Autobiography

My name is Thea Marie M. Borbano. You probably think that my name came from somewhere unique,
but “Theia, Thea” is a Greek goddess that is somehow connected with the heavenly bodies. While Marie
is just my mother’s first name. She is Marie Mercy M. Borbano. My father is Ronaldo R. Borbano, but
sadly he passed away a long time ago before I reach my high school years. Despite of that tragedy I’m
still grateful to God because I still have my mother and my precious sister named Joy Marie M. Borbano.
I was born on June 14, 2002 and raised in Angeles City Pampanga, but my bloodline is half Ilocano and
Cebuano. Plot twist happened when Pandemic strikes, we were forced to go home to my mother’s
hometown in Negros Oriental last 2020. However, as a seventh-day Adventist I struggled in my college
life in Negros, that’s why I had to transfer in a church school with an affordable tuition, which thankfully
my grandfather recommended Northern Luzon Adventist College.

In the western part province of Pangasinan, home of the hundred islands, where salt is the main product
and known as the major supplier of “bagoong” is the hometown of my father. He is the only child of his
parents. Later on, leaving the humid weather of his hometown, he continued his life in the city of pines,
Baguio City. Aside from finding a good work, he also found the love of his life my mother, who also did
the same thing. Straight from Negros Oriental, my mother had a job in one of the bakeries there. When
it comes in religious beliefs, conflict wasn’t avoided. My father is a member of Jesus the Latter-day saints
and my mother is a Seventh-day Adventist. They hallowed sabbath day differently, which brought a
confusion in our part before. But because of tender, soft, and infinite patience and love of God, He
didn’t let our paths gone wrong. He led us into His green, bright, and soft pasture where every Saturday
we feel His mighty presence towards us.

I’m currently taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, trust me it isn’t an easy ride.
But my perseverance and passion keep me going. But to unveil my hidden dream, I once and always
dream to become a nurse. But I guess, if it’s your calling you cannot escape that. I don’t have any regrets
with my course right now, in fact I’m loving it. However, I promised to myself that when I become
financially stable, I’ll fulfill my dreams that I temporarily left behind due to personal reasons.

To end this, my greatest motivational verse in my life is found in Isaiah 60:22 “When the time is right, I,
the Lord, will make it happen. Everything has its own perfect time; we just have to wait and trust God’s
plan.
