Europe Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Germany :- Explore Frankfurt

Arrive at Frankfurt via Flight at Frankfurt Am Main Airport, and check into your hotel Hotel
Zeil in the city center.Begin your exploration of Frankfurt at the Römer, the historic town
hall square. Admire the medieval architecture and visit the Römer Museum.
Enjoy a traditional German meal at a local restaurant. Try dishes like schnitzel, sausages, or
a hearty potato soup. Visit St. Bartholomew's Cathedral, a stunning Gothic church with a
towering spire. Climb to the top for panoramic views of the city.Explore the Goethe House,
where the famous writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was born. Learn about his life and
work.

Head to the Sachsenhausen district for dinner. This area is known for its apple wine
(Ebbelwoi) taverns and traditional German cuisine.

Day 2: Christmas Eve in Dusseldorf via Frankfurt:- Cruise On the Rhine, Strolling in
Streets and Visiting Cologne in Dusseldorf

Depart from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station) to Düsseldorf


Hauptbahnhof.Arrive in Düsseldorf.Enjoy exploring Düsseldorf's Christmas markets, such
as the one at Marktplatz, Schadowplatz, or in front of the Schloss Benrath.Visit
attractions like the Rheinturm (Rhine Tower), Altstadt (Old Town), and Königsallee
shopping street.

Cruise on the Rhine. Romantic route. Today we will see the valleys of the Rhine and
Mosel, two rivers loaded with history and sprinkled with charming villages. We take a short
cruise on the Rhine, between the villages of RUDESHEIM and ST. GOAR, undoubtedly the
most picturesque section of the river. Then we will go on to the river Mosel, and will have
time for lunch in COCHEM, a very picturesque village on the bank of the river. After that,
we travel to BONN, city of music where Beethoven and Schumann lived. Time to stroll in
the former capital of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the afternoon we will arrive in
COLOGNE, time for a stroll in the busy area of the cathedral before going on to our hotel in
DUSSELDORF. Note: On dates with trade fairs or congresses, accommodation may be
given in a nearby city.

Experience the festive atmosphere at various markets around the city. Enjoy mulled wine,
local food specialties, and shop for unique gifts.Wander through the historic Old Town with
its charming streets, traditional pubs, and historic buildings.Head up the Rheinturm for a
panoramic view of the city. If time permits, catch the sunset for a stunning sight.Stroll down
this famous shopping boulevard, known for its luxury boutiques and designer stores.Treat
yourself to traditional German cuisine at local restaurants or try regional specialties at
various eateries in the city center.

Check out from the hotel and head to the next journey Denmark , via train. Travel from
Dusseldorf towards Flensburg.The train ride from Dusseldorf to Flensburg takes around 6
hours.

Day 3: Christmas Day in Flensburg:- Spending the day and doing christmas activities

Check into the hotel Hotel Em Fjord and Start your day by Celebrating Christmas Day be
a wonderful experience with various activities and attractions to explore.

Explore the maritime history of the region, including ship models, navigation equipment,
and exhibits related to seafaring.Enjoy an interactive science center with hands-on exhibits
and experiments suitable for all ages.Wander through the charming streets of Flensburg's
Altstadt (Old Town), filled with historic buildings, cobblestone streets, and unique shops.

Enjoy a walk along the Flensburg Fjord, offering scenic views and a relaxing atmosphere.
There might be boat tours available if weather permits.Sample traditional northern German
cuisine and local specialties at restaurants or cafes in Flensburg. Try dishes like Labskaus or
Finkenwerder Scholle (a type of fish dish).Explore local markets or shops in the town center
for unique souvenirs or regional products.Check out from the hotel and move on to the next
destination via bus.

Day 4:-Sightseeing In Aarhus

Check into the accomodation Hotel Atlantic.Start your day by exploring Aarhus Cathedral
(Aarhus Domkirke), an impressive Gothic-style church dating back to the 12th century.
Admire the architecture and the interior of this historic landmark.Wander through the
charming Latin Quarter (Latinerkvarteret), known for its narrow streets, boutiques, cafes,
and galleries. Enjoy the lively atmosphere and perhaps stop for a coffee at a local café.

Spend time at ARoS Aarhus Art Museum. Explore contemporary art exhibitions and don't
miss the iconic "Your Rainbow Panorama" on the rooftop, offering panoramic views of the
city.

Head to Aarhus Street Food, located in an old bus terminal. Enjoy a variety of international
dishes offered by different vendors. It's a great spot for lunch with diverse food
options.Explore Den Gamle By, an open-air museum showcasing Danish culture and history
through reconstructed historical buildings. Experience life in Denmark from different eras.

Enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants in the city center. Sample Danish cuisine or
international dishes at one of Aarhus' eateries.Take a leisurely evening stroll around the city
center, soak in the atmosphere, and perhaps discover some hidden gems or festive
decorations.

Day 5: Arrival in Norway

Check out from the hotel in Denmark .The journey from Aarhus to Kristiansand alone by
train is around 5-6 hours, not accounting for potential waiting times at border crossings or
ferry terminals. Additionally, reaching Stavanger from Kristiansand takes several more

Explore the charming cobblestone streets, wooden houses, and historical buildings in the
old part of the city. This area offers a glimpse into the town's past.Head to the harbor area to
see Christiansholm Fortress, an old military fortification. Take a walk around the fort and
enjoy the views of the surrounding coastline.Spend some time at Dyreparken, one of
Norway's most popular attractions. This park combines a zoo featuring Nordic and exotic
animals with an amusement park offering rides and entertainment for all ages.

Day 6 - Sightseeing In Stavanger and Bergen by visiting some of the mesmerizing


historical places
Check out from the hotel in Kristiansund, Take an early morning train or a flight from
Kristiansand to Stavanger. Flight duration is around 40-50 minutes, while the train journey
could take around 4-5 hours. Check into the hotel in Stavanger in St Svithun Hotel.
Spend around 4-5 hours exploring some of Stavanger's highlights.
Arrival to STAVANGER, a small picturesque town that has an active port by the fjord.
Note: Ferry operation hours vary depending on the months. Sometimes it is normally
reserved to have lunch on the boat.Visit the charming Old Town (Gamle Stavanger) with
its white wooden houses, narrow streets, and museums.
Consider visiting the Stavanger Cathedral, Petroleum Museum, or take a stroll along the
harbor to see the famous Vågen inlet.Take an afternoon train or flight from Stavanger to
Bergen. The flight is approximately 30-40 minutes, while the train ride could take around 7
hours with a change of trains.
Upon arrival in Bergen in the late afternoon or evening, settle into your accommodation and
unwind after a day of travel. Beautiful fjord and sea landscapes. Funicular trip to mount
Floyen.Upon leaving the city, we will stop at the ‘Swords in Rock’ monument, where we
will be reminded of the Vikings, before continuing the very beautiful scenic tour. We follow
the route going through tunnels, bridges and travel some stretches by boat to go along the
fjord coast of Norway. One of its undersea tunnels is the deepest one in the world. This
stage gets more relaxed and spectacular with its two boat trips. We will arrive in BERGEN
at lunch time. We take a funicular trip to Mount Fløyen which offers amazing views of the
town and Bergen fjord. There will be some leisure time later to enjoy the capital city of
fjords.

Day 7 – Arrival In Oslo Via Bergen


The train journey from Bergen to Oslo is scenic and takes around 6-7 hours. The Bergen
Railway offers beautiful views of Norway's landscapes, including mountains, valleys, and
fjords. Spectacular scenery of mountains and fjords. Cruise. More fantastic landscapes
today, images of Norway’s interior region fjords, glaciers, lakes and forests. We will travel
to SOGNEFJORD, Norway’s largest fjord. Prior to arrival, we will stop at the beautiful
TVINDEFOSSEN waterfall. We will take a magnificent cruise between the cities of
GUDVANGEN and FLAM;
Enjoy stunning landscapes during this two-hour voyage. We continue our journey crossing
magnificent snow-covered landscapes. We travel through Lærdal Tunnel, one of the longest
in the world. Next, a visit to BORGUND’s 12th century wooden church (entrance included)
which is considered Norway’s best-preserved medieval church. We arrive in OSLO with
free time to check out its port, main streets, and the artworks at Frognerparken. Consider
visiting Oslo's landmarks like the Royal Palace, Vigeland Sculpture Park, Oslo Opera
House, or exploring the Aker Brygge area for dining and shopping.
Day 8 – Wanderlusting In Tromsø To Enjoy the masterpieces such as Northern Lights
and have some more leisure time in exploring Norway
Check out from the accommodation in Bergen.Arrive in Tromsø, via flight from Bergen,
known as the "Gateway to the Arctic." Check into your accommodation and rest after your
journey.
Explore Tromsø during the day. Visit attractions like the Tromsø Cathedral, Tromsø Bridge,
Polaria (Arctic Aquarium), and the Arctic Cathedral.Consider booking an excursion for
husky sledding or reindeer sledding during the daytime.In the evening, embark on a guided
Northern Lights tour outside the city, away from light pollution. Tour operators provide
expert guidance to find the best spots to witness the Aurora Borealis.
Participate in daytime outdoor activities such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or
visiting local museums or cultural centers.In the evening, go on another guided Northern
Lights tour. Tour operators often offer multiple attempts to chase the Northern Lights during
your stay.If you haven't seen the Northern Lights yet, consider booking a final excursion
before your departure. Many tours offer a "second chance" to see the Aurora if it wasn't
visible on previous nights.Depart from Tromsø or your designated departure city.
Tips for Northern Lights Viewing:
Optimal Time: The best time to see the Northern Lights in Norway is typically from late
September to early April when the nights are dark and clear.
Weather Conditions: Keep an eye on weather forecasts. Clear, dark nights away from city
lights offer the best visibility.
Patience and Flexibility: Seeing the Northern Lights depends on solar activity and weather
conditions. Be patient and flexible with your schedule, as multiple attempts may be needed
to witness this natural spectacle.
Camera Preparation: Bring a camera with manual settings to capture the Aurora. Learn
how to adjust settings for low-light photography in advance.

Day 9:- New Year Eve in Orebro, Stockholm


Check into the hotel Start your morning with Exploring Örebro's city center and join locals
in the celebrations. The main square might host outdoor events, live music, and a festive
atmosphere.Many restaurants and bars in Örebro offer special New Year's Eve menus or
parties. Consider making reservations in advance to enjoy dinner or festivities. Impressive
scenery with mountains, forests and lakes.We include a sightseeing tour with a local guide
of the Norwegian capital; this city combines its vibrant modern architecture with its
classical buildings, magnificent scenery and large parks with sculptures. It has been
nominated the "European green capital"
Visit Örebro Castle, which might have special events or be illuminated for the occasion. The
castle area might offer great views of any fireworks displays.
Get back to the hotel for dinner.
Day 10:- New Year Celebration In Stockholm

Spend the day exploring Stockholm's attractions such as the Royal Palace, Gamla Stan (Old
Town), Djurgården Island, or museums like the Vasa Museum or Skansen. Stockholm
sightseeing.Today we take a panoramic tour of this very beautiful capital city built on 13
islands joined together. We will see the Gamla Stand or the “City between the Bridges”, the
old quarter of the city, full of life where there are many monumental buildings such as the
Nobel Museum, alongside the main square of Stortorget, which pays tribute to the winners of
the Nobel Prizes, the Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Whenever possible, we will enjoy a
pretty view from the Fjällgatan viewpoint. Then leisure time. We recommend visiting the
museums and parks. Optionally, we suggest a visit to the City Hall and to the Vasa museum.

Make reservations in advance.Head to Skansen, one of the prime locations for New Year's
Eve celebrations. The museum hosts a festive event with live music, entertainment,
fireworks, and a countdown to midnight.Join the crowds in various squares or streets in the
city center, such as Sergels Torg or Norrmalmstorg, where there might be live music, outdoor
gatherings, and a vibrant atmosphere.New Year's Eve cruise to see in the new year while
cruising around Stockholm's archipelago. These cruises often include dinner, live music, and
a fantastic view of fireworks.

Experience the stunning fireworks display at the stroke of midnight. Best viewpoints might
include Skansen, Monteliusvägen (a scenic viewpoint), or other vantage points around the
city.After midnight, continue the celebration at clubs, bars, or parties in the city. Many
venues offer special New Year's Eve events that last until the early hours.

Day 11: Departure

Depending on your departure time, you may have some free time to do some last-minute
shopping or visit any attractions you missed.
