the school, and even at home.

These are some common legal interventions:

•Juvenile court proceedings: They would rather rehabilitate the minors than punish them.

CHAPTER II. LITERATURE REVIEW

A. CAUSES OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY

Local Studies:
Based on Endrolin (Dec. 2013) In their examination found that more recent law termed offenders such
as Children In the Conflict Law (CICL) have a strong influence proof that the minor crimes in the
Philippines today involve enactment by the legislature of Republic Act No.9344. The increase seen in
the prevalence of juvenile delinquency is explained by having negative interpersonal relations and the
relationship with one's surroundings accompanied by Urbanization.

Foreign Studies:
Research findings show that the cases of crimes and the behavior are associated with minors. The
consequences of juvenile delinquency can lead to sentences of rehabilitation through those who are
minors committed crimes due to poverty, lack of communication skills, family problems, and
psychological barriers. The causes of the condition as stated by Professor David Farrington (may
1994) are classified based on decreasing the juvenile delinquency and prevention.

B. EFFECTS OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY

Foreign Studies
Juvenile delinquency is intimately connected to sexual activities, drug use, gang involvement, etc. All
these hurt the community because they make the community unsafe, and they also led the government
to spend colossal sums of money in school for protection and law enforcement.

Local Studies
It is based on four factors: family, environment, school activities, and other departments of agencies in
the government. This factor is pushing or never pushes the youth to engage in law breaking activities.
The four qualities are the main cause of juvenile delinquents, and juveniles may have Economic
Consequences in the Philippines.
