During 2023 I took on an interim ward manager position whilst
convering for 3 months of the ward’s manager’s absence. This
involved me undertaking investigations to complaints, carrying out
Quality Walk Rounds and additional audits and representing the
ward within site’s Clinical Governance.
I am particularly proud that during my time on Walter Ward I
have contributed to the recruitment and retention of staff,
improvement of patient feedback and was nominated for
Employee of the Month.

I have been a PMVA trainer within The Priory since 2017 and in
2021was successful in a Regional role under Priory’s new training
programme; RRIT. This has involved me supporting the current
accreditation process under the Restraint Reduction Network.
This role additionally involves me providing supervision to site
level RRIT trainers and supporting other sites with their training
needs when identified.

Working for International Search and Rescue Missions on behalf
of the Civil Protection Mechanism inside of the European Union.
This involved me providing post-disaster humanitarian support;
assessing and evaluating the risk of teams entering disaster
sites. During this time, I carried out my risk assessment role in
international missions including earthquakes (notably Haiti in
2010 and Turkey in 2011), major fires and flooding.
Military Psychologist – Specialist Officer
Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Bucharest, 2015-2016
A psychology role again supporting firefighters within the
Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.
During my time in this role, I completed a train-the-trainer
course in Psychological First Aid and applied this by rolling this
out as a mandatory course for Emergency Service personnel.
Chief of Mission and Interventions Coordination
Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Bucharest, 2014-2015
I coordinated a specialist group of professionals managing
Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear risks in
Bucharest. This involved attending sites that had been reported
as a biohazard, assessing resources required at the site and
monitoring activities carried out ensuring this was to a safe
standard.
During this period I qualified as a firefighter and worked
actively in this role.
Military Psychologist – Chief of Psychology Department
Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Bucharest, 2005-2014
I took on developing the first Military Psychologist role within
the firefighters department in Romania. During this time I grew
the team by developing the job roles of further psychologists
within the department, overseeing their activities and supporting
with professional development.
My role as a psychologist involved me carrying out
psychological assessments and testing for both the recruitment
and yearly re-evaluation of firefighters and other professionals
across the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations. Alongside this,
I facilitated debriefs to firefighters and their families following
incidents.
I coordinated the assessments and psychological intervention for
six counties within Romania.
