RECAP:
God used the people He created to write the Bible.
The Bible is a history book. The Bible has poems and
letters promises about the future. The Bible tells
about who God is, what His plans are and why He
created us. In our true story today, God describes
himself to His people. These things are still true of
God today!
REFERENCE:
Exodus 34:1-9

Is he good or bad?
Does He love us?
Does he get angry easily?

RECAP:
The story today tells of how God shows love. The best
example of how to love others the way God wants is to
look at Jesus’ example. In the true story for today, Jesus
noticed and included someone that everyone else didn’t
like. They all had good reasons to not like this man, but
Jesus showed him love and respect and gave him a
chance.

REFERENCE:
Luke 19:1-10

RECAP:
The story today is a specific example of how a child
can use the blessings, gifts and power that God gives
them to help serve others. When kids follow Jesus
they get a full portion of the Holy Spirit- not a kid
sized portion! The kid in our story used his power to
serve and to be hospitable.

REFERENCE:
John 6:1-14

REVIEW:
How important was the kid in the story? How did his
choices make a big difference?
How can you/ kids like you do powerful things?

RECAP:
The story today tells of people that encountered
Jesus and made a big choice to follow Him. Jesus
is fully God and fully a man. He is real. The
miracles He did really happened. He came to
rescue people that are separated from God because
of sin. Jesus took our sin consequence and proved
that He has the power to save.

REFERENCE:
Luke 5:1-11

REVIEW:
What miracle happened in this story? What other
miracles do you know that Jesus did?
How do you choose to let Jesus rescue you?

RECAP:
The story today tells of the first time the Holy Spirit comes to
fill God’s people with power. Since this time, whenever
someone decides to let Jesus rescue them the Holy Spirit fills
them immediately. Each believer gets the same Holy Spirit.
Each believer gets power and access to God. Each believer
has a purpose and a job to do for God’s Kingdom!

REFERENCE:
Acts 2:1-12

REVIEW:
How do we know that it was a God thing that happened, and
not just people being weird?
What ways has God gifted you? What are you good at? What
might your spiritual gifts be?
