deg. position and remove the edge locator from the table.

Apply a dial indicator to the side face of the pallet and measure the parallelism to the X-
axis.

* Parallelism to the X-axis: 0.007/300 mm or less

12. Adjust overrun/underrun so that the table is clamped smoothly.

The table is indexed by a motor electrically, being positioned by the coupling

electrically when it is clamped. If there is a difference between them, overrun or
underrun occurs.

If the table overruns or underruns by performing the table clamp/unclamp operation

manually, adjust the home position offset parameter (#114 ZRN shift) of the MR-J2-CT.
