3 Translate into Spanish.

Last year my parents decided that we would spend the Christmas holidays away from Spain for
the first time. They asked us to choose where we wanted to go. I suggested somewhere where it
would be hot, like Australia, and my brother and sister agreed. We imagined eating a wonderful
meal on the beach.

Dad booked the tickets and we started to make preparations. We had to find small presents so I
bought CDs for everyone. It was strange packing my case with summer clothes as it was very cold
in December that year.

After a long flight, we arrived at the apartment early in the morning. It had three large bedrooms.
I was sharing with my younger sister. We had a television!

On Christmas Day we went down to the sea and opened our presents. We all enjoyed a special
meal of fresh seafood. It was a completely different experience from staying at home. Next year
we will go to my grandparents’ house, because we missed them so much when we were abroad.
