opportunities
• Children lack the necessary life skills
• Parents and children are engaged in vices like alcohol, drugs, smoking
and gambling
• Dysfunctional families
• Addiction to online games and/or excessive use of gadgets
• Children lacks life skills
• Exposure to domestic violence
• Exposure to pornographic videos and materials
• Families lacks knowledge and understanding on the impact of
violence and abuse to the children
• Not aware of rights of children
Community Side • People in the community condemn the children instead of guiding or
advising them
• Limited and not sustainable services for children
• Children are influenced by bad peers in the barangay
• Inadequate programs and services at the barangay level
• Children are not involved in planning, implementation, monitoring
and evaluation
