In a crowded marketplace like the City Public Market in General Santos City, it's a
challenge for a small business selling consumer goods to stand out. But with smart tactics
and unique selling points (USPs), you can draw customers to your store. One way is by
giving shoppers a personalized experience. Unlike big stores, you can get to know your
customers and suggest products they'll like. For example, if a regular customer always
buys organic snacks, you can recommend new options when they visit.

One way to attract customers is by offering personalized service. While bigger

stores focus on speed and convenience, your smaller business can provide a more
personal touch. By getting to know your customers and suggesting products tailored to
their needs, you can build loyalty and make your store different from the rest. For instance,
if your store sells homemade sweets from a nearby bakery or handcrafted jewelry from
local artisans, customers may choose your store over bigger ones that don't offer such
items.

Highlighting locally made and specialty products can also help set your store apart.
People care more about sustainability and supporting local businesses these days. By
showcasing items unique to General Santos City and locally crafted goods, you can offer
something special and support the community.

Investing in great customer service is another way to stand out. In a competitive

market, good service can make a big difference. If your staff are friendly, helpful, and
know their stuff, customers will be more likely to come back. Offering extras like home
delivery or personal shopping assistance can make the experience even better and keep
customers coming back. Lastly, great customer service can make a big difference. When
shoppers feel welcomed and helped, they're more likely to come back. You can train your
staff to be friendly and knowledgeable, and offer helpful services like home delivery. For
instance, if a customer needs help finding a specific item, your staff can assist them and
offer to bring it to their house if it's not in stock at the moment.
