GENERAL COMMUNITY INFORMATION: DAYLIGHT SAVINGS ENDS: Be prepared to adjust your commuting habits as we turn our clocks back one hour. Daylight Savings Time ends on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 2:00a.m. so be sure to set all of your clocks backward one hour. The streets in our neighborhoods should be a safe place for Soldiers and their Families. Let's all stay alert and adjust ourselves to the new traveling hours. NEC TECH EXPO: The annual Fort Irwin Technology Exposition, hosted by the Network Enterprise Center (NEC), will take place on Thursday,Nov. 17 at Reggie's from 1000 - 1400. All Fort Irwin personnel are invited to The Technology Expo will have more than 20 exhibitors demonstrating the latest in emerging technologies including: Data Management Solutions, Video/Multimedia/Presentation, Distance Learning, Command and Control Simulation, Video Network Infrastructure, and many more! Don't Forget to Pre-Register online!!! Why Pre-Register? -Avoid lines at check-in -Receive a reminder email the day before the expo -Give feedback on the expo -Receive a United States flag pin at check-in http://www.ncsi.com/eflyer11/fortirwin/index.html ACS: ANGEL TREE PROGRAM: The Angel Tree Program assists Families with making Christmas a little brighter for children ages newborn through 12 yrs old. In 2010, the Fort Irwin Community assisted 2,115 children so that they may find something special under the tree. If you are a Soldier or Family member in need of a little assistance, all applicants must be verified/approved by the Soldiers Commander, or First Sergeants. The leadership in each unit has the application necessary to participate. The Deadline is November 10, 2011. If you are donating, toys must be turned in at Bldg 548 by 1600 December 6, 2011. EXCEPTIONAL FAMILY MEMBER PROGRAM: The Autism, ADHD, and ADD support group will be offering a group discussion on "Behavior Strategies for Positive Parenting" on Nov. 4 from 1000-1100 at the Forum Bldg. 1200. Find Strategies for dealing with problem behavior, learn how to effectively communicate with your child, and set positive rules. For more information contact (760)380-3698.

CYSS: Youth sports enrollment is now open for the upcoming season for basketball, cheerleading and bowling. For more information call 380-2257 or 380-9350. SKIESUnlimited: Our new Zumbatomic! class starts November 8th. Zumbatomic! Is a high energy fitness class designed exclusively for kids (ages 415), classes are high-energy, containing specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines. Parents love ZumbatomicR because of the effects it has on kids, increasing their focus and self-confidence, boosting metabolism and enhancing coordination. Classes are on Tuesday and Thursday.
