Brief Profile:
Mahamat holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the prestigious University of Khartoum, Sudan. He
attained a master's in management from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy.
Since 2005, Mahamat has been working within the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR),
with his expertise, in many countries such as Chad, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Switzerland, Rwanda,
Tanzania, Angola, Yemen, Jordan, Iraq, and Haiti.
Presently, Mahamat commands a pivotal role as a senior shelter cluster coordinator in Nigeria, where he
fervently dedicates his efforts towards assisting over two million internally displaced persons (IDPs) by
adeptly managing and overseeing their shelter, non-food items (NFI) and camp coordination and camp
management (CCCM) needs.
His profound impact is evident in different camps he has designed for refugees and internally displaced
persons, paired with leadership skills honed through managing diverse teams during numerous emergencies.
Additionally, he has diligently fulfilled the role of focal point for UNHCR, facilitating the Master Plan Approach
collaboration with Stanford University and ENNEAD Architectural from New York.
He presided over the Research and Technology Commission of the Africa Union of Architects (AUA).
Moreover, his exceptional contributions led him to serve as a Council Member of AUA many times.
With an extensive career spanning over two decades in Architecture and Humanitarian Aid Work, Ibrahim
showcased his abilities as the Vice President of the Ordre des Architectes du Tchad (ONAT) from 2019 to
2021. He has also actively engaged with numerous other associations within the field of architecture.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mahamat finds solace in exploration and photography, traveling
extensively across more than 60 countries. His linguistic prowess adds to his multifaceted persona, as he
fluently converses in French, English, and Arabic.

Profil :
Mahamat est titulaire d'une licence en architecture de la prestigieuse université de Khartoum, au Soudan. Il
a obtenu une maîtrise en gestion de l'Université Bocconi de Milan, en Italie.
Depuis 2005, Mahamat travaille au sein du Haut Commissariat des Nations Unies pour les Réfugiés (HCR). Il
apporte son expertise dans de nombreux pays comme le Tchad, le Nigeria, le Burkina Faso, le Cameroun, la
Suisse, le Rwanda, la Tanzanie, l'Angola, le Yémen, la Jordanie, l'Irak. , et Haïti.
Actuellement, Mahamat joue un rôle central en tant que coordinateur principal du cluster abris au Nigeria,
où il consacre avec ferveur ses efforts à aider plus de deux millions de personnes déplacées à l'intérieur du
pays (PDI) en gérant et en supervisant habilement leurs abris, leurs besoins non alimentaires (NFI) et leur
camp, en matière de coordination et de gestion (CCCM).
Son impact profond est évident dans les différents camps qu'il a conçus pour les réfugiés et les personnes
déplacées à l'intérieur du pays, associé à des compétences en leadership perfectionnées grâce à la gestion
d'équipes diverses lors de nombreuses situations d'urgence. De plus, il a rempli avec diligence le rôle de point
focal pour le HCR, facilitant la collaboration avec l'approche du plan directeur avec le soutien de l'Université
de Stanford et ENNEAD Architectural de New York.
Avec une longue carrière de plus de deux décennies dans l'architecture et l'aide humanitaire, Ibrahim a
démontré ses capacités en tant que vice-président de l'Ordre des Architectes du Tchad (ONAT) de 2019 à
2021. Il s'est également activement engagé auprès de nombreuses autres associations dans le domaine de
l'architecture.
