The Committee will recommend the varieties for notification for the purpose of the Seeds Act and the areas for which these kinds/varieties are to be so notified on the basis of data of field trials, and recommendation of All India Coordinated Workshop or recommendation of State Seed Sub-Committee. ji, It will recommend minimum limits of germination, genetic and physical purity to be specified with regards to the notified kinds/varieties of seeds/planting materials of Agriculture crops. ii, It will recommend particulars for the “Mark” or Label” to be specified in respect of the notified kinds/varieties. iv. It will recommend the —release = and_—notification of varieties/hybrid/composites/synthetics/multilines etc. evolved by All India Coordinated Research Projects and Central Research Institutes. v. It will recommend the release and notification of _varieties/hybrid composites/synthetics/multiines etc, evolved by private sector. vi. It will recommend the release and notification of varieties evolved by the Research Organizations other than those by the All India Coordinated Research Projects and Central Research Institutes provided variety(ies) concerned was/were considered suitable for more than one State. vi, To delimit the regions or tracts for cultivation of each approved variety for release and notification. viii. To adopt a standard name for the variety approved for release and notification. ix. To suggest a standard description of the varieties approved for release for inclusion in the National Register of approved varieties. X. To suggest any other matters related to Seed Development Programmes defined under the Seeds Act. 2. The Headquarter of the Central Sub-Committee on Crop Standards, Notification and Release of Varieties for Agricultural Crops shall be at New Delhi and the Committee will continue to function unless earlier dissolved by an Order of the Central Seed Committee. 3.
