ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
January - March 2024

The barangay nutrition scholar is a barangay-based volunteer worker responsible for


delivering nutrition services and other related activities such as community health, backyard
food production, environmental sanitation, culture, mental feeding, and family planning to
the barangay.
The basic tasks of the BNS include caring for the malnourished, mobilizing the
community, linkage-building, keeping records, and other forms of BNS assistance. The
survey involves weighing and measuring the length of height of all preschoolers and
interviewing mothers to determine how the children are cared for, and the resources available
in the family and their participation in nutrition-related interventions. The BNS links the
people needing nutrition intervention and the barangay service providers with the barangay
master list of stunted, underweight, and overweight children, pregnant mothers, and lactating
mothers.

The following activities mentioned below were successfully implemented this


January-March 2024.
Conducted Operation Timbang (OPT)
Home visitation and monthly reweighing children ages from 0-23 months.
Milk for pregnant women and Nutri packs for children were distributed.
Attended clean-up drive and communal garden weekly in selected areas of
barangay Pili, San Fernando, Romblon
Lead an activity – Gift Giving. Distributed clothes for lactating mother.
Prepared papers for municipal and provincial BNS evaluation.
Evaluated by the municipal and provincial evaluators.

When you believe in your purpose you can work through obstacles, overcome
disappointments, and endure hardship. Even if you experience hardship in your work, if you
love it with responsibility and commitment, you will succeed.
