Impact of proper infection control in long term care centres in combating increasing AMR in kampala/
the in creased role of proper infection cobtrol in pong term care centres in combating increasing AMR to
common antibiotics among children in ugandan hospitals

Rationale controlling infection control prevents increasing number of antimicrobial diseases hence
reducing antimicrobial resistance in the long run

Further more children are very volatile to infections

Topic 2

The role of increased knowlege on antibiotic prescription patterns in children and neonates in
combating AMR to common antibiotics in ugandan hospitals

Rationale

The 2 main hinderances towards amr fight in children is the lack of Knowledge concerning the
mechanism in children and lack of enough information regarding pediatric amr hence this study tackles
the latter

Topic 3

Collaborative Involvement of multiple stakeholders( something akin to systems thinking)the


communities to improve knowledge attitude and practices on antimicrobial use in uga ndan hospitals

Rationale

You see although studies indicate that education improves knowlege attitude on amr, the results dont
always reflect the level of education hence there is something missing

Topic 4

Intersectoral regulation of common pediatric antibiotic use, dosing, duration,costs and dose pattern at
hospital and national level to combat antimicrobial resistance in children in ugandan hospitals
