Diet 14 is prescribed for urolithiasis
Diet 14 refers to a set of medical diets designed to treat various diseases in which
dietary changes are an effective method of restoring health. Diet 14 is used in the
treatment of urolithiasis with excretion of calcium-phosphorus salts in the urinary
sediment (phosphaturia). The main task of diet 14 is to prevent the loss of calcium-
phosphorus salts in the urinary sediment and create conditions conducive to their
excretion from the body, namely, the establishment of acid-base balance towards
acidity.

In the diet for urolithiasis, the predominant foods are those that are rich in calcium
salts, acidic in taste and limiting alkaline valencies. Diet 14 meets all the
physiological needs of the body for fats, proteins and carbohydrates, contains the
energy value and nutrients necessary for the normal functioning of the body. In the
absence of circulatory disorders while dieting with kidney stones, abundant use
and administration of fluids is recommended.
The method of cooking is varied, but you should not overuse dishes fried in
sunflower oil. The chemical composition and energy value of the daily diet with
diet 14 are as follows:
Proteins - 90-100 g;
Fats - 100 g, of which 25-30% should be vegetable fats;
Carbohydrates - 400 g;
Table salt - 6 g;
Retinol - 0.6 mg;
Carotene - 8.4 mg;
Thiamine - 1.9 mg;
Riboflavin - 1.9 mg;
Nicotinic acid - 23 mg;
Ascorbic acid - 130 mg;
Sodium - 4.4 g;
Potassium - 4.7 g;
Calcium - 0.95 g;
Magnesium - 0.4 g;
Phosphorus - 1.9 g;
Iron - 0.06 g;
Energy value - 2800-2900 kcal.
Diet with urolithiasis prohibits the use of 14 foods that contribute to the
formation of kidney stones
The consumption of liquid (water, tea, coffee, etc.) should be at least 3 liters per
day, the diet should be 4-5 times a day.
