They come from the elders, land, and the animals. They come together to mutually benefit each
other regardless of how small their relationship may seem.

Primarily through storytelling that the elders will tell those in their adolescent years in order to
spread the wisdom and values that they have learned overtime.

Humans appear in the sequences of when it comes to carrying out positive values to the
environment, animals, and carrying down good morals to other generations.

What are the implications for understanding Anishinaabe views of human nature and the
place of human existence within creation?
We can understand the Anishinaabe’s views come from one of great wisdom who thrives in
nature and has a mutually beneficial relationship with the environment.
