ORDER
Sub: Notice for Pre-Employment Medical Examination to the candidates find successful in
GATE-2023 for Management Trainees in ECL

In reference to earlier order no. ECL/CMD/C-6/ Rectt/18/ 589 dated 20.02.2024 , provisionally
selected candidates for the post of Management Trainees (MT) are required to report to CMS(I/C)
Central Hospital Kalla, P.O. Kalla, Asansol, Dist. P.Burdwan, PIN - 713340for undergoing
Pre-employment Initial Medical Examination(IME). The IME will be conducted as per provision
of Mines Act and established practise of the company.

(2) Candidates are required to reportto theCH Kalla, Asansol, by 9:00 am on the date
mentionedagainst their names.They are required to submit 15 copies of passport size
photographs duly signed in the front of said photograph. The photograph should be alike copy of
the photograph uploaded in the online application.

(3) The candidates are also required to produce original copy of the following certificates:
i) SSC (class 10th) for DOB
ii) 10+2 or equivalent
iii) B-tech/M-tech Certificate..
iv) Valid GATE -2023 Score Certificate.
v) Valid First Aid Certificate.
OR
i) SSC (class 10th) for DOB
ii) Recognised diploma or degree in Mining Engineering having valid statutory
competency certificates, recognised by DGMS to work as Mining Engineering in coal
mines.
iii) Valid GATE-2023 Score Certificate.
iv) Valid First Aid Certificate.

(4)In addition to that they will produce 2 (two) sets of photocopy of above certificates with self
attestation. The GT & Mining Sirdarship competency certificates in original will be retained by
the company for verification. Other certificates will be returned after checking.

(5) The above selection is subject to verification of their educational, caste & statutory
certificates &found fit in Pre-employment Medical Test as per the guideline of Mines
Rules.Hence appearing in IME is not a sole criteria for appointment.

(6)The candidate has to execute aIndemnity Bond of Rs.100000/-(One Lakh) to serve the
company for a minimum period of 3(three) years.In case, he leaves the company after his
appointment before completing of 3(three) years of service as Management (MT) , he has to pay Rs.
100000 (One lakh) to the company. The prescribed format of the said Bond is attached here with,
which is to be prepared & 100000 (One lakh) Demand Draft drawn in favour of Coal lndia Ltd on
any Scheduled Bank payable at its Branch at. Kolkata submitted by the candidate on 20.02.2024.
(7) Candidates who will found unfit in IME (Initial Pre-employment Medical Examination) will
not be considered for employment in spite of their success in written test. However they will be
given a chance of review by Apex Medical Board with a paymentof charges if the appeal is
received for review within 30 days of commencement of IME result with supporting documents.

BOND FOR CANDIDATE SELECTED FOR MANAGEMENT TRAINEES UNDER EASTERN

COALFIELDS LIMITED

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS THAT I (CANDIDATE NAME) , son of (Father’s
Name) by Caste ______ resident of _______ Dist. ____, State – ______ & at present residing
at ______ Dist. ___, State – ____ hereinafter called ‘the CANDIDATE’, do hereby bind myself to
pay to the Eastern Coalfields Limited, having its registered office as ‘EASTERN COALFIELDS
LIMITED, Sanctoria, P.O. - Dishergarh, Dist. – Burdwan, West Bengal – 713333’ (hereinafter
called “the Company”), on demand the sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakhs only) or the
amount received by the CANDIDATE as pay, allowances, traveling expense and cost of
equipment etc., during the period of probation and service in the Company together with interest
(as prevalent bank rate which ever is less, to be paid to the Company) their successors and
assigns at Sanctoria, Burdwan (WB).
Dated this ______ day of ____, Two Thousand and Sixteen.
WHEREAS the above bounden CANDIDATE has been selected by the Company for
employment.
The condition of the above written obligation along with the terms of the letter of appointment is
that:
(a) Failing to continue the job for which he has been selected for reasons other than ill-health
PROVIDED THAT such ill-health has not been brought on by his own neglect, carelessness
or misconduct. PROVIDED FURTHER THAT the opinion of Medical Officer of the Company
or any other Medical Officer nominated by the Company shall be final both in regard to the
ill-health or whether the ill-health has been brought on by the negligence, carelessness or
misconduct of the above bounden CANDIDATE.
(b) Refusing to serve the Company for a minimum period of 36 months in any capacity
commensurate with his job description as directed by the Company.
(c) Failing to refund the Company an over-payment made to him during the course of probation
as MANAGEMENT TRAINEES, the service will be liable to termination and the above bounden
CANDIDATE shall forthwith refund to the Company on demand and without demur an
amount at the following rates:

Total emolument drawn during the the total amount so repayable by

Period of Probation (plus interest thereon the CANDIDATE shall in no event exceed
Calculated at the prevalent rate). Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakhs) only.

AND UPON his making such refund the above written obligation shall be void and of no effect,
otherwise it shall remain in full force and virtue.
PROVIDED ALWAYS that it is hereby agreed and declared that the decision of the Company as
to whether the above bounden CANDIDATE has or has not performed and observed the
obligation and conditions herein shall be final and binding.
PROVIDED FURTHER that this bond shall in all respects be governed by the laws of India.

The Company may, however at its discretion alter/interrupt the probation and services of said
Shri (CANDIDATE NAME).
