Tata company capitalizes on core competency in its attempts to deal with increasing

demand in the market. According to Buckley et al. (2020), Tata company is so competitive and

active that it is always trying to stay up to date and evolve to stay competitive with other

companies in the same industry. Research and development play a crucial role in enabling the

company to know about any new things they may need to adopt and why the company has more

than 100 scientists to assist in various research activities. Its core competency can be based on its

ability to produce efficient vehicles at a very low price. The other core competency can be

expansion, acquisition, and mergers.

The company has done the necessary research on merging and conjoining markets

locally and internationally. The company has acquired Daewoo, jaguar, and land rover, which

has enhanced its entry into the luxury car market through various research and development.

Tata's reasoning for acquiring emerging countries for exporting seems viable and logical

since the company has come up with a clear outline plan. The company considers things like the

target audience within these countries in an attempt to analyze the existing competition in the

market. The company needs to be able to deal with any constraints likely to occur and other

regulations. The company’s focus on emerging countries that seem to have few markets is so

viable since these markets have lower chances and risks of failure. The viability of the Tata plan

comes about in that the company will have sufficient time to explore this foreign market before

investing (Kumar & Hallur 2020). Local employees can play a crucial role in assisting the

company in exploring this market, thus investing accordingly.

Hi, Tata company has been able to perform well in India due to its various core competencies,

which it can still utilize in exports to other countries. The company believes in research and

development that why it has been able to invest in scientists to help in research activities. I add to

the discussion that the Tata company can produce high-quality vehicles at an affordable price.

The company is considering emerging countries as potential future markets, and there is a need

for it to consider any constraints or regulations within these countries.

reply two

Hi, some of the core competencies that can enable Tata company to be successful globally

include its ability to produce efficient, affordable vehicles and carry out necessary market

research. I add the opinion that as the company target new emerging countries with a potential

future market, there is a need for it to consider the target audience within these countries, and it

is also good for it to take time to explore the new market.
