During the 2nd semester holiday, when I was taking a course in Pare Kediri, my traveling friends
and I decided to go on an exciting adventure to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park without
staying overnight. We know that one day may not be enough to explore all the beauty of Bromo,
but we want to make it an unforgettable
experience. Apart from that, visiting Bromo
is one of the places I want to look forward to.
Before traveling to Bromo, I prepared all the
things I had to bring, such as a jacket because
it was very cold in Bromo, then I also
prepared snacks to stave off hunger. After
confirming that all the items have been
entered. I left the room and met my friend,
after that we went to the front of the camp to
wait for the car and group of men.
We started our journey at around 20.00 at
night from the city of Kediri. With big smiles
on our faces, we started our journey to
Bromo using the car we rented. One car
contains around 20 children. The cool night
air greeted us, and we started our journey full
of enthusiasm, accompanied by lively chatter
and lots of laughter. A four hour journey full
of stories brought us to the entrance to
Bromo National Park. There, we rented a
jeep to take us to the top of Penanjakan, the
perfect place to watch the sunrise over Bromo. While enjoying the beautiful sunrise, we also ate
meatballs which kept our bodies warm because it felt very cold. And don't forget to capture
moments of togetherness. After the sunrise had disappeared we continued our journey by jee car.
Through challenging roads, our jeep glides through the darkness, heading for heights that will
provide spectacular views. Traveling by jeep is an enjoyable experience because of the
challenging terrain. The gentle breeze and darkness of the night make the adventure even more
exciting.
Arriving at the top of Penanjakan, we watched the still dark sky slowly turn into a colorful
painting from orange, pink, to sky blue. The real surprise was when the sun slowly appeared
behind the mountains. Wispy clouds danced, and we, along with other people, silently admired
the beauty of nature that cannot be described in words. The cold air in the morning made us
huddle together, but the excitement of seeing the sky changing color warmed our hearts. Sunrise
on Bromo is truly stunning, with the silhouette of
the mountains and the sea of clouds stretching in the
distance.
After experiencing the magic of the sunrise, our
journey continued towards the crater of Mount
Bromo. We got out of the jeep and continued our
journey on foot through the sea of sand and past the
stairs that lead to the crater rim. And we also
immortalized rare moments by taking pictures and
taking photos together. The smell of sulfur and the
sound of the gentle breeze made us feel like we
were in another world. Not only satisfied with
looking from above, we decided to go down into the
crater. Descending the steep steps, we attempted to
capture every unique moment and beauty around us.
Being at the bottom of the Bromo crater provides a
different perspective and makes our experience even
more profound.
After exploring the crater, we took the next step towards the sea of sand that stretches wide
around Bromo. Some of us chose to experience horseback riding, while others chose to walk.
The soft white sand beneath our feet provided a unique sensation, and joyful laughter could be
heard among us. As the sun got higher in the sky, we decided to return to Kediri. The journey
home was full of stories and laughter, while views of mountains and green rice fields through the
car window added depth to our journey. Back in Kediri, we decided to end the day with dinner
together at one of the local stalls. Around a table full of delicious dishes, we shared stories,
laughed and reminisced about every wonderful moment of our trip to Bromo.
Even though it was only for a day, our adventure to Bromo left unforgettable memories. From
the beauty of the sunrise at the top of Penanjakan to the warmth at the bottom of the Bromo
crater, every moment has formed a deep experience for us. More than just a tourist destination,
Bromo has become a witness to the strong bonds of friendship between us, combining natural
beauty and the warmth of friendship in one unforgettable story.
Bromo, with all its charm, has presented us with magical sunrise views, a crater filled with
mystery, and a sea of sand that is so soft under our feet. However, the natural beauty is only a
small part of the happiness we feel. More than that, Bromo is a witness to the journey of our
friendship which is increasingly strengthening. While contemplating, we looked at each other
and smiled. Words seem unable to express all the feelings that occurred in that one day. Just with
laughter, stories, and glances, we could feel how valuable this adventure was to us.
In the end, Bromo is not just about mountains, sand or stunning sunrises. Bromo is about the
small moments that blossom at every step of our journey. It's about the joyful laughter that
echoes in the in the jeep, about the steep stairs we conquered together, and about the laughter at
night. As the waves slowly recede, we
realize that our Bromo adventure may be
over, but the memories and friendships
we brought home will live on. Bromo has
provided an unforgettable story, making
one day feel like the adventure of a
lifetime. We stood, held each other's
hands tightly, and felt grateful to have
gone on this incredible adventure with
our best friends. If there's one thing we
learned from today, it's that true happiness lies in moments with the people we love. And for
that, we are grateful to Bromo, which has become a witness and stage for a story of friendship
that will continue to develop over time.
