Backstory
Part 1
I come from the city of Vesrah in the Ozmit Sea, home of the Water Ashari. The mission of the
duirds there is too guard a portal to the Water Plane and defend it from the Kraken that lives
beyond it.
The druids must regularly go in the Water plane to get magnetic rocks that stabilize the portal.
My mother is one of the druids that regularly do the run to the Water Plane. She got pregnant
of me not long after she came back from the Water Plane.
I lived a happy childhood, having a lot of friends around me. In my mid teenage years, I started
to have a strange feeling from time to time, attracting me to the portal. It was easy to disregard
it at simple curiosity.
The feeling was weak but growing up more, it started to really have a toll on me. I wanted to go
in the portal but, since I am not a druid, I could not traverse it. Something or someone was
pulling me to it and at some point, every time I sensed that attraction, I had pain in my back.
At the age of 19, I disguised myself as a druid to enter the Water Plane. By deceiving guards of
my true identity, I managed to enter the Water Plane. Arriving in, I started swimming in in a
direction, I knew exactly where to go, I had a goal. At some point the water started to be darker
and a creepy feeling like someone was watching me. After some time in the darker water the
urge to go further vanished and coming from under me, large tentacles made a wall in front of
me. In panic I turn around to go back to the portal. Facing me is a Kraken, directly looking at me.
He started talking to me, telling me that he was interested in me and waited years for us to
meet. He gives me a choice, either die here and now or make a contract with him. He wants me
to, for the moment, live and developpe my powers, and one day he might have a task for me.
After closing the deal, the Kraken transport me fast to the portal.
Coming back to the Material Plane, I immediately went home, made my bags, and did a note to
my family. I told them in the note not to worry about me and what happened to me making up
something else than a Kraken, being the enemy of the city. I left on a trading ship.

Part 2
In the boat, I met a group of adventurers that were searching for some treasure on an island
close by. I didn’t really try to make them my friend, keeping mostly to myself, but a human druid
named Linen was really friendly and came to talk to me when I was on the main deck of the
ship. I stayed on that ship for six months and in the meantime me and Linen became good
friends and write to each other from time to time.
Part 3
After getting out of the ship, in Nicodronas, I went North in the Dwendalian Empire, scamming
and stealing to make ends meet. For four years I did this, small game and little tricks.

Part 4
At the age of 24, in a tavern, I was trying to scam some people at a game of cards. At some
point, a beautifull air Genasi women with really pale white blueish skin and white masking on
her face and body. I see her using good sleight of hands to relieve some people from their
purse.
At some point in the evening we started talking and flirting and than proceeded to spend the
night together in my room. In the morning, she tried to sneak out with some of my belongings
while I was in the bathroom. The moment she was about to pass the door, I came out of the
bathroom telling her it wouldn’t be a good idea to leave without her purse and jewelry’s.
At that moment we started a double act together. I was more of the face, scamming people up
front and she was emptying their pockets just after the deed, she stole objects from the rich and
I sold them in other cities. Malvia and I travelled for five years, enjoying life together and
making money. We were travelling between the Dwendalian Empire and the Kryn Dynasty,
selling this that we stole from one side to the other.

Part 5
Two years ago, in a Kryn Dynasty city (to be determine), Malvia left early in the morning to do
some errands. Not much than 10 minutes after she left, city guards stormed in our room and
arrested me for theft, counterfeit, and other crimes. I spend the next year asking myself why I
was the only one arrested, if she betrayed me or if it was just dumb luck that she left and
escaped.
I spent that year doing hard labor for the Kryn Dynasty at the border of the Dwendalian Empire,
I was helping build fortifications. One day, the Dwendalian Empire attacked the outpost I was
working in. In the midst of the battle, I saved the life of someone in the Dens family and because
of that, I was rewarded my freedom. Ever since, I have been looking for answer to what
happened before I was imprisoned.
 Malvia
Rogue, 30 years old, female, Air Genasi
(though she wears a back cloak most of the time)
She is witty and charming when you know her. She doesn’t trust that many people and as a
range of connection in the criminal world.
 Linen

Human druid, 37 years old and good friend of mine.

My last contact with Linen was 6 months ago. At that time, I explained to him what happened to
me, and he told me he was adventuring with five other brave companions.
He is a really nice guy and friendly to everyone, though if someone wrongs a person he cares
about, he can make that person life a living hell.
He explained to me that before starting his adventuring career, he was a sailor on the
menagerie coast.

Brixon
He always was a cunning person. About a year or two after I left Vesrah, he went on an
adventure and at the same time tried to search for me. We found each other when I was with
Malvia, we catched up and left with his group. I think we left in good terms, but he might have a
grunge against me for leaving without saying goodbye.

Jayleth

She was always good at helping people, though it was never free. She now is a runner in Vesrah.
We had good bond until I left and never saw each other again after my departure. I heard from
my bother that she is a merchant when they don’t need her skills behind the portal. She mostly
does deals on the Menagerie Coast.
