COLLECTIVE HOUSING

1. GENERAL DATA
Project name: Cooperative collective housing (Coop-housing)

Height regime: S+P+3

Location: Str. Croitorilor + Str. Ploiesti, Cluj-Napoca, County Cluj

2. OBJECT OF THE PROJECT

The project deals with the structure and resistance of a collective housing complex in Cluj-Napoca. It is proposed to
demolish all the buildings on the plot, with the exception of the building with environmental value in the D+P regime
and a collective housing building, in the (S)+P+2 regime, which will be subject to a reconversion and the construction
of a housing complex collectives in a cooperative regime. The objective of the project is to create an ensemble, both with
private living spaces and common spaces, aimed at reactivating the community that lives on the plot, but also the
individuals in the area, through the new functions that appear: commercial and rental spaces, co-working and study areas,
but also some public food spaces (cafe and pastry shop).

3. THE SITUATION OF THE LAND AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD

The land that is the subject of this study is located in the inner city of Cluj-Napoca, at the intersection of Croitorilor street
with Ploieÿti street, in Cluj county, representing a riparian plot adjacent to the main traffic arteries, intended for
restructuring - Mixed zone with closed construction regime. The plot has access to both streets that border the site on two
out of three sides. Car access is on the plot from Croitorilor street through a ramp that leads to the underground
parking on one level. Pedestrian access is on all three sides of the site, through specially arranged areas. The plot
is bordered to the south-east by the Mihai Viteazul agro-food market, to the south-west by single-family housing plots
and a public building (Synagogue), to the north-east by an office building at the property boundary and to the north- west
with a collective housing building from the socialist period and public domain. The studied body adjoins the single-family
homes and the office building. Since the body of the building is only a few meters from the single-family houses, we used
piles on that side. We also used piles in the northeast. The piles are also placed at the property line towards the street
because the building is built right at the property line on the street.

4. DESCRIPTION OF THE SUPERSTRUCTURE

Initially the structure was thought to be diaphragms, columns and slab floor, but this prevented circulation in the
basement. So we opted for a structure in reinforced concrete frames. We also wanted an apartment to
Machine Translated by Google

it only fits between four pillars. The resistance structure of the building will therefore be on reinforced concrete frames, with
reinforced concrete pillars, with a section of 75 cm, 65 and 60 cm respectively, with beams of size 35X70 and with a floor
thickness of 21 cm at all levels. The concrete used for the construction of the superstructure will be of class C25/30. A pole is
substituted by the elevator diaphragm.

5. DESCRIPTION OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE

We modified the basement, as we felt that the first phase was a waste of material and two ramps to the underground car park
were not necessarily needed. In addition, we wanted to have a rectangular shape. In the basement we added a settlement joint,
since the surface of the basement exceeds the surface of the building.

IV. CALCULATION SUMMARY

1. Floor
The proposed slab discharges according to: lmax / lmin ÿ 2 where l is the opening between 2 pillars, here 8.40 m for
lmax. For the other direction we will choose the largest of the openings, respectively 8.40 m for lmin. As 8.40 / 8.40=1,
and 1 ÿ 2, the condition checks. Plate thickness: The primary condition of the plate is that h plate = 120mm minimum, and
the calculation formula is: hplate = lmin / 40~45, then hplate = 840 cm / 40 =21cm.

2. Beams

The height of the section of the main beams of the structure is calculated according to the formula: hbeam = l / 8~12 So, for
the beam of larger openings we will have h = 840 cm / 12, from which it follows that the related beam will have h = 70
cm. For the beam of the smaller spans we will choose the largest span, since we have different spans in this direction. The beam
will have h = 840 cm / 12, from where hbeam = 70cm. To calculate the beam section widths, the formula bbeam = hbeam / 1.5~4 is
used, and the minimum of this value must be 200 mm. Thus, for the beam of the larger opening we have bbeam = 70cm / 2, i.e. 35
cm. For the beam of the smaller opening we will have bbeam = 70 cm / 2, i.e. 35 cm.

3. Pillars

The first step is to determine the axial effort of this pillar, which is calculated with the formula: N = no. floors x area
related to the column x the load related to the floor.

For poles 1A and 1G

The related area is, for a pillar, half the value of each opening starting from the pillar. For these pillars, the related area is 8.4/2*8.4/2=17.64
square meters.

Axial stress:

Basement: N= 5*17.64*12kN/m²=1058.8 kN= 1058400 N

Ground floor: N=4*17.64*14kN/m²= 846720N

Machine Translated by Google

Floor 1: N=3*17.64*12kN/m2= 635040N

For the section area of the pillars we will use the formula As = ÿ x N / 0.8 x fcd, where fcd = 16.66 N/mm2 marginali), , and ÿ = 1.8~2.5 (pillars
and fcd=16.66 N/mmp. We will choose ÿ=2.5.

119189.2 345.2379 34.52379 E1 35

We will do the same for the rest of the pillars, first calculating the related area, to obtain the axial effort and then the cross-sectional area of the
pillars on each level. (You can see the calculations below.)

From the calculation of the axial stress on each pillar, it appears that pillars 2B and 2F are the most disadvantaged, seeing the axial stresses

For basement: N= 2,797,200 N Ace=525,000 mm2 => pillar side= 725.56mm= 72.45cm, rounded to 75cm.

For the ground floor: N= 2,237,760 N Ace=420,000 mm2 => pillar side= 648.07mm=64.8cm, rounded to 65cm.

For the 1st floor: N= 1,678,320 N Ace=325,000 mm2 => pole lautra=561.24mm=56.12cm, rounded to 60cm.
