Creating wealth through sustainable development

SUBJECT: A project presented to His Excellency the Minister of Small

and Medium Size Enterprise for the Sponsorship of a one-day conference
on the theme ‘CAREER ORIENTATION AND JOB
CREATION/OPPOORTUNITIES’

Sir,

In this time of multiple challenges being socio-economic, political unrest and the advent of
COVID 19 pandemic, your ministry has been able to participate in nation building through the
creation of job opportunities and facilitating the signing of contracts with foreign partners to
promote economic development. Through the agency of promotion of small and medium size
enterprise, you have been able to sign over 8 conventions with banks and over 50 projects has
been presented for financing; thereby reducing poverty and creating jobs for the country’s
growing labor force. You have been able to put smiles on the faces of our youths through your
numerous financial, moral and educative support. Your work has not definitely gone unnoticed.
We say thank you for your humanitarian actions geared at making our society a better one.

INCIDE (Institute of Creativity, Artistic Innovation and Development) international is a non-

governmental organization (NGO) with existence dating from 2015 that is out for sustainable
development through identification and empowerment in professional and economic
achievements with the main objectives to create 2 million jobs by 2024 in all Sub-Sahara Africa.
In order to achieve the above objectives, INCIDE has been able to mobilize 600 youths who were
trained and inspired to come out with sustainable projects in agriculture, animal farming, fashion
and designing, hair dressing, food business and other retail businesses. Where they form groups
ranging from 5-15 per groups and other registering as C.I.Gs. we received a visit from the
Regional Delegates of Livestock, Animal and Fisheries, Regional Delegates of Civic Education
and Patriotism, a Delegation from the Youths Affairs, the Nutritionist Mr. Roger of UNICEF, Mr.
Cosmos from UN OCHA, SOWEDA. INCIDE has also empowered over 70 volunteers mostly
youths which are graduates from higher institutions in Buea South West Region. We equally have
a medical team of 15 medical personnel who perform in areas of health intervention and outreach
to internally displaced persons. We also engage in a partnership with CCREAD to train 100
youths in computer, tailoring and hairdressing, and over 100 youths are benefiting from these
vocational training activities like bead making, catering, hairdressing, tailoring etc. INCIDE
INTERNATIONAL is also actively involved in humanitarian activities. In 2021 from the month
of March, we registered over 10000 IDPs; men, women and children, who came from the
neighboring villages and towns where the crises were very severe (EKONA, MUYUKA,
KUMBA, MBANGA-BAKONDO, MAMFE area. In our Yaoundé branch office, we have over
15 internship students learning and acquiring skills on career orientation, project identification,
project writing and job creation. Practically, we have empowered over 6 youths with financial aid
to startup their businesses. We have been able to organize a 5 days conference titled “Useful
Holidays” which took place from 23rd to the 27th of August 2021 with the presence of over 30
youths. This event was graced by the presence of the delegation from the Ministry of Economy
and Regional Planning, head of mission of the Economic Community of Central African states in
D.R Congo, Diplomat Mm Sonia from the Ministry of External Relations. All this was done in an
attempt to empower youths and promote self-employment within the framework of sustainable
development.

After the 5days conference held in our our branch office at Carrefour BIYEM-ASSI
opposite Prestige hotel. INCIDE CAMEROON realized that most students still have
difficulties in choosing a field of study, identifying and writing projects, talk less of creating
a job for themselves. It is for this reason we came up with a one-day conference on the
theme ‘CAREER ORIENTATION AND JOB CREATION/OPPORTUNITIES’ on the
7th October 2021 at Yaoundé 6 council opposite acacia market at 3pm for both students,
non-students, job seekers and parents. INCIDE Cameroon is therefore seeking your
support to assist us in the organization this conference which will help Orientate students on
choosing a field of study from form 4 to upper sixth, Encourage them on their personal
goals or desires, Advice post graduates on securing jobs, Advice postgraduate on job
creations, Reinforcing capacities of undergraduates on a successful university studies, Drill
both post graduates and under graduates on the mobilization of funds for Business projects.

Your sponsoring of this project is a demonstration of your commitment to the development of our
youths towards nation building, and largely reducing the high level of unemployment in the
region. Giving young Cameroonians the opportunity to actively participate in vision 2035 of an
emerging economy in Africa. Your contribution would be a major factor in maintaining peace
and stability in the region, as we all know that idleness is the devil workshop.
