Introduction

H
RDT 2.0 is a useful program to check the status of machine. It provides various

information; machine condition, diagnostic method and maintenance information.

For the excavator with electronic engine, you can check the engine state in real-time. HRDT

2.0 has seven menus as shown below.

These functions are serviceable for customer satisfaction.

1. Installation instructions

1.1 System requirements

1.3. Install HRDT2.0 Software (Based on Microsoft Windows operating system)


1) Insert the HRDT2.0 CD into your computer’s CD-ROM drive.
If the Setup screen doesn‘t appear automatically, do the following:
z Click Start, and then click Run
z Type[Drive]:setup. For example,
if your CD drive is E, type e:setup
2) On the setup screen, click Next,
And then follow the Setup Wizard instructions on the screen.

3) Program will be installed in the folder, ‘ C:\Program Files\HRDT20’.


(If you want to change the folder, click “Browse” button and select a different folder.)
4) Click “Finish” button, then installation is finished.

2. Usage
2.1. Start HRDT 2.0 software
1) After starting software(Default location of the executable file : C:\Program Files\HRDT20),
input the security code(Security Code is on the CD cover).

2.2. Connection with serial Communication

1) Connect a serial cable(21N6 – 32200) between computer and excavator.


2) Turn on the key switch of machine.
3) Select serial port connected with the excavator.
4) Click “Connection” button.
5) Then, main page displays
a. Model information
b. Program version
c. Engine information
d. HOURMETER
e. Serial Number.

6) Menu can be used after serial communication connected.

2.5. Machine diagnosis


▶ This page displays information of machine error.
1) Current fault : Fault occurring currently. (Active fault)
2) Recorded fault : Fault occurred previously. (Inactive fault)
3) In the ‘Machine T/Shooting’ menu, you can read detailed explanation on fault code of machine.

2.6. Engine diagnosis(only for electronic engine)


▶ This page displays information on engine error.
1) Total count : Total count of fault happened until now
2) Engine : Engine maker is displayed.
3) Pos. : Memory position that fault is recorded
4) Code : Fault code number (only for Cummins electronic engine.)
5) SPN, FMI : Detailed code in SAE J1939 (SPN : Suspect Parameter Number, FMI : Fault Mode Identifier)
6) Count : Count that the fault occurred
7) First : Hourmeter when the fault occurred at first
8) Latest : Hourmeter when the fault occurred lastly
9) Red lamp : Active(current) fault
10) Green lamp : Inactive(recorded) fault
11) An explanation for the fault is shown next to green or red lamp.
12) In ‘Engine T/Shooting’ menu, you can read detailed explanation on fault code.
13) Upper part of fault displays 3 faults occurred lately
14) Lower part of fault displays 3 faults in Memory position, (Memory position + 1), (Memory position + 2)
15) You enter the number of memory position, and click “Data call” button, then lower part of fault is displayed.
For example, if ‘4’ is entered in ‘Memory Position’, fault codes of Pos. 4, 5, 6 are displayed.

▶ In this page, you can get detailed information on machine fault.
1) Select the index you want to find, and click “Display” button.
2) Then you can read the procedure of checking the machine, and see the related picture.

2.9. Maintenance
▶ In this page, you can get the information related with consumption parts.
1) R/T : Remaining time by next repairing
2) H/LR : Hourmeter at latest replacement
3) R/C : Repairing count
4) M/T : Maintenance time
5) Page : Group 1, Group 2
6) If you click “Group -1” or “Group – 2” button, then each page is displayed.

7) Gray edit box : The value which controller saved


8) White edit box : The value that user want to set
9) “Load Data” button : Load data from controller
10) “Default M/T” button : Set the value of white edit box to default maintenance time in normal mode.
11) “Breaker” button : Set the value of white edit box to default maintenance time in breaker mode.
12) “Download” button : Set up H/LR, R/C, M/T value to the value of white edit box.
13) “Download M/T” button : Set up M/T in current group to the value of white edit box.

2.10. Operating history


▶ This page displays operating information on the machine until now.
▶ This page is composed of 7 groups.
1) “Load Data” button : Load data from the machine controller of excavator.
2) Group 1 (Operating count)

2.11. Machine test (RT)


▶ This page makes a graph of engine speed, power shift, P1, P2, P3 pressure.
1) “Start” button : Start to measure
2) “Stop” button : Stop to measure (activated only when “10s Data” is not checked)
3) “10s Data”
a. Checked – Measurement time is continued 10 sec.
b. Unchecked – Measurement time is continued Max. 20 min.
4 Sampling time
a. X axis of graph is composed of 500 points.
b. Sampling time means time between the points.
5) File
a. When measurement is over, acquisitional data is saved automatically.
b. If you want to save as other name of file, you need only click “SaveAs” button,
select folder and enter the name.
(Default saving location : C:\Program Files\HRDT20\graph_data)
c. If you want to load saved data, you have to click “Load” button, select the file.
Then the graph is redrawn.
6) Display
a. In graph, vertical green line moves according to mouse position. And time, the value of green line position,
is displayed at left side graph.

b. According to the state of the check box, the graph corresponding to the check box is drawn or not drawn.
c. If you want to see a specific item detailedly, you need click the gray numerical box.

d. You can see edit boxes (Max. Min.) to set the range of Y axis.
If you enter the narrower range than that of default Y axis and click the ‘Y Axis’ button,
then the graph is enlarged. Check the default range of items.
And time and value of items are displayed at the bottom of page.
Yon can escape this detailed page as selecting the ‘Close’ button.
