I love London! Reading comprehension - Diary

Saturday 18th July

Dear Diary,

Do you know how exciting London is?

We went on a train underground. It was dark and hot in the tunnel. We

came back up to the busy street. We were by the River Thames.

We walked along and saw Big Ben. The tower is so tall.

The bell chimed. Then we went on the London Eye.
It was a great view from the top. I thought it would be
scary but it was not. I could see the whole of London!

Next we went on a boat. We went under Tower Bridge. It was

grey and blue. We got off the boat. We saw the Crown
Jewels in the Tower of London. They were so sparkly.

We went back on the underground train. We had a tasty picnic in a

park. Then we saw
Buckingham Palace.
It was so big. The Queen lives there.
The guards wear black furry hats.
They looked funny.

We are going to do some more exploring tomorrow. I cannot wait!
