If you walk along the streets of VN, you will be attracted to an array

of amazing smells from the street food all around you. One famous
street food that is not only popular in the country but also attracts a lot
of tourists around the world is Banh xeo.
Banh xeo is a crispy, stuffed rice pancake which is popular in VN .
The name refers to the sound of the rice batter makes when it is
poured into the hot skillet. It is a savoury fried pancake made of rice
flour, water, and turmeric powder. It can also be called a Vietnamese
crêpe. Some common fillings include pork, prawns, diced green onion,
mung bean, and bean sprouts. Banh xeo is also served with lettuce,
mint, Asian basil.

The ingredients for the rice batter are 450g of pre-mixed powder, 2 ¼
cups of cold water, a pinch of salt, 2 spring onions and an egg. And for
the filling you will need 500g of pork belly, some prawns and a handful
of bean sprouts.
In almost every Vietnamese dishes, dipping sauce has become an
indispensable part. And the same goes for Banh xeo, the dipping
sauce is like a catalyst that enhances the flavor of the dish. To make
the dipping sauce, you need 2 tablespoons of fish sauce,2
tablespoons of water, 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice, 2 tablespoons
of granulated sugar, 2 garlic cloves and 2 red Thai chilies.
