Once upon a time, there was a software engineer who used to develop programs on his Pentium machine, sitting
under a tree on the banks of a river. He used to earn his bread by selling those programs in the Sunday market.

One day, while he was working, his machine tumbled off the table and fell in the river. Encouraged by the
Panchatantra story of his childhood (the woodcutter and the axe)

He started praying to the River Goddess. The River Goddess wanted to test him and so appeared only after one month
of rigorous prayers. The engineer told her that he had lost his computer in the river.

As usual, the Goddess wanted to test his honesty. She showed him a match box and asked, " Is this your computer ?"
Disappointed by the Goddess' lack of computer awareness, the engineer replied, " No.“

She next showed him a pocket-sized calculator and asked if that was his. Annoyed, the engineer said "No, not at all !!“

Finally, she came up with his Pentium machine and asked if it was his. The engineer, left with no option, sighed and
said " Yes.“

The River Goddess was happy with his honesty. She was about to give him all three items, but before she could make
the offer, the engineer asked her, "Don't you know that you're supposed to show me some better computers before
bringing up my own ?”

The River Goddess, angered at this, replied, "I know that, you stupid donkey! The first two things I showed you were
the Trillennium and the Billennium, the latest computers from IBM !". So saying, she disappeared with the Pentium!!

Moral :If you're not up-to-date with technology trends , it's better to keep your mouth shut and let
people think you're fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
QUIZZING!!!
Hello Friends,
Through this brief article i will try and speak about the famous word “QUIZ”!

The word "Quiz " is rumoured to have come into existence in 1971 when an Irish man by the
name James Daly made a bet that he could introduce a word into the language within 24 hours . He
then coined the word “Quiz" which was then a nonsense word and since no one knew what it meant,
everyone thought that it was some sort of a test... !

Quiz is a game which has come in vogue in the last 10-15 years… especially among the
younger generation but., the older generation is certainly not behind time when it comes to Quiz.

Quizzes have become popular because participating in a quiz itself is most exciting , no
matter what is the result of the quiz. many participants feel an intense feeling of satisfaction when
they hit the nail on the head enduring a tricky trivia or question.. and also on the other hand manifest
a feeling of smugness when the answer is the tip of your tongue but its not your chance !

Quizzing is not just about knowledge and stores of information in your mind.. but about
timely and sharp reflexes, quick recalling power and having the right idea about a question asked.
The most common misconception about quizzing is that it is the domain of the intelligent people but
it's hardly true. One does not require anything extraordinary in his / her genes to be a good quizzer..
it's just open ears and open eyes that the "quiz" demands. So the motto about Quizzing is “Whether
you Lose or Win a quiz, it does not matter, but never miss one!!"

Go Quizzing !!!

Unconditional
Love…
A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his
parents from San Francisco.

"Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me.“

"Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him.“

"There's something you should know the son continued, "he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped
on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us.“

"I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live.“

"No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us."

"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible
burden on us. We have our own lives to live, and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I
think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own.“

At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later,
however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building,
they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were
taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. They recognized him, but to their horror they also
discovered something they didn't know, their son had only one arm and one leg.

The parents in this story are like many of us. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to
have around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. We would rather
stay away from people who aren't as healthy, beautiful, or smart as we are. Thankfully, there's someone who
won't treat us that way. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever
family, regardless of how messed up we are.

Tonight, before you tuck yourself in for the night, say a little prayer that God will give you the strength you
need to accept people as they are, and to help us all be more understanding of those who are different from
us!!!
It's a dog's life after
A butcher watching over his shop isall...
really surprised when he sees a dog coming inside the shop. He shoos him
away. But later, the dog is back again. So, he goes over to the dog and notices it has a note in its mouth.

He takes the note and it reads "Can I have 12 sausages and a leg of lamb, Please".

The dog has money in its mouth, as well. The butcher looks inside and, there is a ten dollar note there. So he takes
the money and puts the sausages and lamb in a bag, placing it in the dog's mouth.

The butcher is so impressed, and since it's about closing time, he decides to shut the shop and follow the dog. So
off he goes. The dog is walking down the street, when it comes to a level crossing; the dog puts down the bag,
jumps up and presses the button.
Then it waits patiently, bag in mouth, for the lights to turn. They do, and it walks across the road, with the butcher
following him all the way.

The dog then comes to a bus stop, and starts looking at the timetable.
The butcher is in awe as the dog stops a bus by pulling its left leg up and gets in it. The butcher follows the dog into
the bus. Then the dog shows a ticket which is tied to its belt to the bus conductor. The butcher is nearly fainting at
this sight, so are the other passengers in the bus.

The dog then sits near the driver's seat looking outside waiting for the bus stop to come. As soon as the stop is in
sight, the dog stands and wags its tail to inform the conductor.
Then, without waiting for the bus to stop completely, it jumps out of the bus and runs to a house very close to the
stop. It opens the big Iron Gate and rushes inside towards the door.

As it approaches the wooden door, the dog suddenly changes its mind and heads towards the garden.
It goes to the window, and beats its head against it several times, walks back, jumps off, and waits at the door.
The butcher watches as a big guy opens the door, and starts abusing the dog, kicking him and punching him, and
swearing at him.

The butcher surprised with this, runs up, and stops the guy.
"What in heaven's name are you doing? The dog is a genius. He could be on TV, for the life of me!" to which the
Guy responds: You call this clever?
This is the second time this week that this stupid dog's forgotten his key."

Moral of the story:

You may continue to exceed onlooker's expectations but shall always fall short of the boss' expectations.
It's a dog's life after all...
Transparent Butterfly

It comes from Central America and is found from Mexico to Panama. It is quite common in its zone, but it
not easy to find because of its transparent wings, which is a natural camouflage mechanism.

A butterfly with transparent wings is rare and beautiful. As delicate as finely blown glass, the presence of
this rare tropical gem is used by rain forest ecologists as an indication of high habitat quality and its
demise alerts them of ecological change. Rivalling the refined beauty of a stained glass window, the
translucent wings of the Glasswing butterfly shimmer in the sunlight like polished panes of turquoise,
orange, green, and red.

All things beautiful do not have to be full of colour to be noticed: in life that which is unnoticed has the
most power.
