Cyberbullying

Online harassment is one of the worrisome issues that comes to us with the
omnipresence of the Internet and social networks. Bullies can use different means,
such as text messages, social networks themselves or online games, to annoy in
different ways.
For this reason, if someone suspects that they are being bullied online, it is important
to seek help and support and, for this, it is necessary to be informed beforehand. For
this reason, in this post we will talk about two very common forms of online
harassment: cyberbullying and sexting.

8 Types of Cyberbullying:
Electronic insults.
Harassment
Denigration
Impersonation
Extraction
Exclusion
Cyber persecution
Happy slapping
These acts generate fear, confusion and insecurity in the victims, even reaching the
point of not allowing them to feel safe anywhere for fear of being recognized and,
therefore, harassed.

What is cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying is the intentional and repeated use of information technology to harass,
harass, or defame another person It can include threats, spreading rumors or lies,
sending humiliating or aggressive text messages or emails, posting embarrassing
photos or videos without consent, and intentionally excluding you from online groups.
Cyberbullying can be particularly harmful because it can reach a wide audience and
can be very difficult to stop.

Spreading lies or posting embarrassing photos or videos of someone on social media.

Sending hurtful, abusive or threatening messages, images or videos through
messaging platforms Impersonating another person and sending aggressive
messages on behalf of said person or through fake accounts. Face-to-face bullying
and cyberbullying often go together.

PREVENTION
We can't do anything about the digital lynchings that have occurred in the past. There
have been victims who will never be the same again. Human beings marked by the
indifference and "anonymity" that digital media provides to its victims who have caused
them harm. The truth is that the opportunities to minimize these situations begin with a
process in which Social Networks are once again an ideal instrument: the
dissemination and prevention of verbal violence, public humiliation and other forms of
expression of these inhuman behaviors. The best way to avoid violence in prevention.

Everyone can do something to confront bullying once they identify it.

• Do not participate in harassment
• Do not spread rumors online.
• Report and block
• Inform school authorities
