EXPERIMENT # 03: Getting Started with WinProLadder Software

for PLC

Objectives:
After performing this Lab, you will be able to:

1. Installation of WinProLadder
2. Basic Functions of WinProLadder
3. Creating Simple Ladder Diagram in WinProLadder

Installation of WinProLadder Software:

1. Insert the PLC-100 CD into your CD-ROM drive. Run the program WPlad211-5713-
ENU.EXE in the Edit Software WinProLadder folder on your PLC-100 CD. The
WinProLadder setup process starts (Fig. 3.1). Click Next to continue installation.

2. Then Select the destination folder where you want to install the WinProLadder Software.

3. Click the Install button for installation as shown in Figure 3.3.

4. Click on the Finish button to complete the installation as shown in Figure 3.4.

5. Double-click on WinProLadder icon under Fetek PLC folder in Start Manu as shown in
Figure 3.5.

6. Goto File > Project to open window shown in Figure 3.6. Select FBs-24-MC as per
installed PLC in PLC-100 Trainer.

7. WinProLadder Software will open with sections mentioned in Figure 3.7.

Main Manu:
Most of the operations can be activated by using the drop down sub-manu using left click of
mouse.
Toolbars:
Most of the major operations can be activated by using the mouse to click the button or icon
in the Toolbar. These buttons or icons are divided into following:
Project icons:

Ladder icons:

File and View icons:

Status Bar:
This area provides the information about the PLC connection mode and it’s connecting status,
current cursor position, ladder memory utilization, and insert or overwrite mode.

Project Tree:
This area outlines the whole project with hierarch tree. The project file system (project tree)
is set up identical to the standard Windows file system. All the jobs needed to work out can
be activated by directly clicking the mouse button on the tree object which leads an intuitive
working environment.

Ladder Diagram Window:
User can input or monitor the ladder program in this area. The ladder windows can be tiled
horizontal or vertical or cascaded.

Lab Task:
Attach the snapshot of installed WinProLadder Software.
