    London's buildings are too diverse to be characterised by any particular architectural style, partly
    because of their varying ages. Many grand houses and public buildings, such as the National Gallery,
    are constructed from Portland stone.

    ANIMALS

    Among other inhabitants of London are 10,000 red foxes, so that there are now 16 foxes for every
    square mile (6 per square kilometre) of London. Other mammals found in Greater London are
    hedgehog, brown rat, mice, rabbit, shrew, vole, and grey squirrel
