Walking tour with local guide
The trip that I will take You on is more than a gastronomic
adventure. Yes, of course my guests like to say that they had their
fill, but there is more to it than food.
On the way through the Pavilions and subterranean corridors of
the gigantic market, I will spice up the narrative with small funny
stories, and you get an insight into what a “democratic meeting
place” the Central Market is. ITINERARY
People from all walks of life, rich and poor, meet here. Walk through the pavilions of Riga Central Market
The market is in every sense a really colourful place! Walk through the basement territory of Riga Central Market
On the way we’ll going to taste the local foods or delicacies and
the international influences at least 9 places:
• Smoked chicken Latvian natural way
• Riga sprats and salmon sandwiches / canapés
• Fermented cucumber and cabbage
• Fermented mushrooms (only edible ones, I swear!)
• Aubergine roller of Korean traditions
• Hemp butter and hemp pesto canapés
• Home made cheese
• Latvian Rye bread
• Latvian made soft drink made of Latvian Rye bread – kvass or
water
• Latvian Apples
• The fruit of the season

Tour “Maskachka” par of Riga of uneasy history

Riga Moscow suburb is pre city in direction of Moscow or as we


call it “Maskachka”.
Since 15th century this was the place to stay for people and 4
sometimes even refuges from East side.
That’s why here can be seen and visited the churches of different
religious beliefs like Russian orthodox, Oldbelievers, Jews,
Lutherans, Catholics, Armenians, Baptists. ITINERARY
In the darkest times of 20th century, the Jewish Ghetto was placed
here.
The different history can be seen on large variety of churches:
Thus Maskachka is a place of true diversity and example how all
live together peacefully.
• Riga Jesus church (Lutheran)
As well as old tales of Riga say that true friendship can be found
here and life at the fullest bloom happens here. • The remains of Riga Great Horal synagogue (Judaist)

Riga Jewish Heritage Tour with Private Transportation

Explore the difficult history or Riga Jews


Let’s spend five hours and explore the Jewish history within Riga. 1
Learn about history of Jews in Riga starting from 18th century,
the development phase of 19th century, the full bloom phase
at start of 20th century and the horrors of word war two. And of
course have a glimpse of life of today. ITINERARY
Learn about the most famous Jews that are firmly connected to
Riga:
• Visit Riga Synagogue – only synagogue that survived the
Sergei Eisenstein Holocaust and is currently active center.
Sir Isaiah Berlin • Continue through the Museum of the Riga Ghetto and
Mark Rothko Holocaust in Latvia – informative place about Holocaust of
Philippe Halsman World War Two
We are going to explore the Jewish Heritage in deep by visiting • Memorial of the Great Choral Synagogue. A place of great
all the important places in Riga. All are mentioned in itinerary tragedy of 4th July 1941 when many people were trapped

except Saturdays and Jewish holidays.
