The 3M advertisement
Eighteen years earlier, 3M experimented with a interactive marketing campaign simple yet so effective
for their new shatter resistant glass. In 2005, A glass company 3M challenged public to break down a
glass at a bus stop guarding 3 million dollars. And they said that the winner could take all the money
home. People tried everything to shatter the glass but it simply wouldn’t break. The ad was so simple
that they did not pay anyone to be their model, there is no picture or graphics to catch eyes and there’s
barely any words to read. Their only words were their name. 3M Security Glass. The company used what
people love the most to attract them. Well, it turns out that most of the money was fake but, the ad
surely did succeed to prove that they make some good glass. And it is still known as one of the most
creative advertisements ever made.
