In Kenya's heart, an echoing sorrow sings, Mental health warriors armed with
Rampant suicide spreads its haunting wings. compassion;
A land embattled by demons unseen, Seeking to heal rather than elicit attrition
Beneath the smiles, a storm brews serene.
Building bridges across divided lands;
From dusty streets and bustling towns, Reaching for lives held by desperate hands;
The cries of anguish begin to resound. Stitching fragments of broken alliances;
Unseen scars etched upon weary souls, Finding strength within vulnerability dances—
Desperation lurks in untold folds.
Oh Kenya! Rise above this dark abyss!
Whispered secrets amid the morning haze, Open your arms wider in tenderness bliss!
Of dreams destroyed and hope’s disarrayed. Offer understanding amidst life’s battle;
Like tendrils creeping through fertile soil, Let hope in hearts bloom; remove death's
Suicide claims victims in tragic coil. shackle.

Young hearts burdened with burdens not For within your soul, strength does reside,
theirs, Woven through mountains and rivers' stride.
Tumbling into darkness, unaware Unite the shattered pieces of despair—
That help is near, if sought or called for; Embrace each other with love, simply dare.
Yet silence thrives behind each closed door.
It starts within our homes and schools alike,
In villages nestled among rolling hills, Instilling kindness from an early strike.
Where fragrant blossoms sweetly spill Break down walls that silence pain’s voice
Their petals on paths strewn with despair— unheard;
Suicide lingers like a silent prayer. Illuminate paths where compassion is stirred.

For what despair has gripped this land? Rampant suicide may carve its path anew,
What wounds are left without healing hand? But it can be halted; together we do.
Is it poverty that gnaws their core? Hold hands across this nation's expanse wide
Or societal pressures they can't ignore? Till every heart finds peace on the other side.

Perhaps depression lurks within their hearts—


An invisible veil holding them apart.
Society shuns dialogue and empathy.
Silent sufferers hide beneath apathy.

But amidst this bleak cloud of pain's descent,


There lies a glimmer of solace yet unspent:
Kindling embers of hope from afar,
Lighting candles where shadows mar.

Bringing together minds both strong and frail



Humans reaching out through love's curving
rail.
