Guidelines for Students Appearing in Semester Exams

Dear students,

In light of the increasing cases of personation, cheating via phones, and other unfair means during semester exams,
we would like to emphasize the importance of maintaining academic integrity and ensuring a fair examination
environment. Effective immediately, we have implemented additional guidelines to strengthen the examination
process. We request all students to adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Exam Slip: Please ensure that you bring your exam slip for every paper. The exam slip contains essential
information such as the course name, date, time, and venue of the exam. It serves as a verification document
and allows the invigilators to identify you as a registered student for that specific examination.

2. Student ID Card: It is mandatory to bring your valid student ID card to every examination. The ID card
serves as proof of your enrollment in the educational institution and helps maintain the integrity of the
examination process. It will be checked by the invigilators to verify your identity.

3. CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card): In addition to your student ID card, please bring your
original CNIC to every paper. This requirement aims to further strengthen the identification process and
reduce the chances of personation. The invigilators may ask to verify your identity using your CNIC.

4. Mobile Phones and Electronic Devices: Mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, or any other electronic
devices are strictly prohibited during the examination. Please ensure that you do not bring any such devices
into the examination hall. If found with any electronic device, it will be considered a violation of the exam
regulations and may lead to severe penalties.

5. Stationery and Examination Materials: Bring the necessary stationery items such as pens and writing
boards and any other materials required for the examination. Borrowing or lending of stationery during the
examination is not permitted, so please ensure you have all the required items in advance. Do not write
with pencils on your answer copies or question papers. Instead use permanent ball points or pointers
to write your answer on the answer book only.

6. Punctuality: Arrive at the examination venue at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
Latecomers may not be allowed to enter the examination hall, leading to the loss of valuable examination
time. It is your responsibility to manage your time effectively to reach the examination venue on time.

7. Academic Integrity: Remember that cheating, using unauthorized materials, or engaging in any form of
academic misconduct is strictly prohibited. The examination is designed to assess your knowledge and
understanding of the course material. Violations of academic integrity can result in disciplinary actions,
including invalidation of your exam results or even suspension from the institution.

We urge all students to take these guidelines seriously and understand the importance of maintaining a fair
examination environment. Cheating not only undermines your own learning but also devalues the efforts of
those who have studied honestly. Let us uphold the values of academic integrity and strive for excellence in
our educational journey.

Wishing you the best of luck for your remaining papers.

Sincerely,

Ghulam Saqib Buriro
