How did Apolinario Mabini became a hero?

Apolinario Mabini
Apolinario Mabini (1864-1903) was a Filipino political philosopher and architect of the Philippine
Revolution. He formulated the principles of a democratic people's government and gave a coherent
ideological direction to the historical struggles of the Filipino people. Known for his strong
intellect, political skills and eloquence, Mabini was called the brain and conscience of the
revolution. Before his untimely death in 1903, Mabini and; work and ideas about government
Philippines’ In the struggle for independence in the following century, unable to fight on the
battlefield due to the paralysis of both legs, Mabini served the country, becoming an essential
advisor to then president Emilio Aguinaldo in the formation of the Republic of the Philippines in
1898. . In the Revolt of August 1896 organized by the nationalists, he joined the forces of the
patriot general Emilio Aguinaldo and soon became his right-hand man. When the Spanish-
American War broke out in 1898, Mabini called for cooperation with the United States to win
freedom from Spain. Mabini believed that without others, no person could complete any task or
receive anything that would give him fulfillment and happiness. Everyone needs each other to
survive. In this case, Mabini required unity for happiness and fulfillment.
