Give the definition of each terms below!

1. Sales
A transaction that includes an exchange of services or goods for a certain amount of money is
known as a sale. In other words, any activity that involves transferring the ownership of a good
or commodity to the buyer in exchange for a monetary price is known as a sale.

2. Marketing

Marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating,
delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society
at large

3. Business Unit Manager

A business unit manager oversees a business unit within their organization. They are responsible
for preparing a budget, as well as overseeing the creation and preparation of market reports
4. Analysts

Supply chain analysis is the process of evaluating every stage of a supply chain starting from the
time the business acquires raw materials or supplies from its suppliers to the delivery of final
products to the customers

5. Purchasing/ Logistics

Purchasing is the part that has the duty and authority to provide materials for production needs
while logistics is part of the supply chain that functions to plan, implement, control effectively
and efficiently the process of procurement, management, storage of goods.

6. Suppliers

Suppliers or suppliers are parties who sell or supply resources in the form of raw materials to
other parties, both individuals and companies, to then be processed into certain goods or
services

7. Manufacturing/Assembely

Manufacturing refers to the process of converting raw materials into finished products through a
series of production operations. Meanwhile, assembly is the process of combining multiple
components and sub-assemblies into a finished product.

8. Warehouse

Warehouse is a facility for storing and managing goods or finished products in large quantities,
with the aim of ensuring consistent and efficient product availability and meeting customer
demands in a timely manner.

9. Transport

Transportation is the activity of sending goods or products from one place to another in the
manufacturing supply chain. Transportation is an important element in the manufacturing supply
chain because it allows products to be sent from manufacturers to those who need them quickly
and efficiently.

10. Customers

Customers are parties who buy products or services from companies in the manufacturing
supply chain. Customers are an important element in the manufacturing supply chain because
the products produced must meet the needs and demands of customers.

11. Customer Services


Customer service is a service offered by the company to its customers, either before or after
buying a product or service. The goal of customer service is to provide convenience so that their
transaction experience is better and they hope to meet their expectations.

12. Computer system

A computer system in a manufacturing supply chain is a set of hardware, software and


procedures that work together to organize and manage production processes in the
manufacturing industry. The system consists of several well-integrated components, including
enterprise resource planning (ERP), supply chain management, inventory management,
production control and quality control.

13. Re-order Process

Is a point where an item in the warehouse must be added to its inventory before running out of
stock.
