Overview

Note: This section should identify the general subject area and how your proposed the
sis fits in with this general field, explaining why it is significant/important and stating bri
efly what contribution to the field it will make and its likely impact. Assessors will be loo
king for clear focus, identifying the problem.

Aims and research questions

Note: Having identified your research topic you should specify the aims/objectives of y
our research, what research questions or hypotheses you will address and how answ
ering these will contribute to your chosen field.

Literature review

Note: A critical, initial review of the relevant and related literature is required, to indicat
e your understanding of what is already known and understood, and how this in-turn in
forms your research questions.

For Assignment 2, you have to complete the Literature review section. You are asked to
write approximately 2000 words in total for the first version of your research proposal.

References

Note: You should list all the publications and any other sources you have cited in your
proposal as references at the end; you should also include a bibliography of any other
sources which you have read in preparing your proposal (but not cited).

The APA 7th referencing system (instructions in English or Vietnamese) is used in the
university and should be used for the proposal; it is likely that you will be familiar with t
his system as it is widely used.
