1. Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM): This group is an offshoot of Al-Qaida and
has carried out a number of attacks in North Africa, including in Morocco.
2. Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS): Although ISIS has not been as active in
Morocco as it has been in other countries, it has still carried out several attacks on
Moroccan soil.
3. Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC): This group is another offshoot of
Al-Qaida and has carried out attacks in North Africa, including in Morocco.
4. Moroccan Islamic Combatant Group (GICM): This group was founded in the late
1990s and has been involved in several terrorist attacks in Morocco and other
countries.
The Moroccan government has taken a number of steps to combat terrorism, including
increasing its security measures, cooperating with international partners, and
implementing a series of legal and institutional reforms to address the root causes of
extremism.

Europe, and there are various criminal organizations that smuggle people across the country's

Organizations in Morocco
1. Association Marocaine d'Aide aux Refugies et Migrants (AMERM): This
organization works to support refugees and migrants in Morocco through
various initiatives such as providing legal aid, assistance with housing
and health care, and social support.
2. Fondation Orient-Occident: This organization works to support migrants
and refugees in Morocco by providing vocational training, educational
support, and cultural exchange programs.
3. Caritas Morocco: Caritas is a Catholic organization that provides
assistance and support to vulnerable populations in Morocco, including
refugees and migrants.

What is Morocco’s stance on workers being exploited in sub-Sahara?


Morocco’s King Mohamed VI has said that Western Sahara is “not negotiable”,
when I comes to the territory. Yet, it will not turn a blind eye towards the
vulnerable Moroccan workers that work for the purpose of providing monetary
liquidity for their families’ survival. Therefore, since they’re on the Tayssir
program, they still receive monthly funds from the government.

 The Moroccan government does have a National Human Rights Council
(CNDH) that is responsible for protecting the human rights of all
individuals, including migrants, within Moroccan territory.

 On Tuesday 21 feb, The Permanent Arab Commission on Human Rights,


held at the initiative of Morocco and at the invitation of the General
Secretariat of the League of Arab States, Al-Mutairi noted that, since the
establishment of the Commission in 1968, Morocco has presented several
initiatives, including the "Arab plan for strengthening the culture of
human rights" and the "Arab plan for education in the field of human
rights". The ambassador also expressed his thanks to the Kingdom for its
"distinguished initiative and its pioneering approach" in hosting this
session of the Permanent Arab Committee on Human Rights. As for the
items on the agenda of this session, Al-Mutairi said that the meeting also
focus on strengthening the Arab strategy for human rights, establishing a
vision for the official launch of the Arab plan for education in the field of
human rights, in addition to following up on the efforts made in the
framework of the "declaration on combating all forms of violence against
women and girls.”

These agreements contain a provision to provide relevant information so that
workers can make an informed decision about migrating. Article 4 of the
Morocco–Qatar Agreement regulating the Employment of Moroccan Workers
in the State of Qatar stipulates that requests for Moroccan workers made by
Qatari employers must include all pertinent information necessary to enable the
worker to make an informed decision about the employment offer. This includes
working conditions, wages, and end of service rewards, among others.
