How To Survived From Brake Failure

This topic is based on my experience that have been survived from brake failure accident. Let
me tell my story first :D

I am second grade semester from one of Tourism University in Bandung, Indonesia. I took
the Hotel Management Study Programme. In My Study Programme has a unique culture that
we have to take care our friends, no one left behind and make a strong solidarity. So if there's
our friend that have sick or problem, we must help them. And also treat our classmate like
family. So we bonding and make everyone in class close with us.

One day our classmate have an accident for fall from motorcycle, Her name is Wawa. She
fall from motorcycle with his friend because she's in hurry to bring something for her
boyfriend. But unfortuneatly she ride too fast and fall because she was sudden brake at the
traffic light. She got wound in her legs and arms but only scratched. Then she's not attend to
class for a couple days.

Because we're a student with high solidarity hhe, we're gonna visit wawa to her house to
check her condition. So we went to Wawa's house with four of my friends and me. But we
only bring two matic motorcycles, so in one motor Bemo with Bara and I with the girls, Ntin
and Lase. We went to Wawa's house in afternoon and we bought some fruit on the way we go
to Wawa's house.

After we arrived at Wawa's house, we check her condition and she was okay but only need
rest for a couple days. Her mom cooked for us and we're eat together. She telling us about her
accident and we're also made a tiktok videos together :D. We're just having fun with Wawa
until night. And then we are going home. But Bemo have plan to visit a cafe that have a
beautiful citylight view.

So we're going to the cafe for chill drink fresh milk and coffe while seeing citylight view.
The road to go there is very extreme, its about to 145 degrees uphill road with a ravine on the
side. But there's still many people house and building. Long story short, we arrived at the cafe
and chilling there with coffee and freshmilk with the view. Its so cold there because the place
is in high land in the edge of the hill. After finish, we're gonna back to home but unwanted
things will happen.

We're ridding home in the middle of the night at 11.30 PM. In 5 to 10 minutes nothing
happened and everything was okay. But suddenly my left brake has malfunction. The right
brake is still function so I'll slowing down my motor. But not long time, my both brake was
have malfunction and we're going down really fast. I'm trying to not panic when I see the
Speedometer is touching more than 100 Km/H. The girls behind me was screaming and
praying to Jesus, but I can't join to scream with them because I'm Muslim :'). So I'm thinking
really hard and made a thousand probbability what will happend if I landing this motor on the
wrong place, I can feel if i could be dead that time, but I still don't wanna die at young age. I
bring someone with me so I'm very responsible for they soul.
I keep finding place to land safely, it's okay if we got hurt and my motor will broken, at least
we're not die that day. I see a car going down in front of me, and I'm thinking that I can hit
the car for stopping us. But Its more dangerous and more risk also after I hit the car I have to
pay for the damage. so I overtook the car and jumping with high speed. I try to stay on the
road while finding safe spot to land. Afterwhile I see the land spot for brake failure but
behind that is a wall. Come on its a bad joke bro, if I hit the spot land and bounce over with
high speed and hit the wall. Its a 100 percent I will die instantly :'D. But I see the railing
fence beside that. And I prefer hit that because behind the fence is broad enough.

With full focus and my last hope, I pray for our safe and with all my braveness I aim my
motor to the fence. And Boom We're hitting the fence with high speed and stopped at railing
fence and make a loud sound. My front motor is totaly tearing apart, my hand was pierced by
the iron fence and my legs stuck inside the fence. Ntin got wound on her eyelids and
unbelieveble nothing happened with Lase. She's totaly fine, no wounds, no damage taken.
People that hear our accident start to helping us.

I'm crying when I see my motorbike was completely destroyed and seeing ntin like dying. I
can't feel anything, everything like slowing down. But luckly there's a doctor, he give us first
aid and calling ambulance. And we went to hospital to get medical treatment. I got 14 stitches
and Ntin don't want to have stitches. My motor is brought by police. And that was my almost
die story :D

You guys can take a lesson from this incident and have to know this is can be happen to you
also and you have to realize that this incident is very often happend. So I'm gonna tell you
How To Survived from Brake Filure Accident.

First of all you have to know "Whats that cause Brake Failure". Overheating is one of the
primary factors that leads to brake damage and eventual failure. Over time, brakes become
worn down, and it's recommended that brake pads, brake rotors, and brake fluid be monitored
and changed as needed. Loss of brake fluid is another reason brakes may fade and fail.

I'll give you tips to prevent brake failure. There's one way to prevent brake failure and you
only needs a bottle of water. We're known that one of cause is overheating brake, if you see
on your bike wheels there's brake disc. When you going down and brake your bike the brake
disc will be heat and when it overheat it will cause the brake failure. So make sure if you
going downhill, you can wait for the disc temperature to decrease first, if the temperature has
dropped enough you can use clean water to speed up cooling. Find the safe place to stop.
Usually in places prone to brake failure people also provide place with water to cooling down
your brake disk and also they made landing spot for brake failure. But you guys also need to
prepare if you wanna go to high ground place. Then, carry out regular checks to find out the
cause of overheating. You can check it once a year or every time you replace the brake pads.
You can also check the thickness of the disc plate.
