This contest will come to you in 5 Rounds

Round 1 – Here are the rules


Most questions in this round require simple straight forward answers.
Some questions may require some explanations or more detailed answers.
You have 10 seconds to answer your major question, and your Answer must be
“one attempt only”, meaning that you cannot start one answer, and change it
to start a different answer.
If a team fails to answer their main question, I may pass the question on for a
bonus to the remaining teams.
The first team to ring their bell will have the opportunity to answer.

A correct answer to a main question is worth 3 Points
A correct answer to a bonus question is worth 1 Point
A wrong answer to a bonus question will cost you a deduction of 1 Point

should pray in our closet, or, not with the mindset of people seeing us

(ii) We should not pray with vain repetitions – empty heartless faithless
repetitions

12.Explain briefly, what Jesus taught concerning Treasures in Heaven and


Treasures on Earth

While Abraham stayed in the land of Canaan, a famine in the land made him
sojourn to Egypt. Answer the following questions with respect to his journey to
Egypt

16.What did Abram say to his wife before they entered Egypt?

Ans - “Indeed I know that you are a woman of beautiful


countenance. Therefore it will happen, when the Egyptians see you, that
they will say, ‘This is his wife’; and they will kill me, but they will let you

17.What happened when Abraham and Sarah got to the land of Egypt?

Ans - the Egyptians saw the woman, that she was very beautiful. The
princes of Pharaoh also saw her and commended her to Pharaoh. And
the woman was taken to Pharaoh’s house. He treated Abram well for
her sake. He had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male and female servants,
female donkeys, and camels.

ROUND 2 – the Speed Race


This is the speed race
Every question goes to all Teams, and each team must race to be the first to
answer.
If you believe you have an answer, you must ring the bell to be called
(let teams ring their bells again)
By the time you ring the bell, you must be ready with your answer else the
next Team to have rung will be given the opportunity to answer
For every question, the first to ring the bell who gets it right earns 3 Points
If the first to ring gets it wrong, the second to ring who gets it right earns 2
Points
If the first two teams get it wrong, the third team, if they rang, and got it right
will earn 1 point
For every incorrect answer given after ringing, you will earn a deduction of 1
Point
A Team is not obliged to ring the bell and answer, if they are not sure of the
answer

1. What in the Bible is referred to as the “Finished Work”?

Ans – The crucifixion, death, burial, (making alive), resurrection, ascension,


seating at the right hand, and coming into us – of Jesus

2. How should believers identify with the “Finished Work”?

Ans – Believe that our old man died with Jesus on the cross, was buried with
Jesus, and raised with Jesus as a New Creation, and that we are seated
together with Jesus at the right hand of The Father

3. A tree is found and majority of the fruits on the tree are bad. What does this
say about the tree?

Ans - It's a bad tree. A good tree (Trunk/inside) does not bear bad fruit. By
their fruits you shall know what tree they are made of.

4. In Capernaum, a man run to Jesus and pleaded with Him to heal his servant
who was paralyzed at home and dreadfully tormented
Who was this man, and what ensued between Jesus and him?

Ans – He was a Centurion. Jesus offered to go to his house to heal his servant,
but the man answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come
under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I
also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this
one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my
servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed,
“Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the
kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and
gnashing of teeth.” Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you
have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that
same hour.

5. What did Jesus say about those who hear His words and do them?

Ans - He likened them to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And it
survived the rains, the floods and the storm (matthew)

6. The name LAMECH appears twice in the Book of Genesis but they have
different Fathers. What are the names of their fathers?

Ans – Enoch, son of Cain. He was the first grandson (of Adam) to be named in
the Bible

8. Abraham interceded for the Lord to spare Sodom and Gomorrah if a certain
number of righteous persons were found in the land. Mention the numbers he
pleaded for, from the highest to the lowest in their order.

9. What exactly was the sin of the daughters of Lot?

Ans - They "deceived themselves" that there was no man again on earth, and
that the only way they could preserve their father's seed was to lie with him.
They employed incest, rape and the sodomy trick of intoxicating their dad and
lied with him one after the other over 2 days. And they got impregnated by
their father, both of them, which they knew was not acceptable to God.

10. What was the seal of the covenant between God and Abraham?

Ans - Jacob means cheater/deceiver/supplanter, Israel means Triumphant with
God/fighter of God/wrestled with God

15. Marah and Elim are two places the people of Israel passed in their Journey
from Egypt to the Promised Land. What striking difference can you describe of
these two places?

Ans – Marah is first place they found water in the Wilderness of Shur, after
they passed through the Red Sea. However, the water of Marah was bitter.
They murmured against Moses and he cried on The Lord who showed him a
tree which he cast into the waters, and the waters were made sweet

Elim, however, is the next place they journeyed to from Marah. Elim had
twelve wells of water and 70 palm trees.

16. Name the three items which were contained in the Ark of The Covenant

Ans – (i) The Golden Pot that had manna, (ii) Aaron’s rod that budded (iii) The
tablets of the Covenant

In this round, there are Four Riddles

A set of clues will be read out to all Teams on each riddle, and you have
to draw my attention on your readiness to answer, by ringing your bell
(let teams ring their bells again)
The first to answer rightly wins the points for that riddle
A riddle solved on the first clue is worth 5 points, and on the second clue
4 Points
A riddle solved on the third or any other number of clues will be worth 3
points
If a team wrongly answers a riddle, you will be out of that particular
riddle until the next

2nd Riddle

iii. In my first mention in the Bible, I was used to smear blood


on the top and sides of doorframes

iv. In Leviticus, God commanded His people to use me in the


cleansing of people and houses

v. I was used together with cedar wood, scarlet yarn, and the
blood of a clean bird to sprinkle a person recently healed
from a skin disease

vi. King David even acknowledged my cleansing abilities, and


mentioned me in his prayers of consecration.

viii. I am that plant whose branch carried the sour wine


offered to our master Jesus, when He asked for water on the

i. I am a Patriarch who lived prior to Noah's flood

this earth.

iii. My son is also known to have reached a milestone that


could not be attained by any other person on this earth.

iv. I am often the first mention in any teaching about walking


with God.

v. But if you want me to talk in the natural, I am the first


record of a missing dad in the Bible
