Reflections Semester
Well, it sure was a ride to this point. Who am I am what I am going to talk about? I’m a
student in college from the XXI Century learning about society. Society that now decided it
has versions of itself. Society 5.0
After a full semester of having weeking classes and two-hour long lectures I can sure say I
know a lot more about “Society” from before. Some people that read the name in maybe a
pamphlet may think that this class is about the behavior of human kind in a society thought
the ages. And they may be right. But we also see the technological advances of said
society trough the centuries. If life exists in other planets. Have they had a million long age
of evolution of societies as much as we do?
Right now, our teachers have made us clear that we are currently in a Society 4.0. Where
technology has become an essential part of our lives. Some people may not see it like that
but its true. In just a couple years we have improved and evolved as a society. An
exponential growth. It took thousands of years to go from a civilization 2.0 to a 3.0. But just
a couple decades to get to 4.0. The time waiting it getting lower. In some years we will be
reaching society 5.0. It’s a fact.
Now, getting back to our project. I learned a lot about city planning. I didn’t know that more
technology could be implemented in the roads. I thouth that red lights were that ultimate
technology. But the future has brought us wonders. Like self driving cars and AI. Our
project consisted in installing monitors in many places of Mexico city. This to gather data
from traffic.
And with this information find a solution to traffic jams and derivatives. Who said that we
couldn’t use AI to some traffic problems? Now, with all this information we could give it to
an AI that could find the better solution to traffic.
Doing this project has teched me a lot about gathering information about new technology
and how to build a smart city.

Team performance
Surely, there’s not much no say about this topic. My team was excellent. All of them. They
all worked accorded to plan. Reunite at the accorded hour and get along well.
We worked as a team and delivered a great project for the class. I have no objections with
this team. I got to knew some people from Mexico City and learn about their culture and
how different is from here at the north.
If I were to rank my team, I would give it a 10/10.
