THE ROLE OF FAITH AND CONFESSION

FAITH (The Word of God feeds faith)

The just shall live by faith. Heb 10:38

Faith is essential for sustaining our Christianity and without it, it is impossible to please God.
Heb 11:6

Faith comes only by hearing the powerful Word of God (Rom 10:17). Lack of faith is not God’s
fault. God has provided the way whereby everyone can have faith.

CONFESSIONS

The word “confessions” comes from the Greek word “homologeo” which has the following
translations:

1. To concede, not to refuse

2. To profess
3. To praise, celebrate
4. To say same thing as another i.e. to agree with

Confessions are a vital part of our faith. Confession precedes passion

You must confess God’s word to bring the thing you desire into reality

Observe these:

1. We do not confess to believe but believe so we confess. 2 Cor 4:13

2. Confession is not to make things happen but to celebrate and concede to the things that
have happened though not yet seen.
