GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
For students to be able to appreciate
writing as a tool of expression and be
able to describe a given scene with
clarity using descriptive words and spatial
order.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES: At the end of this lesson, students
should be able to:

1. review and list vivid verb vivid adjectives and vivid


descriptions of the seaside; then

2. define and explain spatial order and spatial order


techniques; and finally

3. demonstrate understanding by describing a given scene


using one or two spatial order techniques.

When describing a scene or place, you want to ensure the reader is
able to experience it in an organised manner.

SPATIAL ORDER
Spatial order refers to organising or arranging your descriptions of a
scene or place.

SPATIAL ORDER TECHNIQUES


Describe your scene from:
1. Top to bottom or bottom to top
2. Left to right or right to left
3. back to front or front to back (background to foreground)
