RTA: captain robert walton was an arctic explorer.

b) Why did the monster’s sledge surprise Captain Walton and his men?
RTA: It surprised them because they had never seen a person of such a physical
condition before, and less in a place like that.

c) What was Victor Frankenstein doing in the Arctic?


RTA: Frankenstein was looking for someone who was lost (the monster)

d) How was Henry Clerval?


RTA: Henry was Victor's only friend, he was very smart and they got along very well
despite their differences.

e) What did happen when Frankenstein was sixteen?


RTA: Elizabeth fell ill but recovered, however her mother also fell ill and died.

f) Why did Henry Clerval not go to university?


RTA: Henry did not go to college because his father wanted him to stay home to help
with the family business.

g) Who was Mr. Waldman?


RTA: Mr. Waldman was Victor's chemistry teacher.

h) How did Frankenstein feel in the early days in Ingolstad?


RTA: Frankenstein felt shy and uncomfortable.

i) Why didn’t Frankenstein make friends?


RTA: because I was afraid of joining social activities. He also feared he would be
criticized for his interests.

RTA: Frankenstein's interest was the secret of life, he also had an interest in the human
body.

RTA: The first thing Frankenstein had to learn was about death, thus spending a lot of
time looking at corpses.

RTA: Frankenstein discovered the secrets of life and death, including how to give life to
something dead or lifeless.

RTA: they are scientific discoveries because they can help people and advance science.

n) When did he finish his work?


RTA: He finished his work on a dark November night at one in the morning.

o) How did Frankenstein look like when he finished his work?


RTA: when his work was over, Frankenstein looked sick, pale, and very thin.

p) How did the thing that came to life look like?


RTA: What came to life had huge arms and legs. His hair was long and black, and his
teeth were very white. She had a horrible gray-white face and thin black lips.

q) How did Frankenstein feel when he saw his dream come true?
RTA: He couldn't describe his feelings at the time (from my perspective he was scared).

r) What did Clerval do to help Frankenstein?


RTA: Clervar took care of him for a time and was with him. I avoid telling Frankenstein's
father and elizabeth about his illness.

s) Why did Elizabeth send a letter?


RTA: Elizabeth sent a letter because she really wanted to know about Frankenstein, they
were also worried about his absence and his illness.

2. What were the most important events in these chapters?


RTA: The most important events were the meeting of Walton and Frankenstein. Also
how Frankenstein tells his story to Walton and tells him to take it as an example and not
to make the same mistakes.
