your partner questions to keep the conversation going. Begin by saying something
about the food.

Host: "The food here is really delicious, isn't it? I've always enjoyed the flavors at this

Host: "I'm glad to hear that. By the way, I heard you recently bought a new house.
How's that going? Are you settling in well?"
Business Partner: "Yes, we're still unpacking but it's coming along nicely."
Host: "That's great to hear. And how about your partner's new job? Is he/she enjoying
the new role?"
Business Partner: "Yes, it's a challenging role but he/she is really enjoying it."
Host: "That's wonderful. It's always good to have a job that challenges and excites us.
Speaking of excitement, I heard you're planning a holiday to Italy this year. Have you
decided which cities you're going to visit?"
Business Partner: “We’re considering between Rome and Venice. Both seem
interesting.”
Host: “Oh, those are two great cities. Rome has a rich history and Venice is incredibly
romantic. Whichever city you choose, I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic holiday. If you
need any advice on the destinations, don’t hesitate to ask me.”
Business Partner: “Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind. Now, let’s focus on the dinner
and enjoy this delicious meal.”
Host: “Absolutely. Let’s enjoy our dinner.”
