Uses of copper
Copper age:
Copper age is also called chalcolithic period, was
an era of transition between the stone tool-using
farmers of the Neolithic and the metal-obsessed
civilizations of the Bronze Age . The Copper Age
was really a phenomenon of the eastern
Mediterranean regions, and occurred from roughly
3500 to 2300 BCE.
History:
The Copper Age also known as chalcolithic age
succeeded the Stone Age with the introduction
of copper tools to replace the tools made by
stone knapping. This age began at different
times throughout thr world but it generally
lasted no longer than 1000 yeas in any
location. Copper production facilities appeared
in the middle east, eastern Europe, western
Asia, and india.
Advancements in art field:
During this time, human societies began widely
utilizing copper for a variety of reasons. They
used it to make metal tools for agriculture,
construction, and other aspects of daily life.
They were still using stone tools as well, but
metal was becoming pretty appealing. They
also used copper in sculpture, jewelry, and
decorative objects.
