A continuous supply of high-quality compressed air is indispensable
for the productivity of your plant. Installed in a 20 ft container,
Atlas Copco’s ContainAIR™ outdoor stationary compressors provide
you with a flexible, compact and reliable solution that allows you to
react immediately to urgent air demands. Due to their remarkably
short set-up time, they offer unrivalled mobility in large plants and
deliver high-quality compressed air exactly where you need it.
The ContainAIR™ series builds on the proven success of the oil-free
rotary screw Z compressors and is available in different variants to
meet your specific requirements.

SPACE-SAVING & FLEXIBLE FAST INSTALLATION & START-UP

The ContainAIR™’s compressor is completely
integrated into a standard 20 ft high-cube freight
container that protects it against rain and snow. The
container is outfitted with gratings, louvers and large
doors for air ventilation, connections and service
requirements. As there is no need for a separate
compressor room, you can save space and costs. The
ContainAIR™ is a silenced package and can be placed
virtually anywhere. It is also suitable for off-shore use.
To facilitate transportation the container fits on a
standard truck.
• Can be installed in record time on any flat surface;
no foundation required.
• No need to obtain a building permit for a compressor
room (depending on local legislation).
• Electrical installation for nominal current is sufficient
(for VSD units).
• Fork lift slots and lashing eyes ensure easy
transportation.
• Easy hook-up thanks to the air outlet which is brought
to a flange outside the container.
• One single connection for all compressor and dryer
drains.

RELIABLE PERFORMANCE UNDER ANY

CONDITION
Operating air compressors in tough environments has
been a challenge to plant engineers for many years.
Often, the solution was to order custom-built units at
high additional expense. With the ContainAIR™ series,
Atlas Copco offers you an off-the-shelf solution. While
its standard ambient operating range is 0°C (32°F) to
45°C (113°F), and 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F) for FF units,
it can easily be adapted to deliver reliable performance
under any condition. For temperatures as low as -20°C
(-4°F), a special winterization option is available.
Furthermore, as the ContainAIR™ series was specially
designed for outdoor use, the inlet and outlet openings
are equipped with gratings to protect your investment
against damage caused by vermin.

HIGH QUALITY DRY AIR

The ContainAIR™’s Full Feature (FF) versions come with an
integrated IMD adsorption dryer that has no purge losses and
almost no energy consumption. As it offers high quality dry air
with the lowest pressure drop and uses the heat of compression
for regeneration, it saves 5-20 % of the compressor power
compared to other dryer types. Any moisture is eliminated before
it enters the air net and even tough environments do not influence
air quality. The dry quality air provided by ContainAIR™ is
the only 100% effective solution to safeguard products,
processes, tools, machines and instruments, avoiding repairs and
production delays.

PREPARED FOR WINTER EASY MAINTENANCE

The winterization option ensures the continuous operation of the
ContainAIR™ in temperatures as low as -20°C (-4°F). Auto-closing
louvers re-circulate the warm cooling air when necessary to keep
the temperature in the container above 0°C (32°F). To protect the
compressor during standstill, thermostatically controlled heaters
are installed in the compressor while heat tracing keeps the drain
pipes from freezing. Automatic and manual drain valves enable
you to evacuate condensate when the unit is stopped. All extra
wiring comes together in a separate cubicle.
• Only 1 service visit every 2000 running hours or every 6 months
(depending on which comes first).
• No refill of Diesel tank required.
• Easy access to the container thanks to large access doors and
special service roof.
• The compressed air outlet connection is brought to the outside.
• The drains are all combined into a single connection.
• Optional remote monitoring reduces the number of service
interventions and prevents downtime and production losses.
